World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of weapons, armors and rings. They also boost extra bonuses like PvE damage and crit chance.

For example a weapon that has the upgrade template that is ending in % will take on an attack damage of 3% each time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).

Item upgrading costs crests and the current level of the item. The cost increases with the item's level.

Components

Upgrade components can be incorporated into weapons, armor and trinkets to give them a stat boost or an extra effect. These can be obtained by making crafts, buying from vendors or trading with other players, or looting. Certain upgrades come with special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into any equipment that has a slot to accommodate them; the item must be at the very least upgraded to blue level in order for the component to be applied. Upgrade components, unlike other mods can only be applied only once. They are not able to be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and Enrichments are type of upgrade component used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or ascended equipment, as well as some non-ascended items. Infusions and Enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment from the ascended state or completing a quest in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix may be added to an upgrade, thereby changing the name of the item it is used on (for example, 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades boost an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, allowing players create stronger versions of the equipment using fewer Upgrade Crystals than is required to achieve the same upgrade level through normal methods.

A 'boost' upgrade can alter the attack or defence characteristics of the weapon or armor. These upgrades can be made using the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene, and defeats the Crazed Mechanic. These upgrades can be purchased by purchasing them from the cash shop or collecting them from enemies when upgrading other gear.

The player can get up to five boost upgrades at a time. Each upgrade increases the probability that a higher-tier version of the item will be available during the next reset. This gives players a reason to upgrade their gear, even in the event that they don't know how much it will be improved after an update.

The process of upgrading an item can be expensive and it's possible that the item will eventually become obsolete, or even break, in the event that the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed if the upgrade fails. This is mitigated by the availability of cash shop items that can double or even eliminate possibility of failure, and a few upgrades that give an additional benefit when they are inserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to upgrade the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets that are specifically designed for. Glyphs boost the power of nodes within a radius, including any pre-existing attaches. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways, and we suggest upgrading them to 15 levels as soon as possible.

In the final game you'll often discover that the best way to enhance your equipment is to use Glyphs. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded directly to level 15, and they provide an enormous boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to climb higher nodes more quickly.

Most of the upgrades in the game can be replaced however Glyphs are the one upgrade component that can be removed and put back in place without restrictions. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and rebuilt using the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

Each Glyph has a specific range of values can enhance a stat by. The value is shown when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph that is the same or higher rank to boost the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of an Gem Store bundle or purchase, with certain unlimited-use tools as well as during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt has the possibility of dropping one of the numerous Glyphs, and there are some rare glyphs that can be found in the form of drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs then you need to place them on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a bonus that boosts the stats of a specific set of nodes within a radius around the Glyph. Depending on item upgrading will be +40 to one of your primary stats, or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Glyphs will increase the number of nodes connected to them, therefore it is recommended to place Glyphs in strategic locations on the Graph. This will increase the impact. For example an Druid should aim to place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes, but you should also be sure to place them near the most critical damage nodes too.

Leveling

The upgrade system for items allows players to increase the power of certain items by adding upgraded components. This is often referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item has a level that determines its upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded up to a maximum of 385. Each level of an item requires various components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.

Some upgrades require a special ingredient to activate. This ingredient can be obtained by making Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or on the upgrade tab of crafting tables. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed earns some Technology Points. These points can be used to level the item, and when enough points are earned, the upgrade can be claimed and its additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When the player improves a piece of equipment, the base item will be replaced by an item that is new. The same armor can be transformed into the form of a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will have its own set bonus. This could be a disadvantage in that the item could become more expensive even if you do not require it.

If the player has enough tokens they can roll item upgrades. This will cause the item to be exchanged for a brand new one, with an initial level and a different set of extra bonuses. This can be beneficial however it should not be used frequently as it could waste resources.

Certain upgrades can be rerolled many times which increases their value and allows the player to modify their equipment. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it gives a buff if the player continuously enters or exits water. The item can be upgraded multiple times by increasing the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item is highly important in PvP. A properly rolled version can be worth 50 times the value of the non-upgraded version.

Requirements

The item upgrader lets players increase the level of their equipment (armor weapons, armor trinkets, and weapons) above ilvl385 by presenting the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces increase its base defense and weapon upgrades items increase their base damage as well as the required strength and dexterity.

Each item can be upgraded a maximum of five times, with the exception of hero gear that can be upgraded up to eight times. Each when you upgrade an item it is given an opportunity to fail. The failure rate increases the farther you go over the maximum amount of upgrades. Failures will cause the item to go to its original state, which will force the user to pay more for materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the highest number of upgrades.

If an item is not able to upgrade the amount of experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. Additionally the item will lose any bonus it earned such as crit chance, attack damage, as well as all other effects that are associated with that effect (for instance, a higher healing over time or reload speed). The player is able to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied in order from the lowest to the highest. This means that the weapon that is upgraded increases its crit chance that it will be applied prior to any damage to attack increases. A new attribute called Slots has been added to the item's definition and the value is recomputed each time an upgrade is made.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating and number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equal to its value. For instance an item of common use could have five upgrades for a price of. 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items will have an incredibly lower cost for each upgrade.

Premium items may require different upgrades than regular gear. For instance they may require less sowels, but they will require more minerals and orons. Players will still have to take each piece of gear they wish to upgrade to NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each equipment upgrade will require different amounts of ingredients for upgrading, in addition to the cost listed above.
