The as-prepared films were stable for up to three weeks. In Ti2 O3 thin films, the insulator-metal transition is observed at ∼80 K, with nearly 3-4 orders of magnitude change in resistivity. The anomalous increase in electrical resistivity in the films is in accordance with the two-band model. However, the energy interval between the bands depending on the crystallographic c/a ratio leads to a change in electrical resistivity as a function of temperature.Pilomatrixoma is a benign, asymptomatic skin tumor that forms from hair follicle matrix cells. Most are under 3 cm in diameter and occur on the head, face, or neck. Bullous appearance is very rare in pilomatrixoma. In this case report, we present a case of bullous pilomatrixoma of unusual size, region, symptoms, and patient age. It had been misdiagnosed as a keloid and as dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans. Early treatments were ineffective. The patient approached our outpatient facility and underwent excision. He was then diagnosed with pilomatrixoma by pathological examination. The clinical appearance of this case was quite difficult to diagnose, even MRI and B-ultrasonic examinations provided limited diagnostic evidence. Given the revelations from this case, we reemphasize the importance of performing a biopsy (if patients refused operation or preferred conservative treatment) before any invasive treatment to minimize economic or time loss of patients who have difficulties in diagnosis.
This study aimed to assess whether microcephaly is a risk factor for alterations in the chronology and sequence of tooth eruption and for developmental defects of enamel.
In this case-control study, 81 children aged 30-36months, including 40 normoreactive children and 41 with microcephaly, were submitted to oral clinical examination to determine the frequency of alterations in the chronology and sequence of tooth eruption and developmental enamel defects. The sample was matched for sex and age (11) and allocated to the case (presence of dental alterations) and control (absence of dental alterations) groups. Gestational age, birthweight and socioeconomic characteristics were also analyzed. Chi-square test and Fisher's exact test were applied (α=0.05).
Microcephaly was significantly associated with delayed tooth eruption, alterations in the sequence of tooth eruption, and defects in dental enamel (p<0.001). Low birthweight also showed a significant association with this alterations (p<0.005) and prematurity was associated with defects in enamel development (p<0.005).

Here, we report a heteroatom π-conjugated polymer featuring synergistic C=O and C=N active centres as a new cathode material in AIBs using a low-cost AlCl3 /urea electrolyte. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations reveal the fused C=N sites in the polymer not only benefit good π-conjugation but also enhance the redox reactivity of C=O sites, which enables the polymer to accommodate four AlCl2 (urea)2 + per repeating unit. By integrating the polymer with carbon nanotubes, the hybrid cathode exhibits a high discharge capacity and a long cycle life (295 mAh g-1 at 0.1 A g-1 and 85 mAh g-1 at 1 A g-1 over 4000 cycles). The achieved specific energy density of 413 Wh kg-1 outperforms most Al-organic batteries reported to date. Herein, we prepared a supramolecular monomer M1 with aggregation-induced ratiometric emission characteristics. With the increasing M1 concentration (0.100-100 mM), the average degree of polymerization (DPDOSY ) rose from 1.00 to 293. Meanwhile, the color changed from dark blue to cyan, finally to yellow-green in the same concentration range. Hence, the intuitive relationship between DPDOSY and fluorescence colors was constructed, allowing the visual differentiation of molecular weight. Moreover, the fluorescence color could be regulated by introducing a competitive molecule to induce the depolymerization of supramolecular polymers.
Develop a species-specific multiplex PCR to correctly identify Edwardsiella species in routine diagnostic for fish bacterial diseases.
The genomes of 62 Edwardsiella spp. isolates available from the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) database were subjected to taxonomic and pan-genomic analyses to identify unique regions that could be exploited by species-specific PCR. The designed primers were tested against isolated Edwardsiella spp. strains, revealing errors in commercial biochemical tests for bacterial classification regarding Edwardsiella species.
Some of the genomes of Edwardsiella spp. in the NCBI platform were incorrectly classified, which can lead to errors in some research. A functional mPCR was developed to differentiate between phenotypically and genetically ambiguous Edwardsiella, with which, we detected the presence of Edwardsiella anguillarum affecting fish in Brazil.

Instead, direct C-N bond formation from dinitrogen (N2 ) is of great interest but remains a challenge. Here, by virtue of unique plasma-liquid interactions, we developed an environmentally benign one-pot approach to directly couple benzene and N2 , two naturally abundant yet chemically inert molecules, into value-added arylamines. Under the optimal conditions, an amination yield of 45 % was rapidly achieved, far better than the reported benzene amination efficiency using ammonia. A tentative reaction mechanism was proposed involving the long-lived N2 (A3 Σ u + ) and N2 + species, as evidenced by the key intermediates detected. With a deeper mechanistic understanding and by further optimizing the plasma reactor, the realization of cost-effective electrical amination of benzene with N2 could become reality.
This study aims to determine how photosynthetic and antioxidant activities vary in vegetative and dormant cells of Haematococcus pluvialis subjected to stresses in conditions representative of industrial productions of microalgae under solar light.
The effects of short-term oxidative treatments were examined on photosynthetic and antioxidant activities of Haematococcus pluvialis vegetative and resting cells. The vegetative cells have 1.6 times higher levels of phenolic compounds, but 1.7 times less catalase, ascorbate peroxidase and superoxide dismutase activities than the astaxanthin-enriched resting cells. Mainly, a UVA dose of 4J cm
induced increases in photosystem II electron transport rates (ETRmax) (+15%), phenolic compounds (+15%), astaxanthin (+48%), catalase (+45%) and superoxide dismutase (+30%) activities in vegetative cells.
The UVA dose strongly stimulates the photosynthetic and antioxidant activities of vegetative cells, but only the accumulation of astaxanthin in resting cells.
These preliminary results show that oxidative stresses at sub-lethal levels can stimulate the activities of microalgae. Further investigations are needed to estimate the real influence on metabolite productivities in industrial production conditions.

Further investigations are needed to estimate the real influence on metabolite productivities in industrial production conditions.We report a cationic porphyrin 5,10,15,20-tetrakis-(4-N-methylpyridyl)-porphyrin (TMPyP) that can respond to specific bacteria, followed by adaptable photodynamic/photothermal therapy processes. TMPyP could be reduced to phlorin by facultative anaerobes with a strong reducing ability such as E. coli and S. typhimurium in hypoxic environments, possessing strong NIR absorption and remarkable photothermal conversion capacity, thus demonstrating excellent antimicrobial activity (>99 %) by photothermal therapy. While in an aerobic environment with aerobic bacteria, TMPyP functioned as a typical photosensitizer that killed bacteria effectively (>99.9 %) by photodynamic therapy. By forming a host-guest complex with cucurbit[7]uril, the biocompatibility of TMPyP significantly improved. This kind of bacteria-responsive porphyrin shows specificity and adaptivity in antimicrobial treatment and holds potential in non-invasive treatments of bacterial infections.The phase II study of tirabrutinib monotherapy at a daily dose of 480 mg under fasting conditions for treatment-naïve and relapsed/refractory Waldenström's macroglobulinemia (ONO-4059-05 study) demonstrated a promising efficacy and tolerable safety profile. We conducted an unplanned analysis with a median follow-up of 24.8 months to update the efficacy and safety results and to report patient-reported quality of life. Of 27 enrolled patients, 22 patients continued receiving the study drug. The major response assessed by an independent review committee was observed in 25 patients (93%), including one and five patients who newly achieved complete response and very good partial response, respectively, after the primary analysis. The progression-free and overall survival rates at 24 months were 92.6% and 100%, respectively. Serum IgM levels in all patients except one declined and were maintained at low levels, although transient increases occurred after temporal interruption of the study drug. The disease-related symptoms including recurrent fever and hyperviscosity mostly disappeared.
