For each cardiorespiratory variable, fifteen responses to sinusoidal forcing of different sinusoidal periods were simulated by using a first-order dynamic linear model. A wide range of linear drifts were subsequently applied. A and φ were computed for all drifted and non-drifted responses by using both F (AF and φF) and ML (AML and φML). For non-drifted responses, no differences between AF vs AML and φF vs φML were found. Whereas AF and φF were affected by the sinusoidal linear drifts, AML and φML were not. Significant interaction effects (technique x drift) were found for A (P  0.851). Higher goodness of fit values were observed when using ML for drifted V˙E and HR responses only. The present findings suggest ML as a recommended technique to use when sinusoidal linear drifts occur during sinusoidal exercise, and provide new insights on how to analyse drifted cardiorespiratory sinusoidal responses.

The purpose of this paper is to describe the variation of surgical plan and technique required in a rare subset of hemangioblastomas compared with the accepted general strategy. The established rule in hemangioblastoma surgery is to avoid cyst wall removal, as it is not neoplastic, and it will not recur if mural nodule is completely removed. However, the wall of the associated cyst is occasionally enhanced by gadolinium on preoperative magnetic resonance imaging.

We present the case of a patient with a hemangioblastoma that was progressively compressed by a growing cyst, with the final appearance of a contrast-enhanced cyst wall. We collected similar cases reported in the literature.

Our study points out the need for a tailored preoperative strategy, the usefulness of intraoperative fluorescent dyes, and the crucial role of frozen section histopathologic analysis to confirm diagnosis and optimize treatment.

COVID 19 is an acute respiratory disease caused by infection by the virus SARS-COV-2 and has been declared as a pandemic whose specific treatment is still not established. One of the options in the treatment is Convalescent plasma (CP) therapy when there is presence of required amount of neutralizing antibodies in the plasma of recovered COVID patients. Our objective was to analyze the challenges and the constraints encountered in motivation of COVID 19 recovered persons to come for the screening procedures and to convince the selected persons to come for Plasma donation voluntarily.

The present retrospective observational study was conducted for a period of five and half months. Out of 1515 number of persons contacted telephonically for Plasma donation, 1291 persons came for screening of whom 1028 persons were eligible for donation, 263 cases were deferred and 966 persons finally donated.
