Lower methane yield was associated with the concentrate-rich diet (p  less then  0.001). The results provided new insight into the relationship between rumen metabolites, CH4 production and diets, as well as showing that metabolites alone have an acceptable association with the variation in CH4 production from beef cattle. Many molecular system biology approaches recognize various interactions and functional associations of proteins that occur in cellular processing. Further understanding of the characterization technique reveals noteworthy information. These types of known and predicted interactions, gained through multiple resources, are thought to be important for experimental data to satisfy comprehensive and quality needs. The current work proposes the "WeiBI (WeiBiologicalInteractions)" database that clarifies direct and indirect partnerships associated with biological interactions. This database contains information concerning protein's functional partnerships and interactions along with their integration into a statistical model that can be computationally predicted for humans. This novel approach in WeiBI version 1.0 collects information using an improved algorithm by transferring interactions between more than 115570 entries, allowing statistical analysis with the automated background for the given inputs for functional enrichment. This approach also allows the input of an entity's list from a database along with the visualization of subsets as an interaction network and successful performance of the enrichment analysis for a gene set. This wisely improved algorithm is user-friendly, and its accessibility and higher accuracy make it the best database for exploring interactions among genomes' network and reflects the importance of this study. The proposed server "WeiBI" is accessible at http//weislab.com/WeiDOCK/?page=PKPD.There is distinct pathogenesis between primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) and primary angle-closure glaucoma (PACG). Although elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) is the major risk factor for glaucoma, non-IOP risk factors such as vascular abnormalities and lower systolic/diastolic perfusion pressure may play a role in the pathogenic process. This study aimed to compare the vessel density (VD) in the optic disc and macula using optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) between POAG and PACG eyes. Thirty-two POAG eyes, 30 PACG eyes, and 39 control eyes were included. All the optic disc VD parameters except the inside disc VD were significantly lower in glaucomatous eyes than in control eyes. Compared with PACG eyes, only the inferior temporal peripapillary VD was significantly lower in POAG eyes. The parafoveal VD was significantly lower in each quadrant in glaucomatous eyes than in control eyes. The central macular and parafoveal VD did not differ between POAG and PACG eyes. In conclusion, the inferior temporal peripapillary VD was significantly reduced in POAG eyes compared with PACG eyes, while PACG eyes showed a more evenly distributed reduction in the peripapillary VD. The distinct patterns of VD change may be associated with the different pathogenesis between POAG and PACG.Scaling behaviour of dynamically driven vortex avalanches in superconducting YBa2Cu3O7-δ films deposited on tilted crystalline substrates has been observed using quantitative magneto-optical imaging. Two films with different tilt angles are characterized by the probability distributions of avalanche size in terms of the number of moving vortices. It is found in both samples that these distributions follow power-laws over up to three decades, and have exponents ranging between 1.0 and 1.4. The distributions also show clear finite-size scaling, when the system size is defined by the depth of the flux penetration front - a signature of self-organized criticality. A scaling relation between the avalanche size exponent and the fractal dimension, previously derived theoretically from conservation of the number of magnetic vortices in the stationary state and shown in numerical simulations, is here shown to be satisfied also experimentally.Tropical hilsa shad (Tenualosa ilisha) contributes significantly to the society and economy of Bangladesh, India and Myanmar, but little is known about their habitats across the life cycle and their relationship with environmental drivers. This study describes spatial and temporal variability of productivity in the Bay of Bengal (BoB) relating to hilsa fishery. Decadal data on net primary productivity, nutrients (i.e. Necrosulfonamide nitrate, phosphate and silicate) and zooplankton were collected from Aqua MODIS, world ocean database and COPEPOD respectively with spatial resolution 1°×1°. Moreover, monthly abundance of phytoplankton, hilsa catch and long-term catch dynamics were analyzed to determine the associations between variables. The present study was extended over 3.568 million km2 area, of which 0.131-0.213 million km2 area characterized as the most productive with net primary production of >2,000 mg C/m2/day, 0.373-0.861 million km2 area as moderately productive with 500-2,000 mg C/m2/day, and 2.517-3.040 million km2 area as the least productive with less then 500 mg C/m2/day which were consistent with field verification data. In case of nutrients, the Ganges-Brahmaputra-Meghna (GBM) delta was rich in nitrate and phosphate than that of the Ayeyarwady delta, while silicate concentration persisted high all over the northern BoB including the deltas. A peak abundance of phytoplankton was observed in GBM delta during the months of August-November, when ~80% of total hilsa are harvested in Bangladesh annually. Variations in seasonal productivity linked with nutrients and phytoplankton abundance are important factors for predicting hilsa habitat and their migration patterns in the deltaic regions and shelf waters of BoB. These results can be useful in forecasting potential responses of the hilsa in BoB ecosystem to changing global ocean productivity. Two fundamental properties of perception are selective attention and perceptual contrast, but how these two processes interact remains unknown. Does an attended stimulus history exert a larger contrastive influence on the perception of a following target than unattended stimuli? Dutch listeners categorized target sounds with a reduced prefix "ge-" marking tense (e.g., ambiguous between gegaan-gaan "gone-go"). In 'single talker' Experiments 1-2, participants perceived the reduced syllable (reporting gegaan) when the target was heard after a fast sentence, but not after a slow sentence (reporting gaan). In 'selective attention' Experiments 3-5, participants listened to two simultaneous sentences from two different talkers, followed by the same target sounds, with instructions to attend only one of the two talkers. Critically, the speech rates of attended and unattended talkers were found to equally influence target perception - even when participants could watch the attended talker speak. In fact, participants' target perception in 'selective attention' Experiments 3-5 did not differ from participants who were explicitly instructed to divide their attention equally across the two talkers (Experiment 6).
