Additionally, overcontrol was associated with reduced neural response to errors versus correct responses in the bilateral dorsal anterior cingulate cortex (dACC) and insula, even when controlling for anxiety symptoms. Overcontrol may serve as an underlying mechanism associated with clinical pediatric anxiety that demonstrates significant associations with aberrant neural error responding. Overcontrol may be an underlying mechanism contributing to pediatric anxiety that could be targeted for early intervention. BACKGROUND A complex and bidirectional association has been assumed between feeding and eating disorders (FEDs) and alcohol consumption. Previous research has demonstrated that alcohol use among individuals with different forms of FEDs is more frequently motivated by two subtypes of internal drinking motives coping and enhancement motives. Namely, these individuals might use alcohol primarily to regulate internal states, such as to mitigate negative emotions or enhance positive emotions. OBJECTIVES The present study investigated the mediating role of internal drinking motives on the association between risk for FEDs and alcohol consumption over the effects of relevant covariates, such as depressive symptoms or body mass index (BMI). METHODS Hungarian data of the European School Survey Project on Alcohol and Other Drugs (ESPAD) from 2015 were used. The final sample included responses from 5457 adolescents (50% males; mean age 16.62 years). Validated self-report psychometric instruments assessed the level of alcohol use, depressive symptoms and risk for FEDs, and drinking motives. RESULTS Risk for FEDs presented a significant positive relationship with internal drinking motives and alcohol use. In the mediation analysis, a significant indirect effect was identified between risk for FEDs and alcohol use via internal drinking motives among females. CONCLUSIONS Results demonstrated that risk for FEDs was positively associated with internal drinking motives and alcohol use. An indirect effect of risk for FEDs on alcohol consumption via internal drinking motives was discriminated over the impact of depressive symptoms. However, the latter relationship was only found among females which may highlight the gender differences in the relationship between risk for FEDs and alcohol use. Recent research has identified some risk factors for phubbing behavior. However, scarce research has examined the potential influence of emotional support from social media on phubbing behavior, and little is known regarding the mediating mechanisms underlying this relationship. The present study examined the predictive role of emotional support from social media on phubbing behavior among college students and investigated whether fear of missing out and problematic social media use both mediated the relationship between emotional support from social media and phubbing behavior. A sample of 501 Chinese college students (aged 17-23, Mage = 19.6 years, SD = 1.24) completed questionnaires regarding emotional support from social media, fear of missing out, problematic social media use, and phubbing behavior. The results indicated that (a) emotional support from social media was positively associated with phubbing behavior; (b) both fear of missing out and problematic social media use mediated the relationship between emotional support from social media and phubbing behavior; and (c) fear of missing out and problematic social media use sequentially mediated the relationship between emotional support from social media and phubbing behavior. These findings have important implications for the prevention and intervention of phubbing behavior among college students. Low insight is reported as a risk factor for relapse among patients treated for alcohol use disorders. However, to date, little is known on why patients with low insight are at higher risk for relapse. In this study, we tested the hypothesis that an implicit preference for alcohol over abstinence predicts relapse in patients with low, but not high, alcohol insight. Angiogenesis inhibitor Participants consisted of 77 patients who had received treatment for severe alcohol use disorder in a hospital in France. During hospitalization, they completed a self-report measure of insight and an implicit association test to assess implicit preference for alcohol over abstinence. The primary outcome was relapse assessed one month after discharge. Control variables were gender, age, cognitive deficit, anxiety, depression, craving, and impulsivity. Data were analysed using logistic regression analysis. After adjusting for demographic and clinical variables, relapse was predicted by the interaction between insight and implicit preference for alcohol but not by their main effects alone. Implicit preference for alcohol predicted relapse among patients with relatively low insight, but not among those with relatively high insight. These findings suggest that patients with low insight and strong implicit preference for alcohol are at a higher risk of relapse. Clinicians may therefore focus on and tailor specific interventions to prevent relapse in this vulnerable and at-risk population. The mechanism of demyelinating diseases is controversial, while demyelination and remyeliantion disorder is the acknowledged etiology and therapeutic target. Untill now, there is no efficient therapy for these diseases. CZ-7, a new derivative of Claulansine F, which has been reported before, were investigated its pro-remyelination effect and its associated mechanism in cuprizone (CPZ)-induced demyelination model. In this study, male C57BL/6 mice were subjected to CPZ (300 mg/kg) through intragastric gavage and were orally administered CZ-7 (20 mg/kg) meanwhile. The results of weight monitoring and behavioral testing showed that CZ-7 can significantly improve behavior dysfunction in the demyelinating mice. Luxol-fast blue (LFB) staining, myelin basic protein (MBP) immunostaining, transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and QPCR results indicated the therapeutic effect of CZ-7 on CPZ mice model. Furthermore, degraded myelin basic protein (dMBP) immunofluorescent staining and oil red O staining showed that CZ-7 contributed to the clearance of degraded myelin debris.
