982; 95% CI 0.966, 0.998). Conclusions Emotion-based constructs may be more influential on dual use behaviors than discrete relationship factors.Numerous studies have demonstrated that PSA campaigns can be effective in increasing awareness/knowledge, attitudes, intentions to change behaviors, and ultimately behaviors; and the majority of suicide prevention PSAs encourage help-seeking behavior by the person at-risk and/or by those worried about a person who might be at risk of suicide. However, to date, only a handful of studies have evaluated the impact of suicide prevention [PSA] campaigns and no suicide prevention PSA campaign has examined whether behavior change occurs in response to short-term implementation of a suicide prevention PSA. The primary goal of this study is to determine whether exposure to short-term (1 month) suicide prevention PSA campaign results in a help-seeking behavior. Results offer initial, limited evidence that public awareness campaigns are effective at getting an audience to engage in a help-seeking behavior, however due to methodological limitations, the superiority of a PSA vs. a printed flyer was not able to be determined.Hepatocellular carcinoma is the fourth leading cause of cancer-related death worldwide, with limited treatment options for patients with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma. Beyond standard systemic therapy with multikinase inhibitors, recent studies demonstrate the potential for a robust and durable response with immune checkpoint inhibition in subsets of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma. We present a case of an 83-year-old male patient with the diagnosis of a multifocal hepatocellular carcinoma. A hepatoduodenal fistula developed under treatment with sorafenib which necessitated treatment interruption. Therefore, a switch to second line therapy with immunotherapy nivolumab was made and supportive enteral nutrition was started. This led to a spectacular oncological response, with complete resolution of the hepatoduodenal fistula. To our knowledge this is the first case which describes the involution of a fistula in a hepatocellular carcinoma under treatment with nivolumab. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of an intratesticular injection of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) on reproductive parameters and health of rats, and to evaluate the AgNPs biodistribution in order to develop a nanotechnological contraceptive agent for male animals. Treated animals received 220 μL of AgNPs solution (0.46 µg-Ag/ml) in each testicle and were euthanized seven, 14, 28, and 56 days after injection. A significant decrease (p less then 0.05) in the percentage of motile sperm in D7 (8.8%) was observed, comparing to the control (73.3%), D14 (86.0%), D28 (68.2%), and D56 (90.0%) groups. D7 group also presented a decrease (p less then 0.05) in the percentage of normal spermatozoa. Additionally, D7 group showed an increase (p less then 0.05) in abnormal midpiece and sperm head morphology compared to the Control group. Seminiferous tubules presented all germline cell types and spermatozoa for all groups. However, D7 group did not present spermatozoa in the epididymis, whereas some spermatozoa and cellular debris were visible in D14 and D28 groups. All animals presented hematological parameters, creatinine, and alanine aminotransferase values within the normal limits for Wistar rats. The percentage of silver found in the liver was always higher than in the other organs analyzed. A pioneering mathematical model is proposed, from which the half-life time of silver in the liver (17 days), spleen (23 days), lungs (30 days), and kidneys (35 days) was extracted. In conclusion, some acute and severe toxic effects were observed in sperm cells following intratesticular injection of AgNPs, although these effects were reversible. No adverse effects to general animal health were observed.Biohydrogen produced from agricultural waste through dark co-fermentation is an increasingly valuable source of renewable energy. Rice straw (RS) and pig manure (PM) are widely available waste products in Asia with complementary levels of carbon and nitrogen that together have a high biohydrogen production potential. However, no research has yet determined the ideal inoculum pretreatment method and mixing ratio for biohydrogen production using these resources. In this study, we tested biohydrogen production using three different inoculum pretreatment methods (acid, alkali and thermal) at five RS/PM ratios (10, 51, 31, 11 and 01, based on total solids). All three pretreatments promoted biohydrogen production with the increase of bioactivity of biohydrogen-producing organisms (compared with a control group), though acid was clearly superior to thermal or alkali. Using acid pretreatment and RS/PM ratio of 51 corresponded with a relatively low [Formula see text]-N concentration (655.17 mg/L), a maximal cumulative biohydrogen production of 44.59 mL/g VSadded with a low methane production ( less then 0.1%), a large butyric acid accumulation (1035.30 mg/L) and a biohydrogen conversion rate of 2.12%. The optimal pH for biohydrogen production from co-fermentation of RS and PM ranged from 5.0-5.5.Background Metastatic Crohn's disease (CD) is a rare manifestation of CD. It involves inflammatory skin lesions with histopathological findings (granulomas) similar to CD, without connection to the gastrointestinal tract. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBO) has been suggested as a possible treatment option. Objective This study aimed to identify and treat a consecutive series of patients with biopsy-proven metastatic CD and monitor wound healing using prospectively acquired outcomes. see more Methods Pathology results of all patients with ongoing perineal wound-healing problems after proctectomy between 2005 and 2018 at the Amsterdam University Medical Centre were assessed for metastatic CD. Patients with a biopsy-proven diagnosis of perineal metastatic CD were offered HBO (40 daily sessions of 100% oxygen at 2.4 atmosphere absolute). Wound healing was monitored using photographs and standardised questionnaires (the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Questionnaire, EuroQol Visual Analogue Scale and the Female Sexual Function Index) at baseline and 1 and 3 months after HBO.
