The common timing of accident was normal hours with frequency of 44 (37.3%), followed by 39 (33.1%) at late night. According to fracture type, closed injuries were 98 (83.1%) and open fractures were 20 (16.9%). The most common fracture was clavicular fracture (21, 22.5%) followed by soft tissue injury in 19 (16.1%) patients. The most common social media application usage during driving was Facebook 43 (36.4%), followed by Whatsapp 24 (20.3%), Google 19 (16.1%), and Instagram 15 (12.7%). CONCLUSION This study provides evidence that social media usage while driving put the drivers and other road users' lives at high risk. The most common social media addiction while driving is Facebook and Whatsapp. So there is a need to make strict rules and penalties for using cell phone during driving so as to save the lives of drivers and other people using road. PURPOSE To evaluate the applicability of anterior segment optical coherence tomography (AS-OCT) for objective diagnosis of punctal stenosis. METHODS We report the use of AS-OCT in 3 cases of epiphora related to punctal stenosis. We followed the methodology described in previous studies. The examination was performed by a single technician using a single Spectralis OCT with the AS-OCT module. Three patients with complaints of epiphora (mean age=80 years) were examined. The external punctal diameter was measured on both infrared (IR) and OCT images. The internal diameter was measured on OCT images at a depth of 500μm. The diagnosis was confirmed by clinical examination. RESULTS The external punctal diameters were 159μm in the right eye (Cases 1 and 2) and 195μm in the left eye (case 2; mean 171μm). All measurements were lower than cadaveric measurements (200-500μm), as well as previously described average diameters, thus confirming the diagnosis of punctal stenosis. The AS-OCT diameter correlated moderately wit a rapid, non-invasive method in diagnosing punctal stenosis. ABT-869 Further studies are necessary to assess the use of AS-OCT in punctal stenosis. The aims of this study were to find out whether scoring in a rose-trellis pattern improved the stretch of mucoperiosteal flaps more than conventional scoring in the horizontal plane, and to consider its application in the closure of oroantral communications. Sixteen sections of cadaveric porcine buccal mucoperiosteum were removed from the molar region of the maxilla and mandible. A three-sided flap was raised in the subperiosteal plane, excised, and pinned to a cork board with the periosteal side facing upwards. Eight samples were scored in the horizontal plane (control) using lines perpendicular to the line of simulated advancement, and eight in a rose-trellis or criss-cross pattern. Scoring using a rose-trellis pattern yielded a mean increase in stretch of 24.3% (p=0.0003) when compared with the conventional method. Buccal advancement flaps are widely used to close oroantral communications, and scoring of the mucoperiosteum facilitates the stretching of the tissue over the defect. To be successful, defects should be fully closed to prevent contamination, and closure should be tension-free. In this study, scoring in a rose-trellis pattern increased the stretch of the tissue sample more than scoring in the horizontal plane. The rose-trellis technique therefore could aid the effective closure of oroantral communications. The choice of surgical or non-surgical treatment of mandibular condylar fractures remains controversial. Earlier trials documented multiple complications of surgical treatment and recommended a non-surgical approach, while more recent trials have shown superior outcomes of surgical compared with non-surgical treatment in some cases. In this paper we systematically review the systematic reviews on the topic that were published before January 2019 and which followed the PRISMA statement, and propose an algorithm for the management of these fractures. Two systematic reviews met the inclusion criteria of the current review, both of which showed better outcome from surgical than non-surgical treatment. We propose an algorithm based on the feasibility of fixation, ability to restore joint and occlusal function, and ensure adequate healing, and consider patient-associated factors that facilitate decision-making. Within the field of developmental cognitive neuroscience, there is an increasing interest in studying individual differences in human brain development in order to predict mental health outcomes. So far, however, most longitudinal neuroimaging studies focus on group-level estimates. In this review, we highlight longitudinal neuroimaging studies that have moved beyond group-level estimates to illustrate the heterogeneity in patterns of brain development. We provide practical methodological recommendations on how longitudinal neuroimaging datasets can be used to understand heterogeneity in human brain development. Finally, we address how taking an individual-differences approach in developmental neuroimaging studies could advance our understanding of why some individuals develop mental health disorders. Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a chronic autoimmune disease characterized by multiple system involvement and positive serum autoantibodies. Lupus nephritis (LN) is the most common and serious complication of SLE, and it is the main cause of death in patients with SLE. Abnormalities in the immune system lead to LN and involve a variety of cells (T cells, B cells, macrophages, NK cells, etc.), cytokines (interleukin, tumor necrosis factor α, etc.) and their related pathways. Previous studies have shown that the interactions of genetic, epigenetic and environmental factors contribute to the pathogenesis and development of LN. In recent years, one genome-wide association study (GWAS) and a number of gene association studies have explored the susceptibility genes of LN, including immunization-, inflammation-, adhesion- and other pathway-related genes. These genes participate in or suggest the pathogenesis and progression of LN. In this review, we summarize the genetic susceptibility of LN and discuss the possible mechanism underlying the susceptibility genes of LN.
