MethodThe transplantation model of hypopharyngeal cancer in 5-week-old male BALB/c nude mice were established by subcutaneous injection. The obtained transplanted tumor specimens were pathologically diagnosed to determine the extent of tumor tissue. Tumor tissue, normal tissue and paracellular tissue of transplantation tumor were scanned by terahertz time-domain spectroscopy. The differential spectral data were obtained through the detection of frozen tissue sections and paraffin tissue sections, respectively. The results were compared by t-test. ResultThe tarahertz absorption coefficient of tumor tissues was higher than that of normal tissues, and the difference was statistically significant when the detection frequency was greater than 0.48 THz in frozen sections(P less then 0.05). In the paraffin sections, the difference was statistically significant within the effective spectrum range of 0.2-1.6 THz(P less then 0.01). The difference of refractive index between tumor tissue and normal tissue was significant in specimens treated in two ways(P less then 0.01). The absorption coefficient of adjacent tissue felt between that of normal tissue and tumor tissue. ConclusionTerahertz technology can distinguish tumor tissues and normal tissues accurately, and can detect the spectral changes in adjacent tissues sensitively. Therefore, terahertz technology may become another tool for the judgment of pathologic margin.ObjectiveTo compare the effect of impulse-radio ultrawideband(IR-UWB) radar technology and polysomnography(PSG) in sleep assessment. MethodA total of 79 OSA patients were randomly divided into two groups 40 patients in group A received PSG and IR-UWB, and 39 patients in group B received micromovement sensitive mattress(MSM) and IR-UWB. Pearson correlation and ROC curve were used for statistics. ResultAHI PSG and AHI MSM were significantly correlated with AHI IR-UWB(r=0.91, P=0.00; r=0.92, P=0.00). Bland-Altman analysis showed that AHI IR-UWB value was highly consistent with AHI PSG value(95.00%), and AHI IR-UWB value(97.44%). The sensitivity and specificity of AHI IR-UWB compared with PSG were 70.40% and 89.90%, respectively. The area under ROC curve was 0.915. ConclusionIR-UWB has a high diagnostic value for adult OSA in terms of minimum blood oxygen saturation, average blood oxygen saturation, average number of central sleep apnea, average number of complex sleep apnea, average heart rate, sleep efficiency, REM sleep duration, average AHI, etc. It is an economic and practical sleep evaluation tool.ObjectiveTo evaluate the value of high-resolution ultrasonography in the diagnosis of parotid space occupying lesions. MethodUltrasonographic findings of 102 patients with pathologically proved parotid lesions were retrospectively analyzed. The size, margin, shape, internal echoes distribution, presence of anechoic areas, blood flow signal and accompanying signs of the lesions were observed. ResultOf 102 cases, there were 91 benign lesions, the conform rate was 83.5%; there were 11 malignant lesions, the conform rate was 72.7%. Between benign and malignant lesions, the differences of margin, shape and the detection rate of blood flow signal were statistically significant(P less then 0.05). Among the benign lesions, pleomorphic adenoma and adenolymphoma were the most common. The shape, internal echoes distribution and presence of anechoic areas were significantly different between these two diseases(P less then 0.05). Of other rare benign tumors, 85.7% cases could be correctly diagnosed as benign before surgery, but the correct diagnosis rate for pathological types of lesions was low. ConclusionParotid lesions with unique ultrasonographic characteristics which are helpful in differentiating the benign neoplasms from the malignant ones, as pleomorphic adenoma from adenolymphoma. However, it is difficult to identify the qualitative diagnosis of low-grade malignant parotid neoplasms and the pathological classification of rare parotid lesions with ultrasonography, and further biopsy or surgical resection is needed to confirm the diagnosis.ObjectiveTo investigate the application of free fibular flap based on digital technology in mandibular defects. MethodEight cases of mandibular defects underwent virtual surgery and guide plate design before operation. check details The mandibular osteotomy guide plate, fibula plastic guide plate and mandibular reconstruction model were prepared by rapid prototyping technology. The individualized reconstruction titanium plates were prefabricated on the mandibular reconstruction model. MethodForty-three male-adult patients in the group were wearing both Ag/AgCl wet electrode and new dry electrode for sleep monitoring. ConclusionThe dry electrode EEG acquisition accuracy is good, especially for the WK, which is beneficial to improve the accuracy of the portable sleep monitoring equipment for the diagnosis of OSA disease.
