Recently, Vigil showed significant clinical benefit with improvement in relapse free (RFS) and overall survival (OS) in pre-planned subgroup analysis in stage III/IV newly diagnosed ovarian cancer patients with BRCA wild type (BRCA-wt) molecular profile. Here we analyze homologous recombination (HR) status of patients enrolled in the Phase 2b VITAL study and determine clinical benefit of Vigil in HR proficient (P) patients.

Patients were previously enrolled in a Phase 2b, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial. All were in complete response with Stage III/IV high grade serious, endometroid or clear cell ovarian cancer. HR status was determined using MyChoice®CDx score (<42=HRP) (Myriad Genetics, Inc., UT). Post-hoc analyses were carried out using Kaplan Meier and restricted mean survival time (RMST) analysis to evaluate RFS and OS based on HR deficiency (D) status.

RFS was improved with Vigil (n=25) in HRP patients compared to placebo (n=20) (HR=0.386; 90% CI 0.199-0.750; p=0.007), results were verified by RMST (p=0.017). Similarly, OS benefit was observed in Vigil group compared to placebo (HR=0.342; 90% CI 0.141-0.832; p=0.019). Results with OS were also verified with RMST (p=0.008).

Vigil exhibited clinical benefit in HRP molecular profile patients.Cervicofacial infection (CFI) is a common presentation to the Oral and Maxillofacial (OMFS) department and accounts for significant emergency activity. The current study aims to understand the aetiology, management, and clinical features of patients hospitalised with CFI. Our study included all patients admitted for management of CFI from May to October 2017 at 25 OMFS units across 17 UK regions. Data were collected prospectively and included age, comorbidities, prior treatment received, markers of sepsis, and presenting clinical features. One thousand and two (1002) admissions were recorded; 546 (54.5%) were male. Median (range) age was 34 (1-94) years. The most common presenting complaints were trismus (46%) and dysphagia (27%). Airway compromise was present in 1.7% of cases. Odontogenic infection accounted for 822/1002 (82%) admissions. Of those with an infection of odontogenic origin, 453/822 (55.1%) had received previous treatment. Two-thirds of those who had received treatment were managed by antibiotics alone (300/453, 66.2%). Patients met criteria for sepsis in 437/1002 (43.6%) of CFI, and in 374/822 (45.5%) of odontogenic infections. This is the largest study worldwide of patients requiring inpatient management for CFI. Infection due to odontogenic origin is the most frequent reason for admission and nearly half do not seek treatment before presentation. Patients with CFI often present late in their disease and frequently meet criteria for sepsis, requiring timely and aggressive treatment to ensure optimum outcomes. Telemedicine has been developing in France since 2018. The objective of this survey was to assess the knowledge, attitudes, practices and training of internal physicians regarding telemedicine.

A national descriptive observational study carried out between July and October 2019, via an online self-questionnaire with members of the National Society of Internal Medicine and the Association of Young Internists, included a descriptive and comparative analysis by subgroups of age.

Analysis of 309 responses from physicians qualified in internal medicine or practicing in an internal medicine service (61,8%) and residents in internal medicine (38%) showed that 34.6% had notions or a good knowledge of regulation of telemedicine. For 62,1%, 72.5% and 74.1% respectively, it could improve patient care, access to care and exchanges between internists and other doctors. The main obstacles to this practice were the absence of face-to-face with the patient (57.3%) and computer dysfunctions (55%). Only 23.3% practiced it, including 88.9% tele-expertise. Telemedicine was performed informally (telephone and email) in 70.8% of the cases. Doctors over the age of 50 were better acquainted with the regulations and more practiced official telemedicine. In total, 54% wanted to practice telemedicine and 72.8% wanted to train there.

Aβ and amyloid-beta precursor protein (APP)levels were measured by immunoblotting. Furthermore, Aβ expression was analyzed by immunofluorescence and histochemical examinations.
