Best Robot Vacuum Cleaner and Mop
If you're looking to clean up mess fast and efficiently, a robot vacuum and mop is the way to go. The top robot vacuums and mops I've tested are top-quality in navigation and mapping and are able to pick up Cheerios as well as tangled wires, and fake dog turds without leaving them behind.
They're also user-friendly using an application that lets you plan cleaning tasks and track what they're up to.
1. Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra
If you're looking for the top robot vacuum and mop with cutting-edge features you should take a look at the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. This premium vacuum is quick and agile and picked up pet hair and human dander almost flawlessly in our Debris Pickup Test. It also has a smart-looking app interface with a mini map of your home and a few buttons on the screen to control the device manually.
Another notable characteristic of the S8 is its ability to change its cleaning mode according to dirt levels thanks to its Dirt Detection technology. It will wash its mopping pads more frequently when it encounters dust. Carpeted areas get priority for mopping using a damp mopping pad.
It's got a host of other features that are smart too, including an alternative dock that connects to the plumbing in your home to clean and wash the mop roller without needing you to manually refill it. With the built-in voice assistant on the S8 it is possible to use voice commands to control room cleaning modes and granular control using only your voice.
2. Yeedi Cube
If you're looking for a hands-free robot vacuum with mopping capabilities the Yeedi Cube is one of the more versatile choices. It's one of the combo robot vacuums with mops that are also priced lower than competitors.
Like many robovacs Yeedi Cube requires a little bit of work in order to get started, including setting up an account with the manufacturer's app and connecting it to your WiFi network. Once that's done, though, the robot can start mopping and vacuuming with ease.
It's important to note that the mapping process takes a while, and it may take a few times before the Yeedi Cube has an accurate image of your space. The object detection feature is an issue that is hit-and-miss. It was able skirt around furniture and other obstacles, however, it got stuck on a rug with tassels and required a flip to free itself. However, these aren't major issues and the Yeedi Cube is still a excellent choice for those looking for an all-in-one cleaning companion.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
The Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete delivers a three-in-one home cleaning solution. Its advanced mopping features a rotating motion similar to hand scrubbing which results in floors that are actually cleaned and not just being swept. Its detachable stick-vacuum is a game-changer that allows you to reach spots even robot vacuums can't.
The model is basically the same as the popular X2 Omni, but with an increased suction power of 8700Pa and some additional clever features. The upgraded RGBD sensor is able to learn your home's surroundings better and provide dynamic obstacle avoidance. The smart app allows you to modify a range of settings including AI cleaning and virtual boundaries.
The X2 Combo is also self-prepping and has both the robot vacuum and the mop returning to their charging base after each task to clean their pads, empty their dust bins and then place the debris in bags that self-seal. This keeps the system clean, and stops allergens from circulating. And its battery life is long enough to cover large areas without the need for a recharge during cleaning.
4. Eufy S1 Pro
The Eufy S1 Pro is a top-quality robot vacuum and mop that offers impressive features at affordable prices. It has a strong 8,000 Pa suction power as well as a rotating brush for carpets and hard floors and an excellent obstacle avoidance. It also features a unique mopping method, that uses a roller that is continuously dosed with water to pick dirt and place it in the water that is dirty tank.
Its navigation technology performed well and was able to navigate close to walls without crashing and avoiding stairs. It struggled with small particles and did not always clear the thresholds in rooms. remote hoover operating level of the sound is also high, so this model may not be as easy to set and forget as the other models.
As with most robotic vacuums and mop cleaners, the S1 Pro comes with a docking station that lets you replenish its clean water, empty its dustbin and mop pad, as well as wash and dry its mop. This makes maintenance easy and allows the S1 Pro to spend more time cleaning floors in a routine schedule. You can control all its functions using the Eufy app. It provides a clear overview and plenty of configurability.
5. Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is one of the top robot mowers and vacuums available, and offers an impressive mix of mopping and vacuuming performance. The LIDAR sensors for mapping can identify furniture legs, obstacles and other obstacles with a reasonable precision. The app allows users to fine-tune the coverage of the map, establish no-go zones and alter the cleaning preferences. The main roller brush of the Freo is also designed to prevent hair from wrapping around it, which is a big pain point with many robotic vacuums.
The Mop Mode also impresses, with Reuleaux triangular mop heads that spin at 180 RPM, while applying upward pressure of up to 12N. The mopping system also incorporates intelligent carpet detection, which lifts the pads up when they're in proximity to soft surfaces to prevent contamination of them.
The docking station acts as an automated maintenance center that is able to wash and dry the mops and refills them with detergent and distilled water. The base station has an integrated dust processing system that compacts dust, which allows seven weeks of uninterrupted maintenance.
6. S10
A few hundred dollars cheaper than the S8 This robot is a slick job of keeping my office clean and can also take on the corners of my tiny apartment. It uses a laser mapping and camera to create a 3D model of your home, so it knows what to stay clear of. It also has a detector for objects and obstructions that will stay clear of things like dog bowls and toys (but not poop), unlike many vacuums.
It also comes with other standout features, including the self-emptying dustbin and a mop pad that's self-washing and able to adjust the temperature of water and a side-reaching sweeper brush that can get to places that other mops don't. You can also alter the settings for each room and set up cleaning schedules.
It has the same multi-room smart mapping feature as the S8 and can differentiate between laminate and carpets with high-pile rugs. If you're looking to cut down on time, it can even skip mopping in rooms that aren't dirty. It's an excellent option for those who have a variety of flooring in your home but aren't looking to spend the money to buy the Roborock with advanced mapping features.
7. Q5 Pro
This robot is a great choice when you're looking for a robot that can handle regular daily maintenance and touch-ups to messy water stains. It comes with a variety of features, including a self-emptying dustbin and an additional water refill dock, as well as customizable settings in the app. It's quite quiet, and it can maneuver between furniture legs and socks with ease. However, it isn't able to take care of knotted rug tassels and it's battery drains a little more quickly than other models we tested in our tests.
With a cost of less than $250 it's the Q5 Pro is a bargain-friendly machine that packs a lot of suction and a handy automation into a slick design. It didn't perform as well in our mopping and mopping tests as the much expensive Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra however it did very well overall. It also includes a wide range of cleaning modes to meet your needs, from the low-power 'Quiet' mode for light debris to the more powerful 'Turbo' mode for rooms with carpet. It even has the ability to automate the removal and reattachment of mop pads without causing your carpets soaked.
8. K10 Plus
The K10 Plus is an excellent robot mop and vacuum cleaner that can be used even in small spaces. It's silent and fast, and it can navigate tight spaces efficiently. It also does a very good job of removing pet hair out of carpeting.
It's smaller than many of its competitors however, it doesn't compromise any features. It has a decent suction capacity and can be set to take pictures of every object it picks (i.e. chew toys, socks) and mark them in the app as "not located' so that they will not be picked up again during future cleanings. Its photos are encrypted, and aren't tied to your account.
It is capable of vaccuming, however it isn't as effective at mopping. It uses disposable wipes that clip onto the bot's bottom, and then drags them across the floor. Compare this to the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra or Narwhal which have water reservoirs and will automatically wash and attach their mopheads.
