to analyze the characteristics, related factors, and consequences of physical violence and verbal abuse against nurses working with risk stratification.

a cross-sectional, descriptive and quantitative study carried out with 80 nurses who work with risk stratification in emergency services. Data were collected using an adapted instrument and analyzed using (uni)bivariate inferential statistics.

companions were the main perpetrators of verbal abuse (86.1%); and patients inflicted physical violence (100%). Professionals with up to five years of experience are 74% less likely to suffer physical violence (p=0.029). INS018-055 in vivo Women suffer 5.83 times more verbal abuse than men (p=0.026). Sadness (15.8%) and fear of the aggressor (15.3%) were the main consequences of verbal abuse; and fear of the aggressor (22.2%) and stress (22.2%) were results of physical violence.

violence is influenced by institutional, professional and client aspects. Therefore, coping with it requires multidimensional strategies.

to investigate evidence that indicates the contribution of realistic high, medium or low fidelity simulation to acquire knowledge, skills and attitudes in safe medication administration by nursing students.

an integrative review of experimental studies from MEDLINE, LILACS, Web of Science, Scopus and Science Direct. The descriptors "nursing students", "simulation", "high fidelity simulation training", "medication errors" and "pharmacology" were used to identify 14 studies that answered the research question, and were assessed for accuracy methodological level and level of evidence.

there was a sample of quasi-experimental studies, (level 3 of evidence; 78.6%) and randomized clinical trials (level 2 of evidence; 21.4%), whose expressive majority showed superiority of the simulation strategy over the traditional methodology (71.4%).

using low and high fidelity simulators, standardized patients and virtual simulation can promote acquisition of essential skills for patient safety.

to analyze the scientific production on the results of Lean Six Sigma methodology in health care institutions.

an integrative literature review, with the following question what are the results in health institutions using Lean Six Sigma and Six Sigma methodology? The search was carried out at MEDLINE, LILACS, BDENF, CINAHL, Web of Science, and Scopus, with no time frame.

thirty-four articles were included, published between 2005 and 2019, of which 52.9% came from the United States of America. The most commonly found improvements were in hospital institutions and from the perspective of customers and internal processes.

using Lean Six Sigma methodology proved to be effective in the different health care settings, evidencing a gap in its application regarding people engagement and training.

To validate the content of the indicators of the nursing outcome Dry eye severity, of the Nursing Outcomes Classification, in adult patients admitted to the intensive care unit.

Methodological study of content validity, developed in two stages the first, consisting of 23 specialists; and the second, of a consensus group formed by ten nurses. For analyzing the data in the first stage, we used the content validity index and binomial test for each indicator; in the second stage, the discussions of each meeting were transcripted, and the indicators that achieved 100% consensus were validated.

Of the 14 indicators evaluated by the specialists, 7 presented a cut-off point below 0.80, but did not show statistical significance in the binomial test. In the consensus group's validation, six indicators were reformulated.

This study considered the 14 indicators valid for evaluating patients admitted to the intensive care unit.

To evaluate factors associated with health dissatisfaction of public elementary school teachers.

Cross-sectional study conducted among teachers from a Midwest capital, in 2017. A self-administered questionnaire composed of a collection of validated instruments and additional questions was used. Poisson Regression was performed, considering significance p <0.05.

sample composed of 326 teachers, with an average age of 43 years, 87.1% female. Concerning health conditions, 19.5% were dissatisfied and 31.5% were indifferent. In a simultaneous analysis of the factors of interest, a statistically significant association was found among teacher's health dissatisfaction and the presence of symptoms of common mental disorders (PRa= 2.28), musculoskeletal symptoms in the last 12 months (PRa= 1.71), voice disorders (PRa= 1.29), never/rarely waking up rested (PRa= 1.45), never/rarely engage in physical activity/sports (PRa= 1.57), among other factors.

never/rarely waking up rested and engaging in physical activity/sports, the presence of common mental disorders, musculoskeletal symptoms and voice disorders were associated with health dissatisfaction.

Evidence the scientific production on the analysis of disallowances through the audit of accounts made by nurses.

Integrative literature review whose sample of ten articles was selected on the basis of The Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature, Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences, EMBASE, Scielo, Web of science, Virtual Health Library and on the portal PubMed.

The ten articles obtained were published in Brazil, 80% covering hospital contexts; with a quantitative (50%), exploratory (40%) and descriptive (60%) approach. Studies investigating the occurrence of disallowance prevailed to identify the most impacting items on billing and possibilities for improvements in the process of auditing accounts by nurses.

The verticalized knowledge of the disallowance analysis process is essential to identify non-conformities and propose improvements, aiming at assistance quality, adequate billing and consequent financial sustainability to health organizations.
