stratification and pathobiology.

Plasma prolargin levels differentiate PAH patients from controls and the other investigated dyspnoea groups including HF. Its potential in PAH differentiation may be enhanced by inclusion in a multi-marker panel. Larger studies are needed to evaluate its discriminative ability of PAH in relation to other dyspnoea aetiologies and its potential role in PAH risk stratification and pathobiology.

Family nursing is an essential component of nursing practice. The number of articles that researchers must be familiar with is increasing, along with the importance of selective searching and summarization. This study aims to explore the development trend and research spotlight through the analysis of literature related to family nursing from 1986 to 2018.

Science Citation Index literatures about family nursing in Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) were searched by subject terms. The function of database document statistics and analysis, cite space visualization software and Excel were used to measure and analyze the included documents and draw the visualization atlas. Each article was evaluated for the following characteristics authors, institution, country, keyword, reference, cited-author, cited-journal, grant.

A total of 1,224 literatures from 68 countries and regions as well as 1,749 research institutions, 331 journals, 833 funded institutions and 4,007 first authors and collaborators were inclciplinary cross-fusion. The research field of family nursing needs to be further explored and refined in future practice.

Family nursing started late, and its exploration was limited. Although family nursing was growing in certain countries, the fields involved in the research are still relatively narrow and lack interdisciplinary cross-fusion. The research field of family nursing needs to be further explored and refined in future practice.Paeonia cultivars are famous ornamental plants, and some of them are also traditional Chinese medicinal resources. Intersubgeneric hybrids of Paeonia (IHPs) are formed by the hybridization of herbaceous peony (Paeonia lactiflora) and tree peony (Paeonia×suffruticosa or lutea hybrid tree peony). The phenotypic characteristics of IHPs are similar to those of herbaceous peony, and their root systems are large and vigorous. However, their medicinal value has not been reported yet. In this study, the roots of eight IHP samples were analyzed by high performance liquid chromatography quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry (HPLC-Q-TOF-MS/MS). A total of 18 compounds were identified, including phenols, paeonols, monoterpene glycosides, and tannins. The contents of monoterpene glycosides and tannins in IHPs were higher than herbaceous peony and tree peony, exceeding 44.76 mg/g DW and 11.50 mg/g DW, respectively. Three IHPs, 'Prairie Charm', 'Garden Treasure', and 'Yellow Emperor', with more types and a higher content of medicinal compounds, were screened out by cluster analysis. These IHPs have considerable potential for the development of medicinal resources.Ludwigia grandiflora is an amphibious plant that has been designated as a specific alien plant in Japan. Due to the risk of regeneration on land, plants are burned after eradication. Since L. grandiflora is fertile and rich in biomass, this study investigated the use of L. grandiflora as a feed for ruminants. We measured general components, detergent fiber components, and in vitro dry matter digestibility (IVDMD) using rumen microbes for three forms (terrestrial form, emergent form, and floating-leaved form) of L. grandiflora. In addition, concentrations of hazardous metallic elements were also measured from the viewpoint of feed safety. Crude protein, neutral detergent fiber, acid detergent fiber, and acid detergent lignin were contained 10.31-14.62, 27.83-42.28, 20.54-36.05, and 6.94-18.90 (%DM), respectively. IVDMD was 50.75%-68.24%. Toxic elements such as Pb, Cd, and Hg were not detected in all forms. These results suggest that L. grandiflora could be partially used as alternative roughage for ruminants.Acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) is associated with diffuse inflammation, alveolar epithelial damage, and leakage of plasma proteins into the alveolar space, which together contribute to inactivation of pulmonary surfactant and respiratory failure. Exogenous surfactant delivery is therefore considered to hold potential for ARDS treatment, but clinical trials with natural derived surfactant or synthetic surfactant containing a surfactant protein C (SP-C) analogue have been negative. Synthetic surfactant CHF5633, containing analogues of SP-B and SP-C, may be effective against ARDS. read more The aim here was to compare treatment effects of CHF5633 and animal-derived surfactant poractant alfa in animal model of ARDS. ARDS was induced in adult New Zealand rabbits by mild lung lavages followed by injurious ventilation until respiratory failure (P/F ratio less then 26.7 kPa). The animals were then treated with intratracheal bolus of 200 mg/kg CHF5633 or poractant alfa (Curosurf® ), or air as control. The animals were subsequently ventilated for an additional 4 hr and respiratory parameters were recorded regularly. Postmortem, histological analysis, degree of lung edema, and levels of the cytokines TNFα, IL-6, and IL-8 in lung homogenates were evaluated. Both surfactant preparations improved lung function, reduced the levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines, and degree of lung edema to very similar degrees versus the controls. No significant differences in any of the analyzed parameters were observed between the CHF5633- and poractant alfa-treated groups. This study indicates that single dose of CHF5633 improves lung function and attenuates inflammation as effectively as poractant alfa in experimental ARDS caused by injurious ventilation.

To assess the clinical outcomes of open calcaneal fractures with medial wounds treated with one-stage management, including early modern wound care, sequential reduction, and frame structure fixation using percutaneous Kirschner wires.

A total of 19 patients with open calcaneal fractures admitted to our hospital from May 2016 to March 2019 were selected in this study. Twelve type-II and seven type-IIIA medial open injuries were identified according to the classification of Gustilo and Anderson. Fractures were stratified by Sanders classification, including nine type-II fractures, seven type-III fractures, and three type-IV fractures. All patients accepted one-stage irrigation and debridement, sequential reduction of calcaneal fractures through the open medial wound, percutaneous Kirschner wire fixation, and primary closure of wounds covered with vacuum-assisted closure (VAC) device. The Bohler angle, the Gissane angle, and the width of the calcaneus were compared before and after surgery. The functional results were evaluated according to the Paley and Hall score system, visual analogue scale (VAS), American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS) ankle and hindfoot score, Maryland Foot Score, and related complications.
