Angio-CT has unique advantages which can be applied to TARE treatment of patients with HCC. The technology has potential to be an especially effective tool for those who aim to be at the cutting edge of the rapidly growing field of interventional oncology.Ovarian teratomas are the most common type of germ cell tumors. There are three major subtypes of ovarian teratomas including mature, immature, and monodermal teratomas. Ultrasound, computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging can demonstrate specific imaging findings for mature teratoma. Imaging features of immature and monodermal teratomas are less specific, but a combination of clinical features and imaging findings can help in the diagnosis. Imaging is also very helpful in guiding management. In this article, we review the epidemiology, histopathology, clinical presentation, imaging features and management of ovarian teratomas.

To identify incidence of abdominal findings in COVID-19 patients with and without abdominal symptoms on various imaging modalities including chest-only CT scans and to correlate them with clinical, laboratory and chest CT findings.

In this retrospective study, we searched our clinical database between March 1st, 2020 and May 22nd, 2020 to identify patients who had positive real-time reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) on throat swabs for COVID-19, had availability of clinical, laboratory information and had availability of CT scan of chest or abdominal radiograph, abdominal ultrasound or CT scan within 2weeks of the diagnosis. Abdominal imaging findings on all imaging modalities were documented. Chest CT severity score (CT-SS) was assessed in all patients. Clinical and laboratory findings were recorded from the electronic medical record. Statistical analysis was performed to determine correlation of abdominal findings with CT-SS, clinical and laboratory findings.

Out of 264 patients= 0.0402). No statistically significant correlation of occurrence of bowel abnormalities with CTSS, clinical or laboratory features. Deep venous thrombosis was seen in 7/72 patients (9.8%) with three patients developing pulmonary embolism CONCLUSION Abnormal bowel is the most common finding in the abdomen in patients with COVID-19 infection, is often without abdominal symptoms and occurs independent of severity of pulmonary involvement, other clinical and laboratory features.

Lung cancer is the leading cause of death by cancer. In recent years, immunotherapy with checkpoint inhibitors (ICI) emerged as a promising new therapeutic approach. However, a deeper understanding of the immunologic responses adjacent to the tumor known as tumor microenvironment (TME) is needed. Our study investigated TME of lung cancer by analyzing cytokines in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF).

Between January 2018 and June 2019, 119 patients were prospectively enrolled in this study. For each cancer patient, levels of 16 cytokines (fractalkine, granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF), interferon gamma (IFN-γ), tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α), and interleukins (IL) IL-1b, IL-2, IL-4, IL-5, IL-6, IL-7, IL-8, IL-10, IL-12p70, IL-13, IL-17A, and IL-23) were measured in BALF and serum and compared to healthy individuals and patients with other lung diseases.

There were several significant differences of cytokine levels of patients with lung cancer compared to healthy individuals. However, none of them remained in the multivariate analysis compared to other lung diseases in either BALF or serum. Furthermore, there were no significant differences between the groups in cell differentiation of either BALF or serum. Cytokine levels in BALF were generally near the lower detection limit and showed almost no correlation with their respective levels measured in serum of the same individual.

Cytokines in BALF and serum of lung cancer patients may indicate unspecific inflammation. Xevinapant cost BAL is not recommendable as a tool to investigate TME of lung cancer. Therefore, cytokines measured in BALF are probably not appropriate as predictors in patients treated with ICIs.

As the tumor grows beyond a certain size, a hypoxic-condition arises in the inner core of tumor, triggering the release of chemokines, which attract T-regulatory (Treg) cells in the tumor-site. The presence of FOXP3, a lineage-specific transcription factor, expressing Treg cells in various types of tumor implements immunosuppressive and tumor-promoting strategies. One such strategy is the invitation of endothelial cells for neo-vascularization in the tumor site. Here we report that as the disease progresses, Treg cells from breast cancer patients are capable of secreting high-amount of VEGFA. The VEGFA promoter lacks Treg-specific transcription factor FOXP3 binding site. FOXP3 in association with locus-specific transcription factor STAT3 binds to VEGFA promoter to induce its transcription in Treg cells obtained from breast cancer patients. Treg cell-secreted VEGFA induces neo-angiogenesis from endothelial cells under in-vitro conditions. Targeting Tregs in mice with breast tumor reduces tumor growth as well as the level of neo-angiogenesis in the tumor tissue. The posttraumatic ocular hypotony (3% after ocular contusion, 50-74% after open globe injury) can lead to severe secondary damage of the eyeball. In addition to corneal folds, ciliary body and choroidal detachment, papilledema e vacuo and macular folds, the shrinking of the eye can lead to substantial visual impairment. Subsequently, the contralateral eye may react with ocular hypertension. The cause of the hypotony must be identified and causally treated. A preservation of the globe is possible if more than 210 ° of the ciliary body are intact. One of the major causes of posttraumatic hypotony is cyclodialysis. Smaller cyclodialysis clefts respond to a cycloplegic treatment, larger clefts require a surgical approach. The direct cyclopexy can be combined with primary wound repair or pole to pole surgery. An alternative consists of silicone oil endotamponade or occlusion of Schlemm's canal. The posttraumatic ocular hypotony is complex and requires exact diagnostics to be able to differentially and specifically treat the causes of hypotony.
