Dynamic luminal reduction ≥50% was present in 77 (16.9%) of the study participants. Pearson's correlation analysis revealed that the length and degree of dynamic compression were significantly related with MB length and depth (Pearson's correlation r=0.241, 0.581, 0.316, and 0.209; P=0.014, <0.001, 0.002, and 0.032, respectively).

Patients with HOCM commonly present with ICA and it can be visualized well by coronary CT angiography. Deep or extensive MB is more likely to produce coronary artery dynamic compression. Preoperative identification of this congenital coronary artery variant may be helpful for surgical planning.

Since mammography belongs to the most important preventive techniques in modern medicine, this study maps the related worldwide research output, which encompasses quantitative and qualitative aspects of the scientific activity and socio-economic features.

The New Quality and Quantity Indices in Science (NewQIS) computing platform identified all mammography-specific articles in the Web of Science within two time periods, from 1900 to 2014 (P1) and from 2015 to 2020 (P2), a combination of density-equalizing mapping projections (DEMP) and socio-economic benchmarking was applied for analysis.

A total of 13,629 articles were retrieved. 8,744 articles were identified in P1 and 4,885 in P2. UNC0638 cost More than 100 articles were published annually since the 1980s. Regarding productivity and collaborative efforts, the United States was the leading nation in both evaluation periods. In our socioeconomic analysis, it was also ranked at the first place in P1 [72.68 mammography-related publications per GDP/capita (RGDP)]. The US was followed by the UK and Germany in P1 and by UK and India in P2. When population sizes were related to mammography research activities, Scandinavian countries and the Netherlands showed the highest research activity in P1 (e.g., Sweden 31.89 publications per 1 million inhabitants). Gender analysis illustrated a relative dominance of female researchers in most countries with the exception of Japan.

The global mammography research activity over the last century is paralleled by strong international collaborative efforts and follows largely economic figures and prevalence rates but displays distinct differences in comparison to the research landscape of other biomedical entities.

Patellofemoral pain (PFP) is a common knee condition and possible precursor of knee osteoarthritis (OA). Inflammation, leading to an increased perfusion, or increased volume of the infrapatellar fat pad (IPFP) may induce knee pain. The aim of the study was to compare quantitative dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE-MRI) parameters, as imaging biomarkers of inflammation, and volume of the IPFP between patients with PFP and controls and between patients with and without IPFP edema or joint effusion.

Patients with PFP and healthy controls were included and underwent non-fat suppressed 3D fast-spoiled gradient-echo (FSPGR) and DCE-MRI. Image registration was applied to correct for motion. The IPFP was delineated on FSPGR using Horos software. Volume was calculated and quantitative perfusion parameters were extracted by fitting extended Tofts' pharmacokinetic model. Differences in volume and DCE-MRI parameters between patients and controls were tested by linear regression analyses. IPFP edema and effusion were analyzed identically.

Forty-three controls and 35 PFP patients were included. Mean IPFP volume was 26.04 (4.18) mL in control subjects and 27.52 (5.37) mL in patients. Median K

was 0.017 (0.016) min

in control subjects and 0.016 (0.020) min

in patients. None of the differences in volume and perfusion parameters were statistically significant. Knees with effusion showed a higher perfusion of the IPFP compared to knees without effusion in patients only.

The IPFP has been implicated as source of knee pain, but higher DCE-MR blood perfusion, an imaging biomarker of inflammation, and larger volume are not associated with PFP. Patient's knees with effusion showed a higher perfusion, pointing towards inflammation.

Prostate tumor volume correlates with critical components of cancer staging such as Gleason score (GS) grade, predicted disease progression, and metastasis. Therefore, non-invasive tumor volume measurement may elevate clinical management. Radiology assessments of multi-parametric MRI (MP-MRI) commonly visually examine individual images to determine possible tumor presence. This study combines registered MP-MRI into a single image that display normal tissue and possible lesions. This study tests and exploits the vector nature of spatially registered MP-MRI by using supervised target detection algorithms (STDA) and color display and psychovisual analysis (CIELAB) to non-invasively estimate prostate tumor volume.

MRI, including T1, T2, diffusion [apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC)], dynamic contrast enhanced (DCE) images, were resampled, rescaled, translated, and stitched to form spatially registered Multi-parametric cubes. The multi-parametric or multi-spectral signatures (7-component or T1, T2, ADC, etc.displaying angiogenesis.

Photobiomodulation (PBM) by far-red (FR) to near-infrared (NIR) light has been demonstrated to accelerate diabetic wound healing in preclinical and clinical studies. Mitochondrial dysfunction and oxidative stress play key roles in impaired diabetic wound healing, and the effect of PBM on the metabolic state of diabetic wounds remains to be elucidated.

In this study, a custom-designed

fluorescence imaging technique was used to quantitatively assess the effect of FR-PBM on the mitochondrial bioenergetics of diabetic wounds. The intrinsic fluorescence of two mitochondrial co-enzymes, nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NADH) and oxidized flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD), was monitored to quantify the redox ratio (RR) (NADH/FAD) of wounds over time.

Using an excisional model of wound healing, we demonstrated that 670 nm (FR) PBM improved mitochondrial bioenergetics and stimulated the rate of wound healing in diabetic

mice. Wound closure and the RR of diabetic wounds in response to 670 nm PBM (4.5 J/cm

, 60 mW/cm

for 90 s per day, 5 days/week) were compared to the sham-treated group.
