OBJECTIVE To translate, culturally adapt, validate, and investigate the reliability of Arabic version of Bournemouth questionnaire (BQ) for patients with low back pain. METHOD Thirty experts (three panels) and 70 low back pain patients (37.5 ± 13.9 years) were involved in this study. Test-retest as well as internal consistency analyses were used to assess reliability. Intraclass correlation coefficient (95% confidence interval) was used to assess test-retest analysis, whereas Cronbach alpha value was calculated to assess the internal consistency. click here BQ Arabic version validity was evaluated in forms of face, content, internal, and external construct validity. Internal construct validity was evaluated with factor analysis, and external construct validity was tested by the correlation between the Arabic version of BQ and short-form (36) health survey (SF-36) questionnaire. RESULTS Factor analysis revealed that BQ had a single factor. BQ has a very good correlation with SF-36 questionnaire (r = .74). Arabic version of BQ has a high internal consistency reliability where Cronbach alpha value was 0.889 at baseline and 0.911 after 1 week. The test-retest analysis was between 0.87 and 0.96 and for the BQ total score was 0.95 (p less then .0001) indicating that test-retest results are highly correlated. CONCLUSION The Arabic version of BQ is a valid, reliable, and feasible scale for assessment of low back patients. It is short, easy-to-apply, need short time to complete and comprehensive scale. So it may be considered as a preferable scale for clinical assessment of Arabic speaking patients with low back pain. © 2020 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.BACKGROUND Suffering congenital heart disease leads to physical and mental disabilities in children. Children's self-care can result in appropriate care behaviors for limiting disease-induced problems. Given the ability of children to care for themselves, we investigated self-care statues in children who are suffering from congenital heart disease. METHOD This study was conducted using a mixed-method approach and a sequential explanatory design. A cross-sectional study was conducted to assess self-care status in 124 CHD children who were living in Kerman, Iran. In the qualitative phase, the researchers interviewed 13 of these children and three parents using semi-structured in-depth and face-to-face approaches. RESULTS The mean of self-care scores in these school-age children was optimal (10/7 ± 2/6). In the qualitative phase, three main themes were extracted captive to health issues physical and mental sufferings and wishing for peace of mind. CONCLUSION The results showed that self-care status in these children was optimal. As the main pillar of patient education, nurses can help enhance self-care behaviors and reduce the complications and problems induced by the disease by implementing educational and support interventions for children with CHD and their families. © 2020 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.γ-Aminobutyrate (GABA) is commonly used as a food supplement and a health care product by young females, due to its positive roles in relieving stress, alleviating anxiety, and improving sleep. However, its recommended daily dose in different products varies widely. Besides, it is unknown whether, and how, GABA consumption during early pregnancy influences pregnancy establishment. In this study, we found that when pregnant mice were treated with a high (12.5 mg/g) dose of GABA (orally) during preimplantation, there was a reduction in the number of implantation sites on day 5 of pregnancy. Also, among these unimplanted embryos, most exhibited morphological degeneration and developmental retardation, and only a few of them developed into blastocysts but could not implant into the uterus. Moreover, the expression of uterine receptivity-related factors-LIF, E-cadherin, and HOXA10-were all downregulated, while the number of uterine glands was reduced in the high GABA dose group. Finally, in vitro results demonstrated that GABA (ranging from 10 to 50 μg/μL) markedly inhibited preimplantation embryo development in a dose-response manner. However, this inhibitory effect was not observed when the embryos were pretreated with 40 μΜ 2-hydroxysaclofen, a GABAB antagonist, indicating that GABA exerts its inhibitory effects via its B-type receptor. Our results suggest that exposure to certain GABA concentrations, during early pregnancy, can impair preimplantation embryo development via its B-type receptor, and endometrial receptivity, which greatly disturbs early embryo implantation in mice. These findings could raise concerns about GABA consumption during the early stages of pregnancy. © 2020 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.The area of forest established through afforestation/reforestation has been increasing on a global scale, which is particularly important as these planted forests attenuate climate change by sequestering carbon. However, the determinants of soil organic carbon sequestration and their contribution to the ecosystem carbon sink of planted forests remains uncertain. By using globally distributed data extracted from 154 peer-reviewed publications and a total of 355 sampling points, we investigated above-ground biomass carbon (ABC) sequestration and soil organic carbon (SOC) sequestration across three different climatic zones (tropical, warm temperate, and cold temperate) through correlation analysis, regression models, and structural equation modeling (SEM). We found that the proportion of SOC sequestration in the ecosystem C sequestration averaged 14.1% globally, being the highest (27.0%) in the warm temperate and the lowest (10.7%) in the tropical climatic zones. The proportion was mainly affected by latitude. Teserved.HOXA cluster antisense RNA 2 (HOXA-AS2) is a long noncoding RNA associated with the development of numerous cancers. But, whether HOXA-AS2 exhibits a certain function in sepsis-engendered acute kidney injury (AKI) remains uninvestigated. We strived to unveil the role of HOXA-AS2 in sepsis-engendered AKI. The expression of HOXA-AS2 in sepsis patients, animal models and lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-impaired HK-2 cells was primarily assessed via a real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction. The effects of HOXA-AS2 on cell survival of HK-2 cells under LPS irritation were evaluated after overexpression of HOXA-AS2. The correlation between HOXA-AS2 and microRNA (miR)-106b-5p was forecasted via bioinformatics software and verified by using a luciferase report system. Subsequently, the functions of miR-106b-5p in LPS-damaged HK-2 cells were reassessed. Western blot was used for the determination of Wnt/β-catenin and nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB) pathways. HOXA-AS2 expression was decreased in sepsis patients, animal operation group and LPS-irritated HK-2 cells.
