The scorecard evaluates the burden and management of osteoporosis in Canada and how care pathways differ across Canadian provinces. The results showed there are inequities in patients' access to diagnosis, treatment, and post-fracture care programs in Canada. Interventions are needed to close the osteoporosis treatment gap and minimize these inequities.

The purpose of this study was to develop a visual scorecard that assesses the burden of osteoporosis and its management within Canada and seven Canadian provinces.

We adapted the Scorecard for Osteoporosis in Europe (SCOPE) to score osteoporosis indicators for Canada and seven provinces (British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, and Newfoundland). We obtained data from a comprehensive literature review and interviews with osteoporosis experts. We scored 20 elements across four domains burden of disease, policy framework, service provision, and service uptake. The PSWQ-C is a 14-item self-report questionnaire designed to measure the generality, excessiveness, and uncontrollability aspects of pathological worries in children and adolescents. Factor analysis results suggested that the three reverse-scored items represented one or more unknown factors rather than worry; thus, they were discarded and the remaining 11 positively worded items formed the Chinese version of the PSWQ-C (CH-PSWQ-C). The CH-PSWQ-C was found to have acceptable internal consistency reliability and favorable convergent and divergent validity by examining its correlations with measures of anxiety, depression, and some personality characteristics. A prevalence study was conducted at three time points (TP) on consecutive MRSA screening isolates to evaluate for their MICs to MUP, CHG, and OCT using broth microdilution sensititre plates and detection of the ileS-2 gene encoding high-level MUP resistance in 2013 (pre-intervention TP1; n = 160), 2016 (early post-intervention TP2; n = 99) and 2017 (late post-intervention TP3; n = 76). Statistical analyses were performed using Chi square test with reference from TP1. There was a significant improvement in MUP susceptibility (MIC 256 mcg/ml) reduced from 25.0% (TP1) to 12.1% (TP2; p = 0.014) to 5.3% (TP3; p = 0.001). Likewise, the prevalence of isolates harboring the ileS-2 gene decreased from 28.1% (TP1) to 18.2% (TP2; p = 0.072) to 9.2% (TP3; p = 0.002). VPA and HDAC1 knockdown decreased the level of EZH2, a core component of the polycomb repressive complex 2, and upregulated the transcription factor CASZ1, a positive regulator of p75NTR. MINOCA is challenging in clinical practice, as the pathophysiology is multifaceted. A total of 135 patients with MINOCA who underwent cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging (CMR) in a single tertiary University Hospital, were retrospectively included. The study cohort was classified into 4 groups according to the CMR diagnosis (i.e., myocarditis, myocardial infarction, Takotsubo cardiomyopathy, normal or uncommon diagnosis).
