Recent developments in quantum materials hold promise for revolutionizing energy and information technologies. The use of soft matter self-assembly, for example, by employing block copolymers (BCPs) as structure directing or templating agents, offers facile pathways toward quantum metamaterials with highly tunable mesostructures via scalable solution processing. Here, we report the preparation of patternable mesoporous niobium carbonitride-type thin film superconductors through spin-coating of a hybrid solution containing an amphiphilic BCP swollen by niobia sol precursors and subsequent thermal processing in combination with photolithography. Spin-coated as-made BCP-niobia hybrid thin films on silicon substrates after optional photolithographic definition are heated in air to produce a porous oxide, and subsequently converted in a multistep process to carbonitrides via treatment with high temperatures in reactive gases including ammonia. Grazing incidence small-angle X-ray scattering suggests the presence ofacademic and industrial potential by combining the capabilities of soft matter self-assembly with quantum materials.Magnetoactive elastomers (MAEs), one kind of typical novel magnetoactive driver applied in the soft robotic area, have become one of the research hotspots as they can provide biologically friendly driving methods with safe, preprogrammed, and easy-to-implement properties. In this study, novel MAEs embedding soft magnetic iron microparticles with radial chains, which can be molded in one piece, achieve 3D deformation, and co-work between multiple MAEs under single homogeneous stimuli, are proposed. Then, two kinds of novel magnetoactive drivers are established based on the proposed MAEs, which can achieve the synchronous pumping behavior of heart and the extension behavior of muscle under applied homogeneous magnetic fields. The experimental data show that (1) for the pumping behavior, the maximum instantaneous flow rate and total pumping volume can reach 200.1 and 52.3 mL/min, respectively, under 120 BPM applied harmonic magnetic field with 0-300 mT amplitude; (2) the muscle extension behavior can achieve a strain of 0.925 without a loading mass and carry a load of 40 times its own weight with a pronounced dynamic movement. It should be emphasized that the behavior of the proposed magnetoactive drivers can be excited by remote homogeneous magnetic fields, and it has great application potential in biomimetic or bioinspired soft driving systems. In the current work, a method was proposed to fabricate strain-sensing yarns via epoxy/thiol reactions by a dip-coating method. Reduced graphene oxide (rGO) was modified with (3-mercaptopropyl)triethoxysilane, and polyurethane yarn was cross-linked with 3-glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane. The existence of thiol in modified rGO and epoxy in the cross-linked polyurethane yarn contributed to the formation of the covalent bond between the elastic substrate and the conductive layer, resulting in good adhesion between the substrate and the conductive layer, as well as excellent electromechanical performance. The outstanding strain-sensing performance make the prepared yarn show excellent potential in practical applications when monitoring human motions, which makes it a promising candidate for wearable sensing devices. This study highlights the facet structure control of regular NixCo3-xO4 nanoplates and interfacial modulation through elemental doping and morphologically fitted assembly of Ti3C2Tx nanosheets for high performances in OER/HER and overall water splitting. Over the resulting Ni0.09Co2.91O4/Ti3C2Tx-HT in a solution of 1 M KOH, the OER and HER overpotentials of 262 and 210 mV, respectively, are achievable at a current density of 10 mA cm-2. In the case of the overall water splitting by using Ni0.09Co2.91O4/Ti3C2Tx-HT as anode and cathode catalysts, only a potential of 1.66 V is needed to obtain a current density of 10 mA cm-2, and the catalysts can stand for a period of 70 h, remarkably outperforming the RuO2-Pt/C-based catalyst and benefiting from the intensive association and interfacial function between the Ti3C2Tx and NixCo3-xO4 nanosheets. this website Interestingly, a surface reconstruction from the (112) to (111) facet structure occurred upon the fine-tuned Ni doping of regular NixCo3-xO4 hexagonal nanoplates and led to a highly active catalyst surface. At x = 0.09, the amount of Ni3+ becomes the highest, which is favorable for the generation of the critical OH intermediates on NixCo3-xO4/Ti3C2Tx-HT. The current study documented the significance of the well-controlled interfacial assembly of transition-metal oxide/MXenes as an effective electrocatalyst in the OER/HER and overall water splitting processes and provided the insights into the structure-performance correlation over such kinds of precious metal-free catalysts.
Emotionally unstable personality disorder (EUPD) is a challenging condition with a prevalence of 20% in inpatient services. Psychotherapy is the preferred treatment; nevertheless, off-license medications are widely used.
To identify socio-demographics, clinical and service-delivery characteristics of people with EUPD admitted to inpatient services between 1st January 2017 and 31st December 2018.
A retrospective review using data from patients' records. Individuals, age 18-65 were included. Statistical analysis was conducted by the Mann-Whitney-Wilcoxon test and Chi-squared test with Yates's continuity correction.
Of 1646 inpatients, 201 (12.2%); had the diagnosis of EUPD; 133 (66.0%) women, 68 (44.0%). EUPD was significantly (P < .001) more prevalent in women (18.2%) than men (7.4%). EUPD patients were significantly (P < .001) younger (32.2years) than patients without EUPD (46 years), and had significantly (P<.001) more admissions (1.74) than patients without EUPD (1.2 admission). 70.5% ofpatients had one and 17.0% two Axis-I psychiatric co-morbidities. Substance use was significantly (P < .001) more often in men (57.3%) than in women (28.5%). Significantly (P= 0.047) more women (68.4%) than men (53.0%) reported sexual abuse. 87.5% used polypharmacy. Antidepressants were significantly (P = 0.02) often prescribed to women (76.6%) than men (69.1%). Significantly (P = 0.02) more women (83.5%) than men (67.6%) were on antipsychotics. 57.2% of the patients were on anxiolytics, 40.0% on hypnotics and 25.8% on mood stabilisers.
