The optical tweezers independently and simultaneously assemble batches of spheres that are dispensed to the build site via an automated syringe pump where the spheres are then joined together within previously unattainable patterns by curing regions of photocurable prepolymer between each sphere using two-photon polymerization. The choice of electrolyte has a crucial influence on the performance of rechargeable magnesium batteries. In multivalent electrolytes an agglomeration of ions to pairs or bigger clusters may affect the transport in the electrolyte and the reaction at the electrodes. In this work we include the formation of clusters in our general model for magnesium batteries. In our model we consistently take into account the effect of cluster formation on transport, thermodynamics and kinetics. The model is used to analyze the effect of ion clustering in a Mg[B(hfip) 4 ] 2 \ DME electrolyte. It becomes apparent that the ion agglomeration is able to explain experimentally observed phenomena at high salt concentrations. Background and objectives There are high rates of comorbid alcohol use disorder (AUD) among those who have posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Ideally, treatment for comorbidity should address both disorders simultaneously. Zonisamide, an anticonvulsant, may be effective in decreasing alcohol use and may attenuate symptoms of PTSD. Treatment strategies can include medication in combination with a proven evidence-based psychotherapy designed to treat PTSD, such as cognitive processing therapy (CPT). Methods This 12-week pilot study was designed to test feasibility, acceptability, and preliminary efficacy of zonisamide (400 mg) as an adjunct to CPT for veterans with PTSD and comorbid AUD. Veterans (n = 24) with PTSD and current alcohol dependence were randomized in a 31 ratio to receive zonisamide or placebo in a double-blind fashion. All subjects received CPT enhanced to include sessions addressing drinking behavior. Results Subjects overall reported a significant decrease in drinking outcomes, craving, and symptoms of PTSD. Zonisamide was well-tolerated and easily administered with CPT, which was also well-tolerated. PMA activator concentration Exploratory analysis of comparison of groups suggests there was no advantage of zonisamide vs placebo in drinking or PTSD outcomes. There was a numeric but nonsignificant higher rate of abstinence with zonisamide (50%) vs placebo (33%). Conclusion and scientific significance The interpretation of the results is limited by the pilot nature of this study. The combination of psychosocial treatment with medication management mimics real-world treatment. In order to isolate the individual contributions of medication vs psychotherapy a much larger study would need to be conducted. The resulting structures are difficult to remove or repair and prone to cracking. Here, a hybrid ink is used to obviate the sintering step and print interconnected particle networks that become highly conductive immediately after drying. It is shown that reversible conductive printing is possible on low-cost cardboard samples after applying standard paper industry coats that are adapted in terms of surface energy and porosity. The conductivity of the printed films approaches that of sintered standard inks on the same substrate, but the mobility of the hybrid particle film makes them less sensitive to cracks during bending and folding of the substrate. Damages that occur can be partially repaired by wetting the film such that particle mobility is increased and particles move to bridge insulating gaps in the film. It is demonstrated that the conductive material can be recovered from the cardboard at the end of its life time and be redispersed to recycle the particles and reuse them in conductive inks.Contemporary art is often challenging for the viewer, especially when it violates classic rules of representation. Also, viewers usually have little knowledge about this type of art, making its reception even more difficult. Our main research question was how the cognitive challenge associated with contemporary art affects eye movement. In particular, we aimed to assess the impact on eye movements of (a) object-related cognitive challenge in terms of image properties (syntactic and semantic violations) and (b) subject-related cognitive challenge (composite subjective estimate of image inconsistency, ambiguity, and complexity). The eye movements of expert and naive participants were recorded while they freely viewed digital copies of contemporary paintings (four groups of five paintings each, differing in presence of semantic and syntactic violations). We found that neither violations nor art expertise alone predicted eye movements, although perceived, subjectively experienced cognitive challenge did. In particular, subject-related cognitive challenge was associated with an increase in visual exploration (longer and more numerous fixations, bigger area of exploration, longer viewing time). The roles of object-related and subject-related indicators of cognitive challenge in perception of contemporary art are discussed. The rapid emergence of COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019) has necessitated the implementation of diverse pandemic control strategies throughout the world. In order to effectively control the spread of this disease, it is essential that it be diagnosed at an early stage so that patients can be reliably quarantined such that disease spread will be slowed. At present, the diagnosis of this infectious form of coronavirus pneumonia is largely dependent upon a combination of laboratory testing and imaging analyses of variable diagnostic efficacy. In the present report, we reviewed prior literature pertaining to the diagnosis of different forms of pneumonia caused by coronaviruses (SARS, MERS, and SARS-CoV-2) and assessed two different potential diagnostic approaches. We ultimately found that computed tomography (CT) was associated with a higher rate of diagnostic accuracy than was a real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR)-based approach (P = 0.0041), and chest radiography (P = 0.0100). Even so, it is important that clinicians utilize a combination of laboratory and radiological testing where possible in order to ensure that this virus is reliably and quickly detected such that it may be treated and patients may be isolated in a timely fashion, thereby effectively curbing the further progression of this pandemic.
