Acute toxicity of ARs was evaluated by single dose, intraperitoneal injections. The median lethal dose (LD50) ranges were 137-175 μg DPN/g, 155-182 μg CPN/g, and 36-48 μg BROD/g for Red-toothed triggerfish and 90-122 μg DPN/g, 125-164 μg CPN/g, and 50-75 μg BROD/g for black triggerfish. Laboratory surrogate test fish species fathead minnow and largemouth bass were of similar sensitivity toward AR-induced toxicity compared to triggerfish based on LD50 values. Sublethal effects on elevated clotting time occurred in dose-dependent fashion in all fish tested. We project an annual average of 3100 averted ozone-related asthma ED visits during the 2045-2055 period under RCP4.5 versus RCP8.5, with all other factors held constant, which translates to USD $1.7 million in averted costs annually. We identify counties with tens to hundreds of avoided ozone-related asthma ED visits under RCP4.5 versus RCP8.5. Overall, we project a heterogeneous distribution of ozone-related asthma ED visits at different spatial resolutions, specifically national, regional, and county levels, and a substantial net health and economic benefit of climate change mitigation. In this study, iron foam combined ozonation was employed as an advanced oxidation process to treat the organic contaminants in real pharmaceutical wastewater. It was found that this procedure worked well in a wide range of pH, the existence of iron foam in ozonation system markedly elevated the mineralization level of organic contaminants. Within the reaction time of 120 min, iron foam combined ozonation achieved 53% of DOC removal percentage, which was 21% higher than that of ozone alone. To investigate the influence of antibiotics on microbial interactions in a biofilm community, we set up eight replicate reactors of microbial electrolysis cell (MEC) and applied a broad-spectrum antibiotic florfenical (FLO) as an environmental disturbance. According to the results, exposure to FLO resulted in degradation of reactor performance. The MEC could also rebound back to the comparably stable state at a certain time which exhibited a great resilience ability in response to antibiotic disturbance. The FLO perturbation showed a significant influence on the electroactive biofilms (EABs) with a distinct reformation of the community structure. Network analysis revealed that microbial interactions in the biofilms after full recovery became much closer, with a rapid increase in the positive interactions between the predominant genus Geobacter and other microorganisms as compared to the stage before FLO disturbance. Moreover, the keystone species in the networks after full recovery possessed more connections between Geobacter and potential synergistic species. Our results demonstrated that FLO, with broad-spectrum antibacterial ability, could restructure the EABs with more positive interactions for hydrogen production. This study demonstrated the response mechanisms of the MECs to the antibiotic disturbance, providing a scientific reference for the rapid development of this biotechnology to treat wastewater containing antibiotics. Evaluation approaches should be appropriate for their contexts. Scholars and practitioners alike have widely acknowledged this view for at least four decades, and the ability to respond to context is clearly established as a core evaluator competency. Outside of evaluation, this knowledge of context, known as situation awareness, is seen as a critical feature of good decision making and as a factor that distinguishes experts from novices across a wide range of domains. Yet there are few opportunities for evaluators to explicitly build their skills in situation awareness. This study addressed that gap by examining the potential for one online training program, informed by research on deliberate practice, to accelerate evaluators' progress towards expertise in situation awareness. Built to align with evidence on developing situation awareness skills, the EvalPractice portal combined (1) an extensive 'case bank' of real-world evaluation scenarios, (2) repetitive practice that allowed novice evaluators to practice interpreting these evaluation scenarios, and (3) immediate feedback on the accuracy of these efforts based on events from the real-life version of the scenario.
