The study describes how stakeholder engagements might use such analytic tools and their information products to provide overlapping but alternative entry points for groups with fundamentally different worldviews to engage with each other in deliberative processes appropriate for wicked problems.Oral anticholinergics such as oxybutynin (OOx) and glycopyrrolate (OGly) are frequently used in the management of hyperhidrosis. Although OOx is considered currently the anticholinergic drug of first choice, OGly is a safe and effective alternative if OOx fails. The aim of this study was to identify the main variables associated with treatment adherence by patients receiving OGly, for whom previous treatment with OOx had failed. A prospective study was conducted of patients with hyperhidrosis receiving treatment with OGly in the period 2012 to 2019. Epidemiological variables, treatment details, effectiveness and adverse effects were recorded. A total of 58 patients (41 women), with a mean age of 35.9 years, were included in the study. The median follow-up period was 32 months. At 3 months, 70.7% of the patients had responded to treatment (excellent response 75.6%), and adverse effects were reported by 70.7%. At 12 months, 53.4% had responded (excellent response 74.2%), with adverse effects in 70.9%. The variables associated with poorer adherence were affected areas palms of the hands, soles of the feet and armpits. The only variable associated with greater adherence was the generalized presence of hyperhidrosis. Our results provide valuable insights into the outcomes achieved when OGly is used to treat hyperhidrosis.A new method, multivariate similarity clustering analysis (MSCA) method, was established for biogeographical distribution analyzing. General similarity formula (GSF), the core of MSCA method, can be used to calculate the similarity coefficients between 2 and among any ≥ 3 geographical units. Taking the global insects as example, we introduced the steps to use of GSF and consequent clustering processes of this method in details. Firstly, geographical distributions of certain taxa (e.g. click here Insecta) were categorized into basic geographical units (BGUs); Secondly, similarity coefficients between 2 and among n BGUs were calculated using GSF. Thirdly, hierarchical clustering was conducted according to values of similarity coefficients (from high to low); then a clustering diagram was generated. Finally, a framework of biogeographical division map was established for the target taxa (e.g. Insecta). We concluded that the MSCA method was efficiently applied in analyzing the biogeographical distribution of given biological taxa; the geographical regions regarding global insects were categorized into 7 Realms with 20 sub-Realms based on the results of MSCA method.Electrostatic interactions can strongly increase the efficiency of protein complex formation. The charge distribution in redox proteins is often optimized to steer a redox partner to the electron transfer active binding site. To test whether the optimized distribution is more important than the strength of the electrostatic interactions, an additional negative patch was introduced on the surface of cytochrome c peroxidase, away from the stereospecific binding site, and its effect on the encounter complex as well as the rate of complex formation was determined. Monte Carlo simulations and paramagnetic relaxation enhancement NMR experiments indicate that the partner, cytochrome c, interacts with the new patch. Unexpectedly, the rate of the active complex formation was not reduced, but rather slightly increased. To reveal the microbiota effect in atopic dermatitis children under therapy with topical corticosteroids and antibiotics. 59 atopic dermatitis patients were randomized to two treatment groups (by corticosteroids or combination therapy) in Beijing Children's Hospital. The lesion microbial samples were collected for 16S rDNA sequencing and bioinformatics analysis. After treatment, 57 patients recovered significantly. Though topical antibiotics application blocked the restoration of commensal Streptococcus, no remarkable differences of cutaneous microbiota were identified between the two groups along the treatment. In subject 1081, who received the combination therapy, the Streptococcus and Pseudomonas as well as Chryseobacterium increased dramatically. On the contrary, the Staphylococcus aureus decreased sharply in subject 1107 with topical corticosteroids treatment Our preliminary study suggested the necessity to consider cutaneous microbiota profile when prescribing antibiotics.
