The complete chloroplast genome of Hovenia dulcis was sequenced with Illumina HiSeq 2000 platform. It was a typical quadruple structure as other plants of Hovenia with 162,962 bp in length, including a large single-copy (LSC 90,900 bp) region and a small single-copy (SSC 18,920 bp) which were separated by a pair of inverted repeats (IRa, b 26,571 bp) region. The overall GC content is 36.6%. A total of 130 genes was annotated which contained 85 protein-coding genes including the Trans splicing gene of rps12, 37 tRNA genes, and 8 rRNA genes. ML phylogenetic analysis compared with 6 expressed chloroplast genomes of Rhamnaceae revealed that H. dulcis was closely related to the species of Zizyphus, and which were clustered into a group with Z. jujuba, Z. mauritiana and Z. spina-christi. Hovenia dulcis was relatively distant to other species of Berchemiella and Rhamnus, which were clustered into another group. The complete mitogenome of Nasimyia megacephala Yang & Yang, 2010 (Stratiomyidae Pachygastrinae) successfully sequenced. The mitogenome of N. megacephala is a circular DNA molecule of 16,069 bp in length with 72% AT content, consisting of 13 PCGs, two rRNAs, 22 tRNAs, and a large control region. The gene order is consistent with other dipteran mitogenomes. The phylogenetic tree was reconstructed using maximum likelihood analysis, and the topology revealed that Pachygastrinae is not a monophyletic group.Abutilon theophrasti Medic is a traditional Chinese medicine, which can be seen nearly everywhere in China. In order to study its complete chloroplast genome, we collected leaves and obtained chloroplast genome information through next-generation sequencing. It showed that the genome whole length is 160,331 bp, resulted from 24,578,194 raw reads with 3,669,530,829 bases in total, and the GC contents ratio is 36.90%. Besides, the large single-copy region (LSC) is 89,006 bp, the small single-copy region (SSC) 20,149 bp, and inverted repeat (IR) 25,588 bp. The chloroplast genome encodes 76 genes, which contains 38 protein genes, five rRNA genes, and 33 tRNA. By conducting phylogenetic analysis for A.theophrasti, plants from genus Gossypium demonstrated close relationship with it.Potato (Solanum tuberosum L.), a species of the family Solanaceae, is the fourth most important food crop worldwide. Solanum tuberosum L. cv. Favorita is a long oval, smooth, yellowish-skinned potato variety with green and plump leaves. It has a dry matter content of 17.7% and starch content of 12.4-14.01% in the tuber. In order to support more genetic data for the taxonomy of S. tuberosum, the complete chloroplast (cp) genome sequence of S. tuberosum L. cv. Favorita was determined using next-generation sequencing. In leaves, the chloroplast genome accounts for 5.17% of the total genome. The entire cp genome was determined to be 155,296 bp in length. It contained large single-copy (LSC) and small single-copy (SSC) regions of 85,737 and 18,373 bp, respectively, which were separated by a pair of 25,593 bp inverted repeat (IR) regions. The genome contained 132 total genes, including 87 protein-coding genes, 37 tRNA genes, and eight rRNA genes. The overall GC content of the genome is 37.9%. A phylogenetic tree reconstructed by 60 chloroplast genomes reveals that S. tuberosum L. cv. Favorita is most closely related to S. tuberosum L. cv. Desiree and S. tuberosum L. cv. Atlantic.Schizonepeta tenuifolia (Benth.) Briq. is a traditional Chinese medicinal herb. The complete chloroplast genome sequence of S. tenuifolia was obtained by high-throughput sequencing platform. The chloroplast genome of S. tenuifolia is a circular form of 151,254 bp in length, with an average GC content of 37.85%. The genome contains a set of 132 genes, including 87 protein-coding genes, 37 tRNA genes, and eight rRNA genes. Phylogenetic analysis based on complete chloroplast genome sequences indicates that S. tenuifolia has a close relationship with Dracocephalum palmatum. This study provides a molecular basis for the classification of S. tenuifolia. The complete mitochondrial genome of Compsilura concinnata (Meigen), was analyzed by next-generation sequencing approach. IDO inhibitor Its mitogenome is 15,841 bp totally, which consists of 13 protein-coding genes, 22 transfer RNA genes, two ribosomal RNA genes, and one non-coding control region. The nucleotide composition biases toward A and T, the overall A + T% was up to 80.9% of the entire mitogenome. Phylogenetic analysis supported the sister relationship between Goniini and Blondeliini. The result also suggested that the monophyly of the Exoristinae. The first mitochondrial genome of a fern sawfly, Strongylogaster xanthocera Stephens, 1835 was determined. The sequence is 15,210 bp in length, including 37 typical mitochondrial genes. Four tRNA gene arrangements were observed. This mitochondrial genome provided an essential resource for addressing taxonomic issues and studying molecular evolution.Securigera varia is an important leguminous forage grass species that is mainly distributed in arid and semi-arid land with water scarcity, and has outstanding drought resistance. In this study, Illumina sequencing was used to obtain the complete sequence of the S. varia chloroplast genome. The complete genome was 154,257 bp in length with 35.9% GC content. It was a circular genome containing a large single-copy region (LSC, 84,762 bp), a small single-copy region (SSC, 18,059 bp), and a pair of inverted repeat regions (IRs, 51,436 bp). A total of 128 genes were encoded, including 83 protein-coding genes, 37 tRNAs, and 8 rRNAs. Phylogenetic analysis revealed that S. varia was closely related to Robinia pseudoacacia. The sequence data of S. varia chloroplast genome could provide useful genetic information for the studies on phylogenetic and evolutionary of Leguminosae.Onobrychis viciifolia is mainly distributed in Europe and has been widely cultivated in North and Northwest of China.
