This article describes trends in parental wealth homogamy among union cohorts formed between 1987 and 2013 in Denmark. Using high-quality register data on the wealth of parents during the year of partnering, we show that the correlation between partners' levels of parental wealth is considerably lower compared with estimates from research on other countries. Nonetheless, parental wealth homogamy is high at the very top of the parental wealth distribution, and individuals from wealthy families are relatively unlikely to partner with individuals from families with low wealth. Parental wealth correlations among partners are higher when only parental assets rather than net wealth are examined, implying that the former might be a better measure for studying many social stratification processes. Most specifications indicate that homogamy increased in the 2000s relative to the 1990s, but trends can vary depending on methodological choices. The increasing levels of parental wealth homogamy raise concerns that over time, partnering behavior has become more consequential for wealth inequality between couples.Scholars have increasingly drawn attention to rising levels of income inequality in the United States. However, prior studies have provided an incomplete account of how changes to specific transfer programs have contributed to changes in income growth across the distribution. Our study decomposes the direct effects of tax and transfer programs on changes in the household income distribution from 1967 to 2015. We show that despite a rising Gini coefficient, lower-tail inequality (the ratio of the 50th to 10th percentile) declined in the United States during this period due to the rise of in-kind and tax-based transfers. Food assistance and refundable tax credits account for nearly all the income growth between 1967 and 2015 at the 5th percentile and roughly one-half the growth at the 10th percentile. Moreover, income gains near the bottom of the distribution are concentrated among households with children. Changes in the income distribution were far less progressive among households without children. In the wake of the Paris agreement, the adoption of green innovation practices has received substantial attention throughout the world. The consumers, manufacturers, governments, and communities have started realizing the severity and intensity of environmental hazards and climate change. The manufacturing sector is one of the leading industrial waste producers and contributors to environmental pollution, posing a threat to environmental sustainability. The adoption of green innovation practices in the manufacturing sector is indispensable to ensure environmental sustainability. However, it is pivotal to identify, assess, and evaluate the green innovation aspects and sub-aspects with the perspective of sustainability performance indicators in the manufacturing industry. This study services this purpose and proposes a hybrid multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) by combining the fuzzy analytical hierarchy process (FAHP) and fuzzy technique for order of preference by similarity to ideal solution (FTOPSIS) to analyze the effects of green innovation aspects with sustainability performance of the manufacturing industry. The authors identify six green innovation aspects (criteria), twenty-four sub-aspects (sub-criteria), and three sustainability performance indicators (alternatives) for the manufacturing industry in China. The FAHP method indicates that green managerial innovation, green product innovation, and green technological innovation are the most influential aspects of implementing green innovation practices. Further, the FTOPSIS technique reveals that environmental performance is the most suitable sustainability performance indicator in adopting green innovation practices in the garment manufacturing industry of China. This research provides support to the managers and policymakers in understanding the green innovation practices in promoting sustainable development in the manufacturing industry. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) reported that global climate change has led to the increased occurrence of extreme weather events. In the context of global climate change, more evidence indicates that abnormal meteorological conditions could increase the risk of epidemiological mortality and morbidity. In this study, using a systematic review, we evaluated a total of 175 studies (including 158 studies on outdoor environment and 17 studies on indoor environment) to summarize the impact of outdoor and indoor environment on human health in China using the database of PubMed, Web of Science, the Cochrane Library, and Embase. In particular, we focused on studies about cardiovascular and respiratory mortality and morbidity, the prevalence of digestive system diseases, infectious diseases, and preterm birth. Most of the studies we reviewed were conducted in three of the metropolises of China, including Beijing, Guangzhou, and Shanghai. For the outdoor environment, we summarized the effects of climate change-related phenomena on health, including ambient air temperature, diurnal temperature range (DTR), temperature extremes, and so on. Studies on the associations between temperature and human health accounted for 79.7% of the total studies reviewed. We also screened out 19 articles to explore the effect of air temperature on cardiovascular diseases in different cities in the final meta-analysis. Besides, modern lifestyle involves a large amount of time spent indoors; therefore, indoor environment also plays an important role in human health. Nevertheless, studies on the impact of indoor environment on human health are rarely reported in China. According to the limited reports, adverse indoor environment could impose a high health risk on children. This study aims to evaluate the quality of groundwater in the most arid province of Iran, Yazd. It is highly dependent on groundwater resources to meet the domestic, industrial, and agricultural water demand. Position of water samples on the modified Gibbs diagram demonstrates that the interaction with silicates and the increase in direct cation exchange are responsible for the increased salinity of groundwater. read more Based on entropy theory, the decreasing order of importance of variables in controlling groundwater chemistry is Fe > As > Ba > Hg > NO2 > Pb > K > Cl > Na > Mg > SO4 > NO3 > HCO3 > Ca. The results of entropy weighted water quality index (EWWQI) calculation show that about 34 and 32% of 206 samples in the wet and dry seasons, respectively, are classified as extremely poor quality (ranks 4 and 5). Approximately 60 and 55% of 206 samples in wet and dry seasons, respectively, have excellent, good, and medium quality (ranks 1, 2, and 3). The non-carcinogenic human health risk (NHHR) from intake and dermal contact pathways using deterministic approach show that 36 and 17 samples in both seasons are not suitable for drinking by children.
