A Built in Microwave Oven Combo Offers Convenience and Versatility

A built in microwave oven combo offers the best of both worlds by connecting your wall oven and microwave into one appliance. They can save space on your counters and give your kitchen a classy appearance.

These models are equipped with powerful broilers, which cook food evenly. The microwaves can also allow food to be cooked quickly. These models have a variety of cooking options for different dishes.

Size

Combining the convenience of a microwave oven with the flexibility of a wall oven with a built-in microwave and wall oven combination is an efficient solution for many kitchens. Explore our range of wall ovens that combine with microwaves to find the ideal fit for your home. Make sure to review the cutout specifications for your chosen unit and the installation guide to make sure it will fit in your space. Our microwave and oven combos include microwave and oven models in a variety designs, colors and styles that can be incorporated into any decor. Look for features like easy and efficient controls, a power cook function and a built-in self-cleaning system to help you save time.

Convenience

A microwave oven with built-in features can save space on your counters and make your kitchen appear more modern appearance. Because it acts as a microwave and traditional oven it is able to heat leftovers, frozen food items and pre-packaged meals all in one appliance. It also eliminates the need for an additional countertop appliance or a bulky stand-alone wall oven. If you're looking to improve your home without the need for major remodeling the combination microwave oven is a great option.

There are microwave oven combos in various designs to fit your kitchen's decor. Some have a right-to-left swing-out door, whereas others feature a drop-down style that opens the same way as a traditional oven. There is also a microwave-oven combo that opens inside a drawer, similar to a cabinet. Microwave drawers can be easily reached and are great for small space.

Combination microwaves can also offer various features to aid in meal preparation and more practical. For example, some models have a sensor steam cycle that automatically adjusts the time and temperature of your food items to ensure that you get perfect steaming of your fish and vegetables. Other features include the broil element that allows you to swiftly melt cheese and brown your favorite dish. Crispwave(tm) in turn can cook, grill, and crisp food items.

Think about how often you'll utilize each feature before deciding on the microwave oven combination. If you will be using the oven more than the microwave, you may be better off buying a double wall-oven. It's also important to remember that a combination appliance generally has less capacity than a traditional standalone oven.

Once you've selected the best microwave and oven combination for your needs, it's time to consider the installation. Over-the-range models mount over the stove or cooktop and connect to an electrical outlet, while built-in microwaves can be plugged directly into the walls or cabinets of your kitchen. Some models come with trim kits that allow you to seamlessly blend your new microwave with your existing kitchen cabinets.

Energy Efficiency

Built-in microwave ovens are a great choice for those with smaller kitchens in their home or apartment. They can help save the space in cabinets that would otherwise be occupied by separate appliances, and also reduce energy consumption. They are more energy efficient than traditional wall ovens and provide a more efficient way to cook. They can also be used to cook warm and hot dishes, eliminating the requirement for additional appliances like toasters or warming plates.

When evaluating potential amended energy conservation standards, DOE conducts several analyses, including assessment of technology and market conditions screening analysis, engineering analysis, and national impacts analysis (NIA). In this SNOPR, DOE will rely on its existing engineering analysis of microwave ovens to determine the best level of improvements in efficiency that are technologically feasible for this product class.

DOE will evaluate the design of a microwave with the energy performance goals set in the engineering analysis. The engineering analysis will then determine the maximum improvement in energy efficiency that is technologically feasible based on the most advanced microprocessor-controlled model available on the market or in working prototypes, or the maximum reduction in energy consumption that is technically achievable with the current technologies available for this product class.

As part of the NIA, DOE will evaluate the impacts on consumers for each product category, including lifecycle cost savings as well as simple payback periods ("PBP"). DOE will use the Government Regulatory Impact Model, with an adaptation for microwavable ovens, to calculate the industry net present value (NPV).

DOE will also evaluate the effects on manufacturers and will use a modified industry cash flow model adapted to this product type in order to estimate manufacturing NPV. Finally, DOE will consider the potential impact on small business manufacturers as well as other subgroups of manufacturers to identify any that could be disproportionally affected by these proposals.

In addition, DOE will consider whether the tests for microwave ovens need to be revised to include active mode energy use as well as a possible integrated active mode energy use metric. The current test procedures only cover the standby mode power usage.

Design

Wall ovens depend on the circulating of hot air while microwaves rely on waves to cause the water molecules in food items to vibrate and produce heat. microwave in built blend these two very different appliances into a single unit that saves kitchen space and offers an elegant, modern look. It is important to think about your budget and needs before deciding on a combination wall oven. Some of the ovens we evaluated have performance or design issues.
