A magnetic o-hydroxyazobenzene (M-HAzo) porous organic polymer was facilely prepared by a green azo coupling reaction in aqueous solution. The prepared M-HAzo was applied as a new adsorbent for the first time to pre-concentrate phthalate esters (PAEs) from plastic bottled juice, followed by their determination with high performance liquid chromatography-ultraviolet detection. The effects of various parameters, i.e., the mass ratio of the Fe3O4@SiO2 to HAzo, extraction time, ionic strength, pH of the sample, desorption conditions were optimized. Under the optimized conditions, the M-HAzo based method exhibited good performance in terms of linear range (0.3-50.0 μg L-1), detection limit (0.08-0.50 μg L-1), accuracy (recovery of 78.0-115.0%) and repeatability (relative standard deviation of 2.9-7.8%). This work provides a sensitive method for analysis of PAEs at trace levels in drinks, which is featured with high sensitivity, simple operation and environmentally-friendly merit and will have a promising potential in analysis of other organic pollutants.Anthocyanin-rich purple highland barley has attracted great attention recently due to its health benefits in humans. check details The composition of the purified anthocyanin extract (PAE) from purple highland barley bran (PHBB) was characterized by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) with a high acylated anthocyanin profile. The X-ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) with Energy Dispersive X-Ray Analysis (EDX) and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) are employed to characterize the synthesized NiFe2O4-rGO nanocomposite. The oxidation peak currents of colorants were obtained by CV and DPV techniques; and as a result, the two linear ranges from 0.05 to 30 μM (R2 = 0.9939) and 30 to 500 μM (R2 = 0.9953) along with LOD of 0.03 μM for Sunset Yellow is obtained. The proposed sensor is successfully applied to determine the Sunset Yellow, Tartrazine and Allura Red in PBS (pH 3). The IL/NiFe2O4/rGO/CPE displays a high performance for analysis of these dyes in hair shampoo and an orange juice as real samples with acceptable results.In this study, a microbiological inhibition method for rapidly screening antibiotics in swine urine was established with an easy sample pre-treatment. The microbiological system consisted of an agar medium mixed with nutrients, sensitizers, a test bacterium (Geobacillus stearothermophilus ATCC12980) and pH indicator (bromocresol purple). It was observed that the detection limits of the test kit for twenty-eight common antimicrobial residues in urine, including β-lactams, aminoglycosides, tetracyclines, sulfonamides, macrolides, and lincosamides, were less than or equal to the maximum residue limits of the kidney, as determined by the EU and China. Additionally, our results were consistent with those using the gold-standard physical chemistry method, which suggest the proposed method is suitable for screening antibiotic residues.This article presents data on carbon (C), nitrogen (N), and sulfur (S) isotopic composition of human hair collected throughout Mexico. The recorded values ranged from -18.3‰ to -12.8‰ for δ13C, 6.8‰ to 10.8‰ for δ15N and from 2.7‰ to 8.0‰ for δ34S. The socioeconomic covariates explored in this study showed, in part strong correlations with the recorded isotope values. Furthermore, these three isotope systems provide records of the dietary preferences and practices and also showed some spatial variation. This study detected geospatial patterning in the δ13C values of hair samples from Mexico as well as significant correlations with socioeconomic factors. No geospatial variation was detected in the δ15N and δ34S values, however, socioeconomic correlations were found. A δ13C isoscape was generated using a GIS approach, which provides a tool to narrow down region-of-origin predictions (in combination with other isotope systems) and to document the travel history of unidentified individuals.

The development of the Single Assessment Numeric Evaluation (SANE) scale has presented clinicians and researchers with a more efficient approach in measuring function. Therefore, it is important to establish the reliability, validity and responsiveness properties of this scale, prior to its application in research and clinic.

To identify, critically appraise and synthesize the reported psychometric properties of the SANE scale in patients with shoulder related pathologies.

Medline, Embase, Scopus and CINAHL databases from inception till February 2019 were searched. Two independent reviewers carried out the systematic electronic searches in each database and screened the retrieved studies and assessed their eligibility.

Randomized/prospective studies, that included patients with shoulder joint related pathologies, that reported on the psychometric properties (reliability, validity, responsiveness) of SANE scale.

The "Quality Appraisal for Clinical Measurement Research Reports Evaluation Form" - a 12-item structured clinical measurement specific appraisal tool was used to assess studies.
