the regulation of TRPA1, TRPV1, TRPV5 channels in both lung and brain tissues.

Siparuna guianensis Aublet leaves, known as negramina, are used by indigenous and local communities in Brazil and other countries in the Americas to treat pain and inflammatory diseases.

To characterize the chemical constituents and to evaluate the antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antinociceptive and locomotor activities of the dichloromethane fraction (DF) of S. guianensis leaves. Also, an acute oral toxicity test was accomplished.

The chemical characterization of DF was performed by ultra-high pressure liquid chromatography (UHPLC) analyses coupled with a high-resolution mass spectrometer. The antioxidant potential of DF was investigated using nitric oxide (NO) and hydroxyl radical (OH) scavenging test. EPZ015666 cost The evaluation study of the anti-inflammatory activity was carried out in vitro by NO measurement in stimulated macrophages and, in vivo, by croton oil-induced ear edema, LPS-induced peritonitis, and zymosan-induced arthritis in mice. Different mechanisms of central and peripheral nociception were stimu by central and peripheral mechanisms. In the tail-flick test, DF showed no activity. Besides that, DF did not affect the animal locomotion, and no acute toxicity was observed.

For the first time, the anti-inflammatory and antinociceptive activities of S. guianensis were reported, supporting its ethnopharmacological uses for some inflammatory diseases and painful conditions.

Traditional Chinese medicine Shuangshen granules (SSG) have been used to treat lung cancer patients with Qi deficiency and blood stasis for decades. According to clinical experience, SSG indeed improve the quality of life and prolong the survival time of patients with lung cancer after surgery. Each of the components herbs was proved to be effective in anti-cancer therapy. Both the American ginseng and notoginseng belong to genus Panax of the family Araliaceae. Preclinical and clinical studies demonstrated that ginsenosides of them have anti- or preventive activities to various tumors, including cancers of gastric, breast, liver, lung, ovarian, colon, melanoma and leukemia. PDS, such as ginsenoside Rb1, and PTS, such as ginsenoside Rg1 are the main anticancer compositions. Cordyceps sinensis had also been found effective in inhibiting tumor growth and metastasis, especially on tumor associated immune cells, such as macorphages. However, limited information is available regarding potential mechanisms of SSG.the bone marrow, blood, and lungs, as well as the expression levels of differentiation-related proteins in the bone marrow and lungs were evaluated.

In the Indian system of medicine, Withania somnifera (L.) Dunal, Hemidesmus indicus (R.Br.), Aegle marmelos (L.) Correa, Emblica officinalis Gaertn, Ocimum sanctum (L.) has been mentioned as a remedy for the treatment of anxiety related disorders. Based on their folklore use, a polyherbal combination was derived for the management of anxiety.

The present study is aimed to find the best polyherbal combination (PHC), in terms of its pharmacological action, out of two PHC, namely PHC1 and PHC3, prepared based on the previous studies conducted and to carry out the pharmacokinetic (PK) study of the best combination (PHC3).

Pharmacological activities include elevated plus maze model and hole-board test for anti-anxiety screening, gamma amino-butyric acid (GABA

) measurement in brain tissues and superoxide dismutase, lipid peroxidation and reduced glutathione measurement for anti-oxidant screening.

PHC3 (100mg/kg) produced statistically significant (p<0.05) effect on all the pharmacological outcome measuhe results of the studies revealed that PHC3 possessed significant anxiolytic, anti-oxidant activities and enhanced expression of GABAA mediated inhibition when compared to PHC1. Withaferin-A in PHC3 exhibited a rapid oral absorption in rat plasma. The findings of this study greatly help to provide useful evidence for the development of suitable formulation using PHC3.

To show laparoscopic management of a symptomatic parasitic leiomyoma of paravesical and obturator fossa.

Edited video demonstrating a step-by-step explanation of the surgical technique of this case.

Uterine leiomyomas are the most common benign pelvic tumors in women. They occur in approximately 25% of women of reproductive age. Parasitic leiomyomas are rare, with few cases reported in the literature [1,2]. They are classified according to their location in relation to the myometrium. Parasitic leiomyomas are in group 8 of the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics classification [3]. It is not clear why they are produced; it is thought that they could derive from subserous leiomyomas that achieved a blood supply from neighboring structures outside the uterus [1,3]. They can also have iatrogenic origin in patients who have undergone previous surgery such as myomectomy with power morcellation use [4]. We present the case of a 32-year-old women, gravida 1 para 1, with of a symptomatic parasitic leiomyoma of the paravesical and obturator fossa was achieved. The importance of knowledge of the pelvic anatomy for the management of this type of case is underlined.
