The study aims to understand the changing context of RACFs and the role of RACF managers in preparing to confront the COVID-19 pandemic and to provide insights into how the use of visual telehealth consultation might be incorporated to assist with managing whatever might arise.
An interpretive descriptive study design was employed, and data were collected using semi-structured interviews conducted via telephone or videoconference. Purposive recruitment targeted clinical managers responsible for the COVID-19 response in RACFs.
RACF clinical managers were invited to discuss their responses to COVID-19 including the management of RACF and staff. Semi-structured interviews explored the COVID-19-related challenges, the response to these challenges and how telehealth might assist in overcoming some of these challenges. This study followed Thorne's (2008) three-stage process of interpretive description. The COREQ checklist was used in preparing this manuscript.
Two main themes were identified. The first themof telehealth and safe practices during COVID-19. Increased awareness of the challenges faced by RACFs during a pandemic provides policymakers with valuable insights for future planning of pandemic responses.

To conduct an integrative review of literature of emergency healthcare workers' perceived preparedness for disaster management.
An integrative literature review using the PRISMA checklist guidelines was conducted to explore physicians, nurses, emergency medical services and allied medical professionals' preparedness for disasters. Literature was searched from 2005, published in the English language and from MEDLINE (PubMed), Google Scholar, EMBASE, PsycINFO, SCOPUS, ProQuest and CINAHL databases. Reviews, case reports, clinical audits, editorials and short communications were excluded. Studies were critically appraised using the Mixed Methods Appraisal Tool.
The initial search yielded 9589 articles. Twenty-seven articles were included following application of the eligiedness. Future research should focus on interventions to improve emergency healthcare workers preparedness for disasters.Plant-derived molecules have enduring usefulness in treating diseases, and herbal drugs have emerged as a vital component of global therapeutic demand. Angelica archangelica L. (A. archangelica), commonly known as garden angelica, is an aromatic food plant used in culinary procedures as a flavoring agent. In the traditional medicine system, it is regarded as an "Angel plant" due to its miraculous curative power. This review aims to provide a comprehensive summary of the plant's taxonomic profile, ethnopharmacology, Phytochemistry, and pharmacological activities. Various in vivo and in vitro experiments have validated that the plant possesses broad pharmacological potential. The biological activities attributed to the plant include anti-anxiety activity, anti-convulsant activity, cognition enhancer, antiviral activity, cholinesterase inhibitory potential, antiinflammatory activity, gastroprotective activity, and radioprotective activity. The beneficial effects of the plant are credited to its bioactive components, that is, coumarins and volatile oils. The review summarizes the pharmacological activities of crude extract and its bioactive fractions and has also explored their target-oriented effects. This review will be of value in undertaking further investigations on the plant with regard to exploring mechanism-based pharmacological approaches on A. archangelica.
To systematically identify, summarise and compare evidence from studies related to the non-pharmacological interventions used to manage pain in patients with dementia. Secondly, this study aims to provide evidence on the effectiveness of non-pharmacological interventions used to manage pain in patients with dementia.
The number of people diagnosed with dementia is rising rapidly in the context of ageing. Pain is considered to be one of the most common neuropsychiatric symptoms of dementia. To date, little research has focused on non-pharmacological interventions to manage pain in patients with dementia. Therefore, a systematic review on the non-pharmacological interventions used to manage pain in patients with dementia and how effective these interventions are, is warranted.
The extensive search strategy included electronic database searches for CINAHL, MEDLINE and PsycINFO from January 2009 to February 2020. A mixed-methods systematic review was undertaken in accordance with the PRISMA statement and reFurther qualitative research is also needed to explore nurses' views on the use of non-pharmacological interventions to manage pain in patients with dementia.This double-blind randomized clinical trial aimed to investigate impact of Cornus mas L. fruit extract (CMFE) on liver function in nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). MEK inhibitor drugs Fifty patients were randomly assigned into the CMFE and placebo groups to receive 20 ml of the extract or placebo for 12 weeks, respectively. Serum alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotransferase, cytokeratin 18 (CK-18) levels, and steatosis and fibrosis scores were examined before and after the intervention. Although, a significant decrease was observed in CK-18 levels among the CMFE group (288.80 ± 85.40 vs. 235.66 ± 60.38; p = .001) after 12 weeks, no significant difference was found between the two groups. Moreover, a significant increase in fibrosis score in the placebo group (8.20 (6.35-9.40) vs. 8.40 (7.70-13.00); p = .03) as well as a significant difference in this marker (CMEF 7.64 (6.30-8.25); placebo 8.40 (7.70-13.00); p = .02) and its changes (CMEF 0.60 (-1.00-1.07); placebo 0.80 (-0.25-3.95); p = .02) were found between the groups after 12 weeks. No significant effect was noted on other variables. Therefore, consuming CMFE might have some beneficial effects on liver function markers in NAFLD. However, more studies are required in this area.
