CONTEXT Inconsistent reporting of effectiveness outcomes in surgical trials of stress urinary incontinence (SUI) has hindered direct comparisons of various surgical treatments for SUI. OBJECTIVE To systematically review the verbatim outcome names, outcome definitions, and tools used to measure the outcomes in surgical trials of SUI in women. EVIDENCE ACQUISITION Trials of women with SUI who have undergone surgical interventions were included. We conducted a systematic review (SR) on outcomes reported in randomized controlled trials of surgical management published in 2014-2019, covering the following databases MEDLINE, EMBASE, CENTRAL, and CDSR. Verbatim outcome names extracted from the included studies were categorized and then grouped into domains using the Williamson-Clarke (W/C) outcome taxonomy. A matrix was also created to visualize and quantify the dimensions of outcome reporting heterogeneity in SUI trials. EVIDENCE SYNTHESIS A total of 844 verbatim outcome names were extracted, of which, 514 varied tin Effectiveness Trials (COMET) and COnsensus-based Standards for the selection of health Measurement INstruments (COSMIN) initiatives, is required. PATIENT SUMMARY In this research, we have highlighted the diversity in outcomes reporting in stress urinary incontinence (SUI) surgical trials and have categorized the outcomes. We support the development of a core outcome set for SUI, which will promote future clinical researchers to measure the same outcome in the same way in all trials. This will, in turn, help researchers summarize the evidence more effectively and aid decision making for patients and doctors. Human placenta-derived mesenchymal stromal cells (hPMSCs) are promising candidates for the treatment of graft-versus-host disease (GVHD), which is associated with high IL-1β levels. In this study, the effects of IL-1β and hPMSCs on each other were investigated by analyzing the proportion of Th1, Th2 and CD4+IL-10+ T cells and PD-L1 expression, as well as the adhesion, migration, and proliferation of hPMSCs. The results showed that hPMSCs decreased IL-1β levels and downregulated Th1/Th2 and Th1/CD4+IL-10+ T cells ratios in the GVHD model. The in vitro results revealed that IL-1β strengthened the hPMSCs capacity to reduce the Th1/Th2 and Th1/CD4+IL-10+ T cell ratios, inhibited the adhesion and proliferation of hPMSCs and increased PD-L1 expression on hPMSCs via the JAK and NF-κB pathways. Overall, these findings suggested that hPMSCs alleviate GVHD by decreasing IL-1β level and maintaining the balance among different T cell subsets. IL-1β enhanced the ability of hPMSCs to balance different T cell subsets and inhibited hPMSCs adhesion and proliferation by regulating PD-L1 expression via the JAK and NF-κB pathways. PURPOSE The purpose of this study was to retrospectively compare the imaging features of hepatic epithelioid angiomyolipoma (HEAML) to those of hepatocellular carcinoma negative for hepatitis B surface antigen and hepatitis C antibody (NBNC-HCC) on contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) with sulphur hexafluoride microbubbles. MATERIAL AND METHODS Twenty-two patients (4 men, 18 women) with a mean age of 42.6±10.2 (SD) years (range 22-63 years) with histopathologically confirmed HEMAL were included in the study. Forty-four patients (30 men, 14 women) with a mean age of 57.3±15.9 years (range 19-85 years) with histopathologically confirmed NBNC-HCC were randomly selected from our institution's database as a control group. The CEUS characteristics of the two groups were compared. click here RESULTS On conventional ultrasound, significant differences in tumor diameter were found between HEAML (4.0±2.0 [SD] cm; range 1.3-8.9cm) and NBNC-HCC (8.4±4.4 [SD] cm; range 1.6-18cm) (P0.999). Homogeneous enhancement was more frequent in HEAMLs (20/22; 90.9%) than in NBNC-HCCs (13/44; 29.6%) (P less then 0.001). Pseudocapsule was observed in 0/22 HEAMLs (0.0%) and in 36/44 NBNC-HCCs (81.8%) (P=0.017). A prolonged enhancement was observed in 5/22 HEAMLs (22.7%) and in 0/44 NBNC-HCCs (0.0%) (P less then 0.001) during the late phase. CONCLUSION CEUS with sulphur hexafluoride microbubbles is helpful in discriminating between HEAML and NBNC-HCC. Homogeneous enhancement and lack of pseudocapsule are suggestive features for the diagnosis of HEAML. COVID-19 is a novel coronavirus that was reported by the world health organization in late December 2019. As an unexplained respiratory disease epidemic, which is similar to respiratory syndrome coronavirus SARS-CoV, it rapidly spread all over the world. The study aims to compare several parameters of COVID-19 and SARS-CoV infectious diseases in terms of incidence, mortality, and recovery rates. The publicly available dataset Worldometer (extracted on April 5, 2020) confirmed by WHO report was available for meta-analysis purposes using the Meta-MUMS tool. And, the reported outcomes of the analysis used a random-effects model to evaluate the event rate, and risk ratios thorough subgroup analysis forest plots. Seventeen countries for COVID-19 and eight countries of SARS infections, including COVID-19 group n = 1124243, and SARS-CoV group n = 8346, were analyzed. In this meta-analysis, a random effect model of relations of incidence, mortality, and recovery rates of COVID-19 and SARS world infections were determined. The meta-analysis and forest plots of two viral world infections showed that the incidence rate of COVID-19 infection is more than SARS infections, while recovery and mortality event rates of SARS-CoV are more than COVID-19 infection. And subgroup analysis showed that the mortality and recovery rates were higher in both SARS-CoV wand COVID-19 in comparison to incidence and mortality rates, respectively. In conclusion, the meta-analysis approach on the abovementioned dataset revealed the epidemiological and statistical analyses for comparing COVID-19 and SARS-CoV outbreaks. STATEMENT OF PROBLEM The triple-scan method for assessing the 3D adaptation of dental restorations has been introduced and reported to be reliable. However, the suitability of using a dental laboratory scanner in the triple-scan method has not been evaluated. PURPOSE The purpose of this in vitro study was to evaluate the suitability of the triple-scan method using a dental laboratory scanner to assess the 3D adaptation zirconia crowns. MATERIAL AND METHODS A zirconia abutment and a zirconia crown were fabricated, and the abutment was fixed in a custom-made base. The crown was seated onto the abutment with the interposition of light-body silicone impression material between them. The triple-scan method was performed by using a dental laboratory scanner, and the mean cement-gap thickness was calculated. The seating and digitalization process was repeated 10 times, and after each digitalization, the light-body silicone layer was stabilized by applying heavy-body silicone impression material over it. Cement-gap thickness was measured on cross-sections of the aligned scan data sets and of the physical silicone replica.
