The prognosis of mucinous adenocarcinoma (MAC) and non-mucinous adenocarcinoma (NMAC) in colorectal cancer (CRC) is controversial, and the molecular differences between them are unclear.
Between 2000 and 2010, a total of 1,483 CRC patients were included. Among them, 73 patients (4.9%) were diagnosed with MAC. The clinicopathological features and genetic alterations were compared between MAC and NMAC.
After propensity score matching to balance age and sex between MAC and NMAC patients, 292 CRC patients (73 MAC and 219 NMAC) were enrolled in the analysis at a 13 ratio. In right-sided colon cancer, patients with MAC were more likely to have Borrmann types 3 and 4 tumors, poor differentiation, and advanced T category and tumor, node, metastasis (TNM) stage, chemotherapy, and a similar 5-year overall survival (OS) rate compared with patients with NMAC. In left-sided colon cancer and rectal cancer, patients with MAC were more likely to have Borrmann types 3 and 4 tumors, poor differentiation, lymphovascular invasion, advanced T and N categories and TNM stages, chemotherapy, and a worse 5-year OS rate than patients with NMAC. Regarding genetic alterations, for NMAC, right-sided colon cancer had more
mutations than left-sided colon cancer and rectal cancer. For MAC, right-sided colon cancer was associated with more microsatellite instability-high tumors and more
mutations than left-sided colon cancer and rectal cancer.
The genetic alterations are distinct between MAC and NMAC in CRC. Tumor location may have an impact on genetic alterations and patient prognosis in MAC and NMAC.

Ferroptosis is essential for tumorigenesis and progression of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Metabolism inhibitor The heterogeneity of ferroptosis and its relationship with tumor microenvironment (TME) have still remain elusive.
Based on 74 ferroptosis related genes (FRGs) and 3,933 HCC samples from 32 datasets, we comprehensively explored the heterogenous ferroptosis subtypes. The clinical significance, functional status, immune infiltration, immune escape mechanisms, and genomic alterations of different subtypes were further investigated.
We identified and validated two heterogeneous ferroptosis subtypes C1 was metabolism

subtype and C2 was metabolism

subtype. Compared to C2, C1 owned worse prognosis, and C1 tended to occur in the patients with clinical characteristics such as younger, female, advanced stage, higher grade, vascular invasion. C1 and C2 were more sensitive to immunotherapy and sorafenib, respectively. The immune escape mechanisms of C1 might be accumulating more immunosuppressive ce precise therapy of HCC.The multidrug-resistant (MDR) phenotype is usually accompanied by an abnormal expression of histone deacetylase (HDAC). Given that HDAC is vital in chromatin remodeling and epigenetics, inhibiting the role of HDAC has become an important approach for tumor treatment. However, the effect of HDAC inhibitors on MDR breast cancer has not been elucidated. This study aim to demonstrate the potential of chidamide (CHI) combined with the chemotherapy drug doxorubicin (DOX) to overcome chemotherapeutic resistance of breast cancer in vitro and in vivo, laying the experimental foundation for the next clinical application. The results showed that, CHI combined with DOX showed significant cytotoxicity to MDR breast cancer cells in vitro and in vivo compared with the CHI monotherapy. The cell cycle distribution results showed that CHI caused G0/G1 cell cycle arrest and inhibited cell growth regardless of the addition of DOX. At the same time, annexin V staining and TUNEL staining results showed that CHI enhanced the number of cell apoptosis in drug-resistant cells. The western blot analysis found that p53 was activated in the CHI-treated group and combined treatment group, and then the activated p53 up-regulated p21, apoptosis regulator recombinant protein (Puma), and pro-apoptotic protein Bax, down-regulated the apoptotic proteins Bcl-xL and Bcl-2, and activated the caspase cascade to induce apoptosis.
To evaluate the potential of a clinical-based model, a multiparametric ultrasound-based radiomics model, and a clinical-radiomics combined model for predicting prostate cancer (PCa).
A total of 112 patients with prostate lesions were included in this retrospective study. Among them, 58 patients had no prostate cancer detected by biopsy and 54 patients had prostate cancer. Clinical risk factors related to PCa (age, prostate volume, serum PSA,
.) were collected in all patients. Prior to surgery, patients received transrectal ultrasound (TRUS), shear-wave elastography (SWE) and TRUS-guided prostate biopsy. We used the five-fold cross-validation method to verify the results of training and validation sets of different models. The images were manually delineated and registered. All modes of ultrasound radiomics were retrieved. Machine learning used the pathology of "12+X" biopsy as a reference to draw the benign and malignant regions of interest (ROI) through the application of LASSO regression. Three modelsnical risk factors or radiomics score associated with PCa.
Clinical-radiomics combined model can improve the accuracy of PCa predictions both in terms of diagnostic performance and clinical net benefit, compared with evaluating only clinical risk factors or radiomics score associated with PCa.NEAT1 (nuclear paraspeckle assembly transcript 1) is an oncogenic long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) that facilitates tumorigenesis in multiple cancers. In papillary thyroid cancer (PTC), the molecular mechanism by which NEAT1 affects invasion and metastasis remains elusive. RNA sequencing was used to discover differentially expressed NEAT1_2 downstream genes. Protein and RNA expression analyses and immunohistochemistry detected the expression of NEAT1_2, Transglutaminase 2 (TGM2), and microRNA-491 (miR-491) among PTC and non-cancerous tissues. Transwell and wound healing assays, and a mouse model of lung metastasis were used for further functional analyses. Bioinformatics was performed to predict miRNAs binding to both NEAT1_2 and TGM2. Rescue experiments and dual-luciferase reporter assays were performed. In PTC tissues, NEAT1_2 expression was markedly increased and regulated TGM2 expression. TGM2 was overexpressed in PTC, correlating positively with exthyroidal extension and lymph node metastasis. TGM2 knockdown significantly inhibited invasion and metastasis.
