The clinical significance of accessory obturator, aberrant vessels and CMOR is delineated in oncogynecological and urogynecological surgery.
The aim of this study was to clarify the morphologic and morphometric characteristics of the adductor minimus (AMi) and to observe its topographic relationships relative to the adjacent anatomical structures.
This study investigated 54 thighs of 27 Korean cadavers.
The AMi was a small and flat muscle observed in 94.4% of the specimens. It originated from the inferior ramus of the pubis as the upper part of the adductor magnus (AMa), and inserted from the lesser trochanter to the upper part of the linea aspera. The AMi was completely separate from the AMa in 63.0% of the specimens. The medial circumflex femoral artery was always found at the superior border of the AMi, while the first and second perforating arteries were found inferior to the muscle in 55.6% and 37.0% of specimens, respectively. A supernumerary muscle (SM) was found with the AMi in 42.6% of the specimens, and it originated from the inferior ramus of the pubis and inserted into the posterior side of the lesser trochanter. see more The obturator externus and AMi were found superoposterior and inferior to the SM, respectively, while the posterior branch of the obturator nerve passed underneath it.
The results of this study may provide physicians with the accurate anatomical knowledge that they require for managing groin pain and applying a regional nerve block with ultrasound guidance in this adductor region.

The aim of this study is to evaluate the relationship between the third molars which are determined to be closely related to pterygomaxillary fissure in cephalometric images.
The material of this study was panoramic from 200 individuals (101 men, 99 women, mean age 19.02 ± 1.62) with three different skeletal malocclusion in the sagittal direction (Class I, 95; Class II, 85; Class III, 20). and lateral cephalometric radiographs. In the individuals included in the study, the maxillary third molar teeth are impacted unilaterally (n = 121) or bilaterally (n = 49). Angular and millimetric measurements (SNA°, SNB° , ANB°, Ptm [Height-x], Ptm [Width-y]) were made in accordance with the parameters determined on the lateral cephalometric radiographs of individuals. In this retrospective study, the relation of impaction with pterygomaxillary fissure evaluated on cephalometric radiographs, whether the impaction was unilateral or bilateral, was investigated in terms of skeletal anomaly. Mann-Whitney U analysis comparis not affected by pterygomaxillary fissure change.
The fact that the third molar teeth are impacted bilaterally or unilaterally is not affected by pterygomaxillary fissure change.
Pterion is the junction of the frontal, parietal, greater wing of the sphenoid and the squamous part of the temporal bone. The sphenoparietal, frontotemporal, stellate and epipteric pteria were described. The current study determines pterion topography, morphology (variant types' frequency) and morphometry, as well as epipteric bones presence in dried skulls. Gender impact is underlined as well.
Ninety Greek adult dried skulls were observed. The distances in between pterion and the zygomatic arch midpoint and in between pterion and the frontozygomatic suture were measured.
The sphenoparietal pterion was the commonest (58.3%), following by the stellate (25%), epipteric (15.5%) and by the frontotemporal pterion (1.1%). Twenty-eight skulls (15.5%) had epipteric bones, further categorized as quadrisutural (35.7%), trisutural (57.1%), bisutural and multiple (3.57%). The mean distances between pterion and the midpoint of zygomatic arch were 4.13+0.45cm on the right and 4.09 + 0.47cm on the left side and between pterion and the frontozygomatic suture were 3.47 + 0.61 cm on the right and 3.52 + 0.65 cm on the left. Both distances were symmetrical. Male skulls showed slightly higher values on the left side for the distance pterion and midpoint of zygomatic arch.
Pterion is a commonly used neurosurgical landmark and thus in depth knowledge of the pteric area and its variants could be valuable. Recognition of the possible variability in pterion location, morphology and morphometry, as well as possible occurrence of epipteric bones may render pterional craniotomy safer among different population groups.

This results in a lack of effective cancer immunotherapy without adverse events, and in the lack of long-lasting cancer immune prophylaxes, particularly in ovarian cancers. Elimination of blood auto-antibodies blocking anti-cancer T cell effectors by intermittent moderate doses of cyclophosphamide, facilitation of the immune system reactivity against alloantigens of cancer cells by two subsequent blood transfusions, and augmentation of anticancer immunity by weekly intradermal injections of bacterial toxins, caused during the subsequent treatment-free period, lasting for two to four weeks, regression of inoperable epithelial ovarian cancers and regeneration of the tremendously metastatically altered abdominal tissues into normal healthy conditions without multivisceral cytoreductive surgery, which can result in life-threatening consequences. An otherwise untreated rectal cancer, progressing over 3 years, regressed after severe toxic dermatitis lasting over one week. This was caused by an accidental consumption of a large raw shiitake mushroom. Subsequent daily consumptions of 2 g Metformin ER and honeybee propolis ethanol extract, and weekly single larger raw shiitake mushroom, which all stimulate immune system reactivity against cancer stem cells, prevented malignant recurrence over the next 29 years without recurring dermatitis, and maintained healthy organism's conditions. These observations indicate that regression of advanced inoperable cancers and long-lasting cancer immune prophylaxis can be reached by simple approaches.
