Inguinal endometriosis (IEM) is a rare extra pelvic endometriosis. Here, we study the clinical characteristics, management strategies, and long-term gynecological outcomes of IEM patients at Beijing Chaoyang Hospital.
Three patients presented with a total of four lesions (one on the left side, one on the right side, and one bilaterally). The diameters of the four lesions were 2cm, 2cm, 3.5cm and 1.5cm, respectively. Two patients were admitted with inguinal hernias. Two patients were admitted with endometrioses-one with ovarian endometriosis and one with pelvic endometriosis. The hernia sac was repaired concomitantly via excision of the round ligament in two patients. One patient underwent a concomitant laparoscopy for gynecologic evaluations, including an ablation to the peritoneal endometriosis, and resection of the left uterosacral ligament endometriosis and pelvic adhesiolysis. All lesions were located on the extraperitoneal portion of the round ligament and were diagnosed histologically. No recurrence was observed in the inguinal region. All patients diagnosed with adenomyosis were treated with medication alone without any complaints.

Clinical management should be individualized and performed in tandem with general practitioners and obstetrics & gynecology experts. Serratiopeptidase has been clinically used in controlling surgical and non-surgical inflammatory conditions. This study was conducted to assess the therapeutic effect of Serratiopeptidase in patients undergoing surgical removal of impacted mandibular third molar.
This randomized clinical trial investigated the efficacy of Serratiopeptidase and Paracetamol after surgical removal of impacted third molar for 5days (n = 67) as compared with an equivalent dose ofplacebo and Paracetamol (n = 66). Outcome measures were reported pain, trismus and swelling using Laskin method. All outcome measures were recorded on days 0, 1, 2, 4, and 5 post-surgeries.
In this clinical trail 133 patients (mean age 23years, 54% female) completed the study. Baseline characteristics were comparable across treatment groups. Serratiopeptidase significantly improved trismus compared with control on the 4
day (27.30 ± 7.3mm and 32.06 ± 7.7mm, respectively (P < 0.001) Swelling markedly improved, The distance from the lower edge of the earlobe to the midpoint of the symphysis for cases vs control were 111.49 ± 8.1mm and 115.39 ± 9.9mm, respectively (P < 0.001). check details Reported pain, showed no statistical significance difference.
Serratiopeptidase resulted in better inflammation improvement than placebo over 5days. Further studies are warranted to assess longer-term and clinical outcomes, as well as safety.

Linalool, an acyclic monoterpene alcohol, is extensively used in the flavor and fragrance industries and exists as two enantiomers, (S)- and (R)-linalool, which have different odors and biological properties. Linalool extraction from natural plant tissues suffers from low product yield. Although linalool can also be chemically synthesized, its enantioselective production is difficult. Microbial production of terpenes has recently emerged as a novel, environmental-friendly alternative. Stereoselective production can also be achieved using this approach via enzymatic reactions. We previously succeeded in producing enantiopure (S)-linalool using a metabolically engineered Pantoea ananatis, a member of the Enterobacteriaceae family of bacteria, via the heterologous mevalonate pathway with the highest linalool titer ever reported from engineered microbes.
Here, we genetically modified a previously developed P. ananatis strain expressing the (S)-linalool synthase (AaLINS) from Actinidia arguta to further improvmetabolically engineered P. ananatis strain as a platform for economically feasible (S)-linalool production and provides insights into the stereoselective production of terpenes with high efficiency. This system is an environmentally friendly and economically valuable (S)-linalool production alternative. Mass production of enantiopure (S)-linalool can also lead to accurate assessment of its biological properties by providing an enantiopure substrate for study.
