Hook Deadlock
A Hook Deadlock is an extra lock that can be fitted to a vehicle door and operates independently of the manufacturer's locking mechanism. It is operated with the use of a key and provides an extra layer of security to stop "Peel and Steal" crimes. These locks are affordable and can make your vehicle less attractive to criminals. However, they are not 100% foolproof and should be utilized in conjunction with other van security items such as Anti Peel brackets etc.
Each lock is a unique version of the traditional deadlocks, and is specifically made to fit the particular model and make of the doors of the vehicle. They work by throwing an hook-style bolt into a bracket attached to the interior bodywork of the vehicle. The bolt is snared and latches onto the bracket, which prevents it from being bent or peeled. This is a good way to protect vans from burglaries.
These locks are easy to install and can be put in both the cab door and rear load area. They are also more attractive than van locks that are fitted externally with a sleek euro-cylinder at the front and an escutcheon around it.
They can be set in deadlock mode which makes it much more difficult for thieves to take your tools and valuables. Deadlocks are more suitable for people who don't need to access their van often and want a higher level of security.
The most popular hook locks are those mounted on the cab as well as rear doors. These locks are an excellent way to protect your tools and valuables from theft. They can also be combined with other van security accessories such as anti-peel brackets. Our fitters are fully certified and insured. We offer a nationwide installation service. Slam Lock
A Slamlock is a van security system that locks your vehicle's doors when you shut them. The slam lock prevents opportunistic van thieves from taking advantage of any mistake made by drivers who forget to close their van's doors manually in the midst of a rush. It also serves as a deterrent to any criminals who might be looking to commit.
A commercial slamlock integrates with the locks of your van manufacturer to lock the doors automatically every time they close. This is a great option for couriers and multi-drop drivers who are usually on the go and have a lot to complete. It saves them from the need to use keys to lock their vehicles each time.
Once a slam lock is installed, all you have to do is press the handle downwards to activate the lock and then slam the door shut. Then, you can open the door with your key, which means you can keep your items and tools secure while you're on the job. However, if you are seeking the best in van security, then you should consider deadlocks as well. This is because they offer a superior level of protection since they require more physical effort to penetrate and are more difficult to break into.
Both types of locks have their own benefits The best lock for you will depend on the way you use your van. A slam lock is great for those who frequently use the back of their vehicles, such as couriers and multi-drop drivers, and are more concerned about the security of their belongings when traveling. A deadlock on the other hand is ideal for those who are more likely to leave their van unattended for the night and want a reliable lock that will give them peace of mind.

Statement Lock
The lock is designed to be mounted externally on the doors of commercial vehicles (trucks & vans) offering an evident deterrent and a higher level of security. It is independent of the locking system of the manufacturer and can be used alongside other anti theft devices.
The LOCK TABLE command creates shared locks on all tables referenced in the table specification. If the table is a view it also creates shared locks on all base tables underlying the view table. The LOCK TABLE command can be used to lock all tables in the database, a particular table, or just a single row in a table. If only the table name is specified after the table's name and the table name is specified, only the table specified will be locked. If a row_spec> is set only the row in the table that is indicated by the key values or position in a results table is locked.
A ROW-EXCLUSIVE lock blocks simultaneous data modifications from modifying and deleting rows from the table. This lock mode is acquired by using UPDATE, DELETE INSERT, MERGE, and VACUUM statements. It can also be acquired through ANALYZE, CREATE INDEX CONCURRENTLY and certain ALTER TABLE and VIEW statements.
When a lock has been set to ROW EXCLUSIVE, all updates and deletions must be completed before the lock owner releases the lock. This will prevent deadlocks between concurrent sessions that alter the row.
If a transaction is using a ROW-EXCLUSIVE lock mode and another session attempts to update the identical rows, the first transaction will encounter an error message that states the key is duplicate. The second session will need wait until the current transaction has been committed or reversed before it can gain a ROW SHARE lock on the row.
The lock mode ROW SHARED is acquired by UPDATE, INSERT DELETE, MERGE, and UPDATE statements. This lock mode can also be obtained through ANALYZE statements CREATE statistis, and commenting on. This lock mode protects a table against simultaneous schema changes and VACUUM runs.
The LOCK TABLE WITH HOLD clause lets you to create an execution lock for the specific procedure for a specific duration of time. If another program attempts to run the same protocol within the same connection, the program is stopped until the lock on execution is removed.
Anti Peel Kit
The "peel and steal" attack is a frequent method used by thieves to break into vans, by using force to break open the doors on the sides of the vehicle. In this type of attack, thieves leverage weight and apply pressure to weak spots on the doors of your van to peel them back, allowing them to gain access to tools and equipment in the cargo area. There are solutions for this issue, like the L4V Anti-Peel Kit. This armoured bracket improves the resistance of your side-load door to this type attack. Independent testing has demonstrated that it can increase your van doors' strength by up to 300%.
Designed to fit easily and securely onto the door skin of your van The anti-peel kits are constructed from sturdy materials that are able to withstand repeated attacks. They can be used as a stand-alone security option or in conjunction with other security measures, such as hook locks. When used together the physical security offered by the anti-peel kit as well as the added protection of a hook lock make it difficult for thieves to gain entry into your van.
A new variant on this product is the L4V Anti-Peel and High Hook Lock Combination, which offers both the anti-peel plate and hook lock that is high-mounted in one. It's a great way to reduce the risk that vans will be taken through 'peel-and-steal' robbery attacks.
