l parameters, bp-MRI data, and information on systematic biopsies. This may be greatly beneficial to urologists in the decision-making process for PCa patients.

Breast cancer is a serious threat to human health. It is meaningful to study the pathogenesis of breast cancer. lncRNAs have been found to play vital roles in numerous biological processes including development, immunology and cancer.

qRT-PCR was performed to examine the expressions of PART1 and miR-4516. CCK-8 assay, colony formation assay and transwell assay were used to examine the progression of breast cancer cells.

In this study, we showed that lncRNA PART1 was highly expressed in breast cancer cells. Knockdown of PART1 induced decreased proliferation, invasion and migration of breast cancer cells. Moreover, we found that PART1 can bind to miR-4516 directly. We also found that inhibition of miR-4516 could rescue the decreased proliferation, migration and invasion of breast cancer cells induced by knockdown of PART1.

lncRNA PART1 and miR-4516 were proven to be involved in the progression of many cancers. However, the roles of lncRNA PART1 and miR-4516 in the regulation of breast cancer remain unknown. Here, we demonstrated that PART1 can bind to miR-4516 to decrease the expression of miR-4516 and promote the development of breast cancer.

The surgical or endoscopic resection is the current treatment modality for 2-5 cm gastric gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs). However, evidence is lacking as to which treatment modality is better. Our objective is to provide a new reference for the standardization of the treatment of 2-5 cm gastric GISTs.

A retrospective study was conducted on 177 patients who underwent resection for 2-5cm gastric GISTs between January 2007 and July 2019 at Xiangya Hospital of Central South University. The cases were divided into surgical group (n=118) and endoscopic group (n=59). The clinical data, pathological and genetic characteristics, short- and long-term outcomes were compared.

Symptoms showed more obvious in the surgical group including abdominal pain and bleeding. In the endoscopic group, tumor size was smaller (p<0.001), and risk classification was lower (p<0.001). Patients in the endoscopic group had shorter anal exhaust time (p<0.001) and lesser hospital cost (p<0.001). However, the incidence rate of complications (25.42 vs 4.20%; p<0.001) and reoperation (22.03 vs 0.00%; p<0.001) in the endoscopic group was relatively higher than these in the surgical group. There was no significant difference in recurrence-free survival or overall survival between two groups.

Gastric GISTs of 2-5cm may be suitable to select laparoscopic surgery.

Radical cystectomy (RC) is the primary treatment strategy for patients with muscular invasive bladder cancer (MIBC). However, the prognosis is poor and tumor recurrence is not rare, in particular, urethral recurrence (UR) in male patients who underwent RC combined with urinary diversion. Here, we have developed and validated a model for predicting UR in these patients.

The development cohort comprised 310 patients who underwent RC combined with urinary diversion at our center between 1 January 2007 and 31 December 2015. Clinicopathologic data of patients were comprehensively recorded. Multivariate Cox proportional hazard regression was used for building a predictive model with regression coefficients and backward stepwise selection applied by utilizing the likelihood ratio test with Akaike's information criterion as the stopping rule. An independent cohort consisting of 131 consecutive patients treated from 1 January 2016 to 31 December 2017 was used for validation. The performance of this predictive model was assessed with respect to discrimination, calibration, and clinical usefulness.

The predictors of this model included body mass index, history of transurethral resection of bladder tumor, tumor grade, tumor stage, and concomitant carcinoma in situ. In the validation cohort, the model showed good discrimination with a concordance index of 0.777 (95% CI, 0.618 to 0.937) and calibration. Decision curve analysis also demonstrated the clinical utility of the model.

The predictive model facilitated postoperative individualized prediction of UR in male patients with MIBC after RC combined with urinary diversion and it may therefore serve to improve follow-up strategies.

Hypoxia has been shown to induce the malignant progression of cancer, including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Circular RNA (circRNA) is considered to be an important regulator of cancer progression. However, the role of a newly discovered circRNA, circ_0000376, in the progression of NSCLC is unclear.

The relative expression levels of circ_0000376, miR-1182 and neuro-oncological ventral antigen 2 (NOVA2) were detected via quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR). Glucose consumption and lactate production were determined using Glucose Assay Kit and Lactate Assay Kit, respectively. MTX-531 purchase Moreover, the protein levels of glycolysis markers and NOVA2 were measured using Western blot (WB) analysis. Furthermore, 3-(4, 5-dimethyl-2 thiazolyl)-2, 5-diphenyl-2-H-tetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay was performed to assess cell viability, and transwell assay was employed to evaluate cell migration and invasion. The interaction between miR-1182 and circ_0000376 or NOVA2 was confirmed by dual-luciferase rinhibited the NSCLC tumor growth via regulating the miR-1182 and NOVA2 expression in vivo.

Circ_0000376 promoted NSCLC progression by regulating the miR-1182/NOVA2 axis, suggesting that circ_0000376 might be a potential biomarker for NSCLC treatment.
