l or mental health of community-dwelling older adults. There were few studies, and the certainty of the evidence is very low to low, mainly due to inconsistency in findings and imprecision. Future studies should consider interventions aimed at modifying the environment, policy, and social and cultural norms. Future studies should also use device-based measures of sedentary time, recruit larger samples, and gather information about quality of life, cost-effectiveness, and adverse event data.Regenerative/revitalisation endodontic techniques are increasingly used as a treatment approach for the management of immature permanent teeth with necrotic pulps. Different chemical irrigants and medicaments are routinely used clinically for intra-canal disinfection. However, despite remarkable progress in this field, coronal discolouration, cell cytotoxicity, difficulty of removal of organic biofilm from the root canal, development of sensitisation and antimicrobial resistance are still challenges to this line of treatment. This review critically discusses and challenges the current status quo of antimicrobials used in regenerative endodontics and sheds the light on future alternative antimicrobial materials with regenerative potential. The renaissance of psychedelics has accelerated further over the past year. At least that's true if you follow the public press. The New York Times recently titled "The Psychedelic Revolution Is Coming. Psychiatry May Never Be the Same." on its front page 1.

Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) are considered the highest level of evidence to inform clinical practice. However, the reproducibility crisis has raised concerns about the scientific rigor of published RCT findings. Some advocate for a lower

-value threshold. We aimed to review published OB/Gyn topical RCTs in three representative OB/Gyn journals and three high impact non-OB/Gyn journals to determine if their interpretations would change with adoption of a

-value threshold for significance of 0.005. Secondarily, we evaluated if there were differences in methodologic characteristics between those that did and did not lose significance.

A manual search was performed to identify all OB/Gyn RCTs published in the selected journals between July 2017 and June 2019. Data were collected on primary outcome(s), methodology, and

-values. We determined the proportion of primary outcomes that would remain statistically significant with adoption of a

-value significance threshold of 0.005 versus be reinterHighly variable methodological quality was identified.

Ultrasound examination and subtraction scintigraphy are usually the first-line imaging techniques. When these results are negative or inconsistent, additional [11C]-methionine PET/CT (MET-PET/CT) or 4-dimensional computed tomography can be performed. This study aims to evaluate MET-PET/CT in comparison with other imaging techniques in primary hyperparathyroidism. This is a retrospective cohort study. Eighty-four patients with primary hyperparathyroidism, who underwent parathyroid surgery, were included. Imaging results have been correlated to the perioperative drop in parathyroid hormone level and to the pathological analysis. Descriptive statistics are used, supplemented with 95% Clopper-Pearson confidence intervals for sensitivity and specificity and a sub-analysis with the McNemar test on paired data only. The per-lesion sensitivity of MET-PET/CT seems higher than that of [99mTc]-sestamibi or [99mTc]-tetrofosmin and [99mTc]-pertechnetatema.The aim of the study was to investigate the association of adipokines (resistin, leptin and adiponectin) with obesity, insulin resistance (IR) and inflammation in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). A total of 284 patients with T2DM were included. Concentrations of resistin, leptin, adiponectin, and inflammatory markers [high sensitivity C-reactive protein (hsCRP), tumor necrosis factor α (TNF-α), and interleukin 6 (IL-6)] were measured and homeostatic model assessment for IR (HOMA-IR) index was calculated. Resistin correlated negatively with estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) and positively with hsCRP, TNF-α, IL-6, and white blood cell count (WBC). Leptin correlated positively with HOMA-IR, whereas adiponectin correlated negatively. Leptin also correlated positively with body mass index (BMI), waist circumference, IL-6, WBC and negatively with eGFR. Adiponectin correlated negatively with waist circumference, WBC, and eGFR. U18 Multivariate logistic regression indicated lower eGFR and higher WBC and IL-6 as independent predictive factors of resistin concentration above the upper quartile (CAQ3), whereas female sex and higher BMI and HOMA-IR of leptin CAQ3, and lower HOMA-IR and older age of adiponectin CAQ3. In conclusion, in contrast to leptin and adiponectin, in T2DM patients, resistin is not associated with BMI and IR, but with inflammation and worse kidney function.Atypical mycobacterial panniculitis was diagnosed in a cat. Mycobacterium setense was identified as causative agent by 16 S rRNA gene sequence analysis. This a gram-positive rod-shaped acid-fast bacterium belonging to Mycobacterium fortuitum group was never reported before in diseased animals. Resistance to doxycycline and clarithromycin was detected. During treatment with pradofloxacin, additional resistance to fluoroquinolones developed which was due to a mutation in the gyrase gene gyrA (S90W exchange). Despite of antimicrobial treatment for 33 months the patient did not fully recover. Species identification and susceptibility testing for choosing adequate antimicrobial treatment is recommended in cases of feline mycobacterial panniculitis.
