Our study hypothesizes that the fear and panic of COVID-19 triggers cyberchondria (CYB) in students thus increasing health anxiety. In this way, we aim to determine the effect of the belief of previously having had and not having had COVID-19 on health anxiety and CYB levels of the university students.

Our study is a descriptive cross-sectional study. The target population of our study consisted of 950 students who were continuing their education in the Vocational School of Health Services, an associate degree program of a university, and the samples consisted of 794 students (85.5%) who filled out our questionnaire (n = 794). The questionnaire form included the information regarding sociodemographic characteristics and the symptoms of COVID-19, and the obtained data were electronically collected altogether with Cyberchondria Scale (CS) and Health Anxiety Inventory.

Health anxiety mean scores were significantly higher in people who lived alone, had a chronic disease, searched for symptoms online, and took herbal supplements against COVID-19 (p < 0.05). The mean total scores of Health Anxiety Inventory, CS, Anxiety-Increasing Factors Subscale of the students who believe they have had COVID-19 were significantly lower compared to the scores of those who believe they have not had COVID-19. Nevertheless, women and people living alone and in cities had significantly high CS scores (p < 0.05).

The increase in infodemia can be prevented with the services offered by specialists through mental health helpline or websites to people with high health anxiety or CYB levels, especially to women, and to people living alone and in urban areas.

This study aims to compare the anxiety levels of COVID-19 patients, individuals under quarantine, and healthy individuals in society.

This cross-sectional study was conducted from May 25, 2020 to June 25, 2020 in a city located in the northwest of Turkey. The data were collected using a personal information form, the Beck Anxiety Scale, administered in face-to-face interviews, and online questionnaires. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Kruskal-Wallis, Mann-Whitney U, and logistic regression analyses.

The anxiety level of individuals under quarantine (Median min-max = 1 0-55) was significantly lower statistically compared to that of the rest of the society (Median min-max = 6 0-63) and hospitalized COVID-19 patients (Median min-max = 5 0-42) (p = 0.0001). Relacorilant Female gender, being 61 years of age and older, having psychiatric and chronic illnesses, and experiencing disrupted sleep patterns were determined to be the factors associated with high levels of anxiety.

This study found that soco these groups.

The aim of this work is to investigate the biological effects of IQOS smoking on human gingival fibroblasts and human keratinocytes analysing cell viability, morphology, migration, apoptosis and cell cycle.

Electronic cigarettes and tobacco heating systems have been marketed to reduce smoking damages caused by combustion.

Human gingival fibroblasts and human keratinocytes viability was determined by a colorimetric assay measuring mitochondrial dehydrogenase activity (MTT assay); after an in vitro exposure of 24h, cell morphology was analysed with scanning electron microscope and cell migration was tested by Scratch assay, a method to mimic the migration of the cells during wound healing in vivo. Apoptosis and cell cycle were analysed with flow cytometry, and the expression of related genes (p53, Bcl2, p16 and p21) was indagated using real-time polymerase chain reaction.

IQOS extracts increased both cell viability (23%-41% with fibroblasts and 30%-79% with keratinocytes) and migration. No morphologicaluced by IQOS devices must be carefully investigated for its possible clinical effects on oral cell populations.Gelation properties of myofibrillar protein (MP)/wheat gluten (WG) induced by glutamine transaminase (TGase) were studied. Results showed that the inclusion of transglutaminase increased the gel strength, water-holding capacity (WHC), and nonfreezable water (Wnf) of MP/WG mixture. Circular dichroism (CD) analysis showed that the β-sheet and random coil content of the MP/WG treated with TGase addition increased by 12.1% and 3.7%, while the α-helix and β-turn content decreased by 14.2% and 1.8%. Rheological measurements showed that TGase induced higher energy storage modulus value during the MP/WG gel heating-cooling cycle. the hydrogen bond and hydrophobic interaction content of the MP/WG gels increased by 80 and 120 ug/L, and the disulfide bond decreased by 200 ug/L, with TGase addition was increased from 0 to 120 U/g protein. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) showed that MP/WG gel with TGase had uniform and dense network structure. PRACTICAL APPLICATION The properties of myofibrillar/wheat gluten gel induced by TGase crosslinking was studied. The gel structure and water holding capacity of MP/WG were improved by the cross-linking of TGase. The study of the gel properties of MP/WG induced by TGase crosslinking also can provide a theoretical basis for analyzing the effect of TGase on the application of gluten protein in complex meat emulsion system.

Primary cutaneous lymphomas comprise a heterogeneous group of B and T cell malignancies which often show an indolent course, but can progress to aggressive disease in a subset of patients. Diagnosis is often delayed due to clinical and histopathological similarities with benign inflammatory conditions. Especially during early disease, cancer cells are present at relatively low percentages in comparison to the inflammatory infiltrate, an interplay that is currently only insufficiently understood.

To improve diagnostics and perform molecular characterization of a complex type of primary cutaneous lymphoma.

Single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) combined with T and B cell receptor sequencing.

We were able to diagnose a patient with concurrent mycosis fungoides (MF) and primary cutaneous follicle center lymphoma (PCFCL), appearing in mutually exclusive skin lesions. Profiling of tumor cells and the tissue microenvironment revealed a type-2 immune skewing in MF, most likely guided by the expanded clone that also harbored upregulation of numerous pro-oncogenic genes.
