65; 95 % CI 1.03-2.64). None of the beverages was associated with risk of breast or colorectal cancer.
We conclude that, in this cohort, relatively high SCB intake was associated with higher risk of endometrial and ovarian cancers, but not of breast or colorectal cancers. Our findings also suggest that relatively high SSB and fruit juice intake are associated with higher risk of Type 1 endometrial cancer.

Despite overall striking advances in survival of childhood liver tumors, outcomes remain poor for specific patient segments. We aimed to assess overall survival (OS) of this rare disease and evaluate the generalizability of prognostic variables included in international collaborative systems using, for the first time, harmonized clinical data from two geographically different cohorts (Greece and Moscow).
Data for children (0-14 years) with liver tumors were retrieved from two Southern-Eastern European areas (Greece; 2001-2019 and Moscow; 2012-2019). Kaplan-Meier curves were constructed, and OS values were derived from Cox proportional models controlling for study variables.
A total of 171 newly diagnosed cases (54.4% males) were included. The OS
exceeded 80% in patients <5 years, reaching 85% among 133 patients with hepatoblastoma (HBL). By contrast, children with other than HBL histology, especially hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) had significantly worse prognosis (hazard ratio [HR]
7.09, 95% confidence intervals [CI] 2.56-19.65; HR
5.18; 95%CI 2.15-12.49). The OS
was poorer (40%-60%) in patients with extensive local, metastatic or relapsed disease. By contrast, a significantly lower risk of death was shown in case of microscopically margin-negative resection (HR 0.06, 95%CI 0.02-0.17) and liver transplantation (HR 0.12, 95% CI 0.02-0.63) compared to the non- operated group.
Outcomes of patients with liver tumors registered in two SEE areas were comparable to those reported by major collaborative trials. Ongoing clinical cancer registration could facilitate comparison of outcomes between different study groups in order to shape state of the art of treatment.

Various immune-related genes have been suggested as significant roles in the development and progression of malignant cancers. In this study, we acquired and integrated differentially expressed genes of OSCC patients, including immune-related genes and transcription factors (TFs), from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database. TF-mediated network was established to exploring the regulatory mechanisms of prognostic immune-related genes. A 7 immune-related genes prognostic model for OSCC was obtained, including CGB8, CTLA4, TNFRSF19, CCL26, NRG1, TPM2 and PLAU, which was further proved to be an independent prognostic indicator after adjusting for other clinical factors. The immune-related genes prognostic index was significantly negatively correlated to the infiltration abundances of B cells (P less then 0.05) and CD8+ T cells (P less then 0.05). The novel proposed immune-based prognostic model not only provided a promising biomarker and a way to monitor the long-term treatment of OSCC, but also gave a new insight into a potential immunotherapy strategy.A novel aerobic moderately thermophilic bacterium, designated strain 2918T, was isolated from a terrestrial hot spring of Kamchatka, Russian Federation. Gram-negative, motile, spherical cells were present singly, in pairs, or aggregates, and reproduced by budding. The strain grew at 25-60°C and within a pH range of 5.0-8.0 with an optimum at 54-60°C and pH 7.5. Strain 2918T did not require sodium chloride or yeast extract for growth. It was a chemoorganoheterotroph, growing on mono-, di- and polysaccharides (starch, lichenan, galactan, arabinan, xanthan gum, beta-glucan). No growth was observed under anaerobic conditions neither in the presence of sulfur, nitrate, or thiosulfate nor without adding any electron acceptor. Major cellular fatty acids were C180 and C200. The respiratory quinone was MK-6. The size of the genome of strain 2918T was 4.81 Mb. Genomic DNA G+C content was 60.4mol%. According to the 16S rRNA gene sequence and conserved protein sequences phylogenies, strain 2918T represented a distinct lineage of the order Gemmatales within Planctomycetes. Based on phylogenetic analysis and phenotypic features, the novel isolate was assigned to a novel genus in the Gemmatales for which the name Thermogemmata gen. nov. Bempedoic is proposed. Strain 2918T (=KCTC 72012T =VKM B-3161T) represents its first species Thermogemmata fonticola sp. nov.Actors utilize intrinsically scaled information about their geometric and dynamic properties when perceiving their ability to pass through openings. Research about dynamic factors of affordance perception have shown that the reliability of a given movement, or the precision of one's motor control for that movement, increase the buffer space used when interacting with the environment. While previous work has assessed motor control reliability as a person-level variable (i.e., behavior is aggregated across many trials), the current study assessed how characteristics of motor control and movement reliability within a single trial impact real-time action strategies for passing through apertures. Participants walked 5 m and then passed through apertures of various widths while their motions were tracked. For each trial, we collected walking time-series data, then calculated the magnitude and complexity of the lateral sway. Assessing two behavioral measures of the buffer, we found that trial-level metrics of motor control reliability, in addition to the person-level metrics previously studied, significantly predicted the buffer on each trial.
