The shape and size of nucleus is known to undergo remodeling during processes such as cell growth, division and certain stresses. Regulation of protein and lipid distribution at the nuclear envelope is crucial for preserving the nuclear morphology and size. As size and morphology are interlinked, altering one influences the other. In this perspective, we discuss the relationship between size and shape regulation of the nucleus.To describe the phytoplankton species composition, spatio-temporal distribution and habitats during different seasons along the central coast of the state of Campeche, Mexico, southeastern Gulf of Mexico, eight shallow-water (ca 1 m) sites from the city of Campeche Southwest to Villamar were monitored monthly from September 2016 to June 2017 by taking water-bottle samples. Average water temperature varied between 22.2 and 30.9°C and average salinity between 26.6 and 35.0. The Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, the Bartlett's test and canonical correspondence analyses were applied. Sixteen potentially harmful microalgal species were found five species are bloom-forming, nine are potentially toxic to humans, and two affect aquatic organisms. At all sampling sites, massive algal proliferations occurred in June (beginning of rainy season) caused by the dinoflagellates Heterocapsa sp. (2.6 × 105 cells/L) and Blixaea quinquecornis (2.0 × 104 cells/L) and from October to March (windy season) by the cyanobacterium Trichodesmium sp. (2.6 × 105 cells/L).Microplastics are abundant in the environment and have been proven to affect ecosystems and human health. Microorganisms play essential roles in the ecological fate of microplastics pollution, potentially yielding positive and negative effects. This study reviews the research progress of interaction between microplastics and microorganisms based on a bibliometric and visualized analysis. Publication numbers, subjects, countries, institutions, highly cited papers, and keywords were investigated by statistical analysis. AT406 in vivo VOSviewer software was applied to visualize the co-occurrence and aggregation of national collaboration, subjects, and keywords. Results revealed trends of rapidly increasing publication output that involved multiple disciplines. Contributing countries and their institutions were also identified in this study. Keywords, co-occurrence network visualization, highly cited papers analysis, and knowledge-based mining were all used to give insight into microorganisms or microbiota related to microplastics pollution, and the potential impacts that microplastics biodegradation may cause. In the future, research efforts need to focus on the following areas microbial degradation processes and mechanisms, assessment of ecological microplastics risks, and potential effects of microplastics bioaccumulation and human exposure. This study provides a holistic view of ongoing microplastics and related microbial research, which may be useful for future microplastics biodegradation studies.The pollution control of the Rhine is a successful management mode for comprehensive cooperation in environmental governance, which could provide an important reference for the Yangtze River governance. This study explored river basin management and various pollution problems faced by these two rivers at different times, and also includes governance and management effects. The changes in water quality and aquatic life before and after policy implementation had also been compared. The results showed that the International Commission for the Protection of the Rhine (ICPR) made outstanding contributions to the water-quality improvement, demonstrating its management mode was efficient and effective. Cooperative communication and targeted policies are effective ways to improve the water quality of large river basins. Clear division of labor system and phased cooperation-governance objectives are also significant for the inter-provincial cooperative governance of Yangtze River pollution.The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic poses unexpected challenges to social and healthcare systems worldwide. The direct and indirect medical consequences of infection with the novel coronavirus bring healthcare systems to their limits of their capabilities in many places. The neurotropic effects of COVID-19 can result not only in neurological but also in acute and long-term psychological sequelae. In the psychiatric context, the psychological and psychosocial consequences of contact restrictions and lockdowns as well as the effects of daily reports in the media on people with mental disorders must also be taken into consideration. In this article the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic for people with mental illnesses, especially those with schizophrenia, dementia, and addictive diseases are discussed.Apart from disorders and diseases of the peripheral nerves, symptoms and disorders of the musculature and the neuromuscular transmission have also been described in association with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). In the second part of our review we provide an overview about frequently reported symptoms, such as myalgia as well as defined disorders, such as rhabdomyolysis, myositis, myasthenia and intensive care unit (ICU)-acquired weakness, which have been described during severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infections or COVID-19.Furthermore, the criteria for a causality, such as association strength, plausibility, time course, and experimental evidence for a causal association that should be applied for the COVID-19-asssociated neuromuscular conditions described in the two parts of the review are discussed. At present, in addition to anosmia, which is also known in the lay press, myalgia in particular as a nonspecific symptom are frequent sequelae of a symptomatic SARS-CoV‑2 infection.
