This work suggests that the multiple metal-organic coordination may be a good strategy to construct the multifunctional bioactive hydrogel for wound repair.

Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (hereafter referred to as Aboriginal) women breastfeed at lower rates than non-Aboriginal women. Little is known about factors associated with breastfeeding specific to Aboriginal women and infants.

Determine the protective and risk factors associated with breastfeeding for Aboriginal women in Australia.

CINAHL, Medline, EMBASE, SCOPUS, PsycINFO, and the Cochrane library were searched for peer-reviewed literature published between 1995 and 2021. Quantitative studies written in English reporting protective and risk factors associated with breastfeeding for Aboriginal women or women having an Aboriginal infant were included. Ten percent of papers were co-screened, and two reviewers completed data extraction. Narrative data synthesis was used.

The initial search identified 12,091 records, with 31 full text studies retrieved, and 17 reports from 14 studies met inclusion criteria. Protective factors included living in a remote area, attending an Aboriginal-ss for Aboriginal women and infants in urban, rural, remote, and very remote locations. Rigorous research is required to understand the Aboriginal-specific factors associated with breastfeeding to improve rates and health outcomes for Aboriginal women and infants.

We tested the effect of later school start time (LSST) by 1 hour during 1 week on sleep, sleepiness, and mood profile using within-subject design.

A within-subject 3-weeks-long interventional study. A baseline week with school starting at 730 AM (week A), followed by an intervention week with school starting at 830 AM (week B), and a recovery week with school start time back to 730 AM (week C). Mixed model for repeated measures analysis was applied to test for the LSST effect between weeks.

A private high school with high level of socioeconomic status.

Forty-eight adolescents from 3 different high school years.

Participants were invited to wear actigraphs continuously during the 3 experimental weeks. Somnolence was obtained every school day twice, at arrival and before departure of school. Sleep quality and mood profile were evaluated by standard measures by the end of each school week, resulting in 3 repeated measures for each variable.

Thirty-eight adolescents completed the study. Adolescents woke up later during week B (742 ± 0030) in comparison to weeks A (654 ± 0012) and C (646 ± 0015) (p < .001), with no significant change on sleep onset between weeks (p=.657), resulting in a longer sleep duration in week B (p < .001). Significant improvements on sleepiness and mood profile were also reported during week B.

Starting school later was effective in improving multiple aspects from sleep patterns, subjective sleepiness, and mood profile.

An important adverse effect of the drug is rash, which was reported in clinical trials and highlighted in case reports. Our report demonstrates a similar adverse event with the drug in one of our patients with spontaneous resolution of the rash not necessitating cessation of treatment or desensitization to the drug as were done in other cases. We highlight through our report the heterogeneity of the clinical presentation of the rash when on triple therapy and the need for further studies to understand the immunological mechanism of this adverse event.

To determine the effect of positive surgical margins in patients who undergo a partial nephrectomy regarding recurrence, overall survival, disease-free survival, recurrence and progression-free survival, and metastasis-free survival.

We performed a systematic review accomplishing with Cochrane recommendations. We searched in Medline, Embase, and central. We also looked for unpublished literature. There was no language or setting restrictions. We performed a random-effects meta-analysis for all outcomes.

We included 44 studies for qualitative and quantitative analysis. We found that positive margins increase the risk of local recurrence (RR 4.14 95%CI 2.75-6.24), recurrence (RR 4.8 95%CI 3.38-6.62), mortality (RR 1.83 95%CI 1.08-3.1), metastasis (RR 8.1 95%CI 3.88-16.92), and improved the recurrence/progression-free survival (HR 2.9 95%CI 1.88-4.49) and metastasis-free survival (HR 2.91 95%CI 1.25-6.79) with moderate, moderate, very low, very low, and high certainty of the evidence, respectively. We found no change in overall survival (HR 1.48 95%CI 0.98-2.22) with very low certainty of evidence.

A positive margin is an independent predictor of local recurrence, recurrence, mortality, metastasis, with no effect on overall survival. Therefore, a tailored intense and prolonged follow-up is mandatory.

In this study, the Tinnitus Primary Function Questionnaire was translated, culturally adapted and validated for Brazilian Portuguese.

This study was carried out in two stages. First, a prospective study of translation and cultural adaptation was carried out with a group of 20 patients. The questionnaire was translated, revised and back-translated from Portuguese into English. Subsequently, a retrospective study was carried out with 1,095 patients, 18 months after the first stage. The validation and reliability of the Tinnitus Primary Function Questionnaire was verified by comparing its results with the results of the Tinnitus Handicap Inventory.

The interclass correlation coefficient of the behavioral aspects ranged from 0.82 to 0.90 and the total score was 0.93, while Cronbach's alpha was >0.94 for the total score during the test-retest application. To validate the questionnaire, a database was used, which consisted of 1,095 patients submitted to tinnitus assessment using the Tinnitus Primary Functi

Prostatic radiation therapy (RT) leads to erectile dysfunction by damaging peri-prostatic pro-erectile nerves of the pelvic ganglion. Schwann cells (SC) facilitate neuronal repair after mechanical injury, however, their role in repair of pelvic neurons post-radiation hasn't been explored.

To determine if SCs cocultured with primary pelvic neurons can rescue neuronal survival and growth after ex vivo RT.

Major pelvic ganglia (MPG) were collected from adult male Sprague-Dawley rats (n=12) to isolate SCs. SCs received RT (0 or 8 Gy), were plated on coated coverslips and grown to confluence before the addition of neurons. Additional MPGs were irradiated (0 or 8 Gy) and digested to isolate pelvic neurons. Dissociated neurons were plated alone or atop SC-coated coverslips to create 6 experimental groups (n=3/grp) (i) Control (CON) MPG, (ii) RT MPG, (iii) CON SC+CON MPG, (iv) CONSC+RT MPG, (v) RT SC+CON MPG, and (iv) RT SC+RT MPG. After 72 hours, coverslips were fixed and stained for beta-tubulin (neuron markePak ES, McMains JC, et al. Cocultured Schwann Cells Rescue Irradiated Pelvic Neuron Outgrowth and Increase Survival. Increased exercise is a marker of health in fibromyalgia (FM). However, patients frequently avoid physical activity as a way of minimizing the pain they feel. This deprives them of opportunities to obtain positive reinforcement, increasing functional impact.

This study examines the mediating role of depressive symptoms between walking (as physical exercise), functional impact, and pain, at different levels of positive affect (PA) among women with fibromyalgia.

Cross-sectional correlational study.

Mutual aid associations for fibromyalgia in Spain.

231 women diagnosed with FM.

Moderate mediation analyses were conducted using PROCESS.

First, a simple mediation model showed that depression mediated the effect of walking on functional impact, but not on pain. Additionally, the moderated mediated model showed that this effect was significant at medium and high levels of PA, but not when levels of PA were low.

Provision of resources focused on positive affect seem to increase the positive effects of walking on functional impact through the reduction of depressive symptoms. Nurses can improve adherence of patients with FM to walking behavior through increasing positive affect.

We propose that the emergence of HIV-1 from latency in microglia underlies both neuroinflammation in the CNS and the progression of HAND. Recent molecular studies of cellular silencing mechanisms of HIV-1 in microglia show that HIV-1 latency can be reversed both by proinflammatory cytokines and by signals from damaged neurons, potentially creating intermittent cycles of HIV-1 reactivation and silencing in the brain. We posit that anti-inflammatory agents that also block HIV-1 reactivation, such as nuclear receptor agonists, might provide new putative therapeutic avenues for the treatment of HAND.Lung-resident memory B cells (Bmems) rapidly differentiate into localized effectors to generate neutralizing antibodies and protect against reinfection of the tissue. Using lineage tracing, Gregoire et al. now show that lung-resident Bmems may also include bystanders generated by an alternative permissive differentiation pathway.Atherogenesis is accompanied by formation of immune cell aggregates, so-called artery tertiary lymphoid organs (ATLOs), in the outermost layer of diseased arteries. In a recent study, Mohanta, Habenicht, and colleagues revealed that there are distinct interactions between ATLOs and the autonomous nervous system, which are critically implicated in atherosclerosis progression. The domestic cat is the most susceptible host to Sporothrix infection, developing severe clinical forms. Few effective antifungal agents are available for treating feline sporotrichosis, and cases of treatment failure are common. Treatment success depends on cat health status, therapy-related factors, as well as social/economic issues, but it is mainly contingent upon the host-fungus interaction. The owner's adherence is critical and should be reinforced throughout the treatment to increase the chances of a successful outcome. The antifungal agents described for feline sporotrichosis are most often used in monotherapy regimens. Due to cases in which the treatment with itraconazole failed, the use of antifungal agents in combination should be considered to achieve synergy. The combination of itraconazole and potassium iodide represents an important option for the treatment of naïve cats presenting multiple cutaneous lesions, nasal mucosal lesions and/or respiratory signs, as well as for refractory cases. However, the therapeutic options for unsuccessfully treated cases are scarce.
