Among solid organ transplant recipients, donor CMV seropositive (D+), recipient seronegative (R-) status is associated with an increased risk of graft loss and mortality after kidney or lung transplant. Whether a similar relationship exists among liver transplant recipients (LTxR) is unknown.

We assessed graft loss and mortality among adult LTxRs from 1/1/2010 to 3/14/2020 in the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN) database. We used multivariable mixed Cox proportional hazards regression to analyze the association of donor and recipient CMV serostatus group with graft loss and mortality, with D-R- as the reference group.

Among 54,078 LTxRs, the proportion of D-R-, D-R+, D+R-, and D+R+ was 13.4%, 22.5%, 22%, and 42%, respectively. By unadjusted Kaplan Meier survival estimates, survival by the end of follow-up was 73.3%, 73.5%, 70.1%, and 69.7%, among D-R-, D-R+, D+R-, and D+R+, respectively. Piperlongumine By multivariable Cox regression, CMV D+R- serogroup, but not other serogroups, was independently ranted.By virtue of strong molecular interactions, eutectic electrolytes provide highly concentrated redox-active materials without other auxiliary solvents, hence achieving high volumetric capacities and energy density for redox flow batteries (RFBs). However, it is critical to unveil the underlying mechanism in this system, which will be undoubtedly beneficial for their future research on high-energy storage systems. Herein, a general formation mechanism of organic eutectic electrolytes (OEEs) is developed, and it is found that molecules with specific functional groups such as carbonyl (CO), nitroxyl radical (NO•), and methoxy (OCH3 ) groups can coordinate with alkali metal fluorinated sulfonylimide salts (especially for bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide, TFSI), thereby forming OEEs. Molecular designs further demonstrate that the redox-inactive methoxy group functionalized ferrocene derivative maintains the liquid OEE at both reduced and oxidized states. Over threefold increase in solubility is obtained (2.8 m for ferrocene derivative OEE) and high actual discharge energy density of 188 Wh L-1 (75% of the theoretical value) is achieved in the Li hybrid cell. The established mechanism presents new ways of designing desirable electrolytes through molecular interactions for the development of high-energy-density organic RFBs.

Pembrolizumab was approved with an accompanying companion diagnostic (CDx) assay (PD-L1 DAKO 22C3) for urothelial carcinoma (UC). In this study, we further characterize the clinicopathologic and genomic features of UC that are programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) positive.

The cohort of this study consisted of a total of 528 consecutive UC patients with PD-L1 immunohistochemistry (IHC) and comprehensive genomic profiling (CGP). All PD-L1 IHC testing was performed using the DAKO 22C3 CDx assay for UC. PD-L1 positivity was determined at a combined positive score ≥ 10.

A total of 44.5% (235/528) patients with UC were PD-L1

. A lower PD-L1 positivity rate was detected in primary (42.3%, 148/350) versus metastatic sites (48.9%, 87/178). PD-L1 positivity was dependent on the location of the metastatic sites. CGP revealed PD-L1

patients had more frequent genomic alterations (GAs) in TP53 (p = .006) and RB1 (p = .003) and less frequent GAs in FGFR3 (p = .001) and MTAP (p = .028). The APOBEC mutational signatursed on the collection site of the sample, which can provide a framework for future clinical trial design and could influence sample selection for PD-L1 testing in patients with urothelial carcinoma when multiple samples are available.

In this study, a higher prevalence of TP53 and RB1 alterations and APOBEC mutational signatures in the PD-L1positive urothelial carcinoma disease subset and enrichment of FGFR3 alterations in the PD-L1negative disease subset were found. These data provide the basis for future investigation into the role of these genomic changes as positive and negative predictors of immunotherapy response. Also, differences wer seen in PD-L1 positivity based on the collection site of the sample, which can provide a framework for future clinical trial design and could influence sample selection for PD-L1 testing in patients with urothelial carcinoma when multiple samples are available. The long-term operational stability of perovskite light-emitting diodes (PeLEDs), especially red PeLEDs with only several hours typically, has always faced great challenges. Stable β-CsPbI3 nanocrystals (NCs) are demonstrated for highly efficient and stable red-emitting PeLEDs through incorporation of poly(maleic anhydride-alt-1-octadecene) (PMA) in synthesizing the NCs. The PMA can chemically interact with PbI2 in the precursors via the coupling effect between O groups in PMA and Pb2+ to favor crystallization of stable β-CsPbI3 NCs. Meanwhile, the cross-linked PMA significantly reduces the PbCs anti-site defect on the surface of the β-CsPbI3 NCs. Benefiting from the improved crystal phase quality, the photoluminescence quantum yield for β-CsPbI3 NCs films remarkably increases from 34% to 89%. The corresponding red-emitting PeLEDs achieves a high external quantum efficiency of 17.8% and superior operational stability with the lifetime, the time to half the initial electroluminescence intensity (T50 ) reaching 317 h at a constant current density of 30 mA cm-2 .

Hepatitis B (HBV) is a major public health issue with over 250 million people chronically infected worldwide. In Australia, prevalence is higher among migrant communities and these groups may be reticent to attend health care services due to concerns about experiencing stigma and discrimination. The way health workers perceive their clients, particularly those of migrant backgrounds, may influence the way they treat these clients and the quality of care provided. This study investigated and compared the attitudes and concerns health workers and health students have towards working with clients living with HBV.

Health workers (n=551) and students (n=199) completed an online survey which investigated attitudes towards people living with HBV, comfort with providing care for these clients and concerns they have about working with them.

Health students expressed less comfort (U=47611, z=-2.73, P=.006) and reported more concerns about working with people with HBV than qualified health workers (U=61611.50, z=2.
