This results in high quality segmentation of larger structures such as the placenta in US with reduced image artifacts which are beyond the field-of-view of single probes.Nuclear reactions with charged particles have applications in many fields such as radioisotope production, industrial applications, astrophysics, etc. Therefore, examining the excitation functions performed and obtained by the activation technique is also important for understanding the nature of nuclear reactions. Also, it is especially necessary to study these reactions to estimate the effects of radiation damage on the fusion structural materials used in the construction of the first walls and core of the reactor. In this study, cross-section data have been calculated theoretically to 45Sc (d, 3n)44Ti, 63Cu (d, 3n)62Zn, 89Y (d, 3n)88Zr, and 100Mo (d, 3n)99Tc reactions in the range of 1-50 MeV energy via ALICE/ASH, TALYS 1.95 and Empire 3.2.2 nuclear reaction codes. Optical Model Parameters (OMP) calculation for deuteron-induced reaction results has been performed via TALYS 1.95 code and the calculated cross-section values are reproduced well. Also, empirically developed (d, 3n) cross section formula (Kavun, 2020) calculations have been performed at 20 MeV energy. Finally, experimental EXFOR data was compared with all results and were found to be compatible with each other.The interpretation of aerial gamma ray spectrometry in term of geological and environmental analysis is undertaken herein through applying a specific methodology including different radioactive and statistical techniques for characterizing the sedimentary and environmental conditions of the Al-Rassafeh Badyieh (Area-2), Syria. The radioactive technique uses the uranium favorability index (UI) and alteration(F) parameters, that are evaluated through analyzing the relationships between eU, eTh, K and their ratios (eTh/eU, eU/eK, and eTh/eK) for the nine scored lithological units already determined in the study area. During genome replication, the RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (VP1) performs minus-strand RNA (-ssRNA) synthesis on positive-strand RNA (+ssRNA) templates to create dsRNA segments. Recombinant VP1 catalyzes -ssRNA synthesis using substrate NTPs in vitro, but only when the VP2 core shell protein or virus-like particles made of VP2 and VP6 (2/6-VLPs) are included in the reaction. The dsRNA product can be labeled using [α32P]-UTP and separated from the input +ssRNA template by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. Here, we report the generation of [α32P]-labeled rotavirus +ssRNA templates in reactions that lacked non-radiolabeled NTPs but contained catalytically-active VP1, 2/6-VLPs, and [α32P]-UTP. Despite its close viral structural and symptomatic homology, ZIKV infection does not typically induce significant thrombocytopenia. To determine the effect of DENV-2 and ZIKV infection on human platelet precursors we utilized MEG-01 cell line to evaluate the viral infection, viability, innate gene expression and release of platelet-like particles (PLPs). DENV-2 induced a higher proportion of cell death at 48-72 h post-infection than ZIKV. The median range of intracellular NS1+/E+ cells was 11.2% (3.3%-25%) and 5% (3%-8.1%) for DENV-2 and ZIKV, respectively (p = 0.03). The purpose of the study was to describe the quality of counselling experienced by total knee arthroplasty patients following surgery. The study was a descriptive cross-sectional study. The data were collected from patients following total knee arthroplasty (N = 60) in 2016 with a modified Quality of Counselling Instrument, and analysed using statistical methods. Over half of the patients (58%) were women and the mean age was 68 years (range 49-84). Over a quarter of patients (28.9%) lived alone, and about two-thirds were overweight (42.1%), or obese (31.6%). After surgery, many patients (88%) experienced moderate pain. Half of patients (52.6%) received a good quality of counselling for the disease and its treatment, and counselling for recovery from treatment (81.6%) was good. Most patients (92.1%) received satisfactory counselling about physical activity. There was a correlation between the disease and its treatment counselling and quality of life (r = -0.553, p = 0.003) and pain (r = -0657, p = 0.000). However, the total dosage of COVID-19 vaccines for children is much smaller than that for adults due to limitations from parental concern of vaccine safety, presenting a potential obstacle in ending the COVID-19 pandemic. SARS-CoV-2 not only increases the risk of severe multisystem inflammatory syndrome (MIS-C) in children, but also negatively affects children's psychology and academics, indirectly hindering the maintenance and progress of normal social order. Therefore, this article examines the clinical manifestations of children infected with SARS-CoV-2, the status of vaccination against COVID-19 in children, vaccination-related adverse events, and the unique immune mechanisms of children. In particular, the necessity and challenges of vaccinating children against SARS-CoV-2 were highlighted from the perspectives of society and family. This network meta-analysis (NMA) compared fixed-dose, twice daily fluticasone propionate/salmeterol (FP/Sal) vs. inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) and other ICS/long-acting beta-agonists (LABA) treatments, including when administered using maintenance and reliever therapy (MART) regimens, in terms of improvements in health-related quality of life (HRQoL). The relationship between changes in asthma control and HRQoL was assessed.

Microbial communities in urban environments include both human- and environment-associated bacteria that play roles in health and pathogen transmission. In this study, we used shotgun metagenomic sequencing to profile microbial communities sampled from various surfaces found in subway stations and bus stops within the Seoul mass transit system. The metagenomic approach and network analysis were used to investigate broad-spectrum antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) and their co-occurrence patterns. We uncovered 598 bacterial species in 76 samples collected from various surfaces within the Seoul mass transit system. All samples were dominated by the potential human pathogen Salmonella enterica (40 %) and the human skin bacterium Cutibacterium acnes (19 %). Significantly abundant biomarkers detected in subway station samples were associated with bacteria typically found in the human oral cavity and respiratory tract, whereas biomarkers detected in bus stop samples were associated with bacteria commonly found in soil, water, and plants. Temperature and location had significant effects on microbial community structure and diversity. In total, 41 unique ARG subtypes were identified, associated with single-drug or multidrug resistance to clinically important and extensively used antibiotics, including aminoglycosides, carbapenem, glycopeptide, and sulfonamides. We revealed that Seoul subway stations and bus stops possess unique microbiomes containing potential human pathogens and ARGs. These findings provide insights for refining location-specific responses to reduce exposure to potentially causative agents of infectious diseases, improving public health.
