15 copies/mL [Q1, Q3 3.46, 4.64]. Twenty two HBV incident cases occurred, representing an incidence of 3.6/100 person-years [95% CI 2.2-5.6]. All incident HBV cases with a follow-up sample available for screening (13/22) cleared HBsAg. Detectable HBV viral loads among chronic and incident cases ranged between 5.15 × 10 to 1.4 × 10 IU/L and 1.80 × 10 to 1.7 × 10 IU/mL, respectively. We report high HBV incidence associated with elevated HBV DNA levels despite high CD4+ T-cell counts in HIV-infected patients in Botswana. These incidence cases represent a potential source of HBV transmission in the population. Scaling-up of HIV treatment strategies utilizing antiretroviral therapy regimens with anti-HBV activity coupled with screening for HBV infections in households of the HBsAg-positive cases is recommended.Ageing people with hemophilia (PWH) have a higher prevalence of hypertension than the general population. This study aimed to determine whether macroscopic hematuria was associated with hypertension in PWH in a post hoc analysis using data from a cross-sectional study conducted by the ADVANCE Working Group (the H3 study), which included PWH ≥ 40 years of age. Data from 16 contributing centers, located in 13 European countries and Israel, were analyzed using logistic regression models. Of 532 recruited PWH in the H3 study, 117 had hypertension and a positive family history of hypertension (hypertension FH+), 75 had hypertension and a negative family history of hypertension (hypertension FH-), 290 had no diagnosis of hypertension, and the remaining 50 had missing hypertension data. Logistic regressions showed that macroscopic hematuria was associated with hypertension FH+, both in the univariate (OR = 1.84 [1.17-2.90], P = .01) and in the multivariate model (OR = 1.80 [1.03-3.16], P = .04). CC-930 JNK inhibitor Macroscopic hematuria was not associated with hypertension FH-. Moreover, in a multivariate logistic regression the odds of hypertension FH+ were increased with the number of macroscopic hematuria episodes. The association between macroscopic hematuria and hypertension was significant for PWH with a family history of hypertension.Primary osteoporosis (PO) is a common disease that was characterized by a systemic impairment of bone mass and microarchitecture that results in fragility fractures and constitutes a pressing public health problem. But the effect of acupuncture or moxibustion treatment for PO is controversial. To provide a comprehensive systematic overview of current evidence from systematic reviews (SR)/Meta-analysis of acupuncture treatment for PO pertaining to risk of bias, quality of evidence and report quality.A total of 9 international and Chinese databases were searched for SR/meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials (RCTs). The risk of bias of SR/meta-analysis was appraised using the risk of bias in systematic reviews (ROBIS) instrument, the quality of the evidence was evaluated via Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation (GRADE), and the report quality of the included studies are estimated by Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses (PRISMA).According to ROBIS, only 2 articles were with risk of low bias; according to PRISMA, and most articles were reported incomplete, mainly in Q2, Q7, Q24, and Q27; according to GRADE, a total of 28 outcome indicators were evaluated under 4 different interventions of experimental group and control group the evidence quality of bone mineral density (BMD) from treatment of acupuncture and moxibustion/acupuncture and moxibustion plus was high or moderate; Visual Analogue Score (VAS) of acupuncture plus moxibustion or acupuncture plus moxibustion plus other was low or very low; clinical effectiveness of acupuncture plus moxibustion or acupuncture plus moxibustion plus other was uncertain.Acupuncture and moxibustion can improve the BMD of PO patients according to high-quality evidence, and may benefit VAS, pain score, clinical efficacy based on moderate or low-quality evidence. Further research that provides higher quality evidence of SR/RCTs of acupuncture and moxibustion treatment for PO is required.BACKGROUND Insomnia is a common sleep disorder characterized by chronically disturbed sleep or loss of sleep, and even cognitive dysfunction. Acupoint catgut embedding is widely used to treat sleep disorders. However, there is no systematic review and data mining of the effectiveness and potential acupoints prescription of acupoint catgut embedding for insomnia. METHODS Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) from the Web of Science, PubMed, Cochrane Library, Springer, Wanfang database, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, VIP Chinese Science and Technology Journals Database, and 2 clinical trial registration center will be included. The search time will be established from each database to December 30, 2019. The outcome measures will be Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI), clinical effective rate, International Unified Sleep Efficiency Value (IUSEV) and adverse events. Data from RCTs that meets the inclusion criteria will be analyzed through RevMan V.5.3 software. Risk of bias and publication bias will be analyzed to identify the quality of the included studies. Besides, Traditional Chinese Medicine inheritance support system (TCMISS) will be used to analyze the potential acupoints prescriptions. RESULTS This study will clarify PSQI, IUSEV, clinical effective rate, adverse events, and potential acupoint prescriptions of acupoint catgut embedding for patients with insomnia. CONCLUSION Our study will provide evidence of acupoint catgut embedding for insomnia, which may be beneficial to practitioners in the field of non-pharmacological interventions.PROSPERO registration number CRD42019144636.BACKGROUND Cricothyroidotomy is the final strategy in the "cannot intubate, cannot oxygenate" scenario, but half of needle cricothyroidotomy attempts result in failure. The most frequent complication in needle cricothyroidotomy is posterior tracheal wall injury. We hypothesized that needle length is related to posterior wall injury and compared needle cricothyroidotomy with a commercial kit to a modified shorter needle to evaluate success and posterior wall injury rates. METHODS The commercial kit has a needle stopper to prevent posterior wall injury, with a penetrating length of 25 mm. We made long stopper to shorten the length by 5 mm (net 20 mm penetrating length). Residents were recruited, received a lecture about cricothyroidotomy and practiced needle cricothyroidotomy using the commercial kit on a simulator. They then performed cricothyroidotomy using the commercial kit or the shorter needle on an ex-vivo porcine larynx covered with artificial skin. An intra-tracheal endoscope recorded the procedure. The video was evaluated for success/failure or posterior wall injury by independent evaluators.
