Results Sixty children had sleep disturbance, a prevalence of 55% (95% CI 45.2%-64.6%). The two groups of APD children, with (n = 49) and without sleep (n = 60) disturbance, did not vary in their auditory processing abilities. The sleep disturbed group had significant issues with pragmatic language impairment, hyperactivity/impulsivity, oppositional defiant symptoms and anxiety compared to the group without sleep disturbance when they were analysed separately. After the variables were considered in step wise fashion in binary logistic regression analyses, only pragmatic language impairment and anxiety predicted sleep disturbance (p less then .01). Conclusion In APD the prevalence of sleep disturbance is high, justifying screening within a transdisciplinary APD assessment protocol. Sleep disturbance in APD is predicted by pragmatic language impairment and anxiety, but not by ADHD symptoms or ODD.Objective This research examines how YouTube recommends vaccination-related videos. Materials and methods We used a social network analysis to evaluate how YouTube recommends vaccination related videos to its users. Results More pro-vaccine videos (64.75%) than anti-vaccine (19.98%) videos are on YouTube, with 15.27% of videos being neutral in sentiment. YouTube was more likely to recommend neutral and pro-vaccine videos than anti-vaccine videos. There is a homophily effect in which pro-vaccine videos were more likely to recommend other pro-vaccine videos than anti-vaccine ones, and vice versa. Discussion Compared to our prior study, the number of recommendations for pro-vaccine videos has significantly increased, suggesting that YouTube's demonization policy of harmful content and other changes to their recommender algorithm might have been effective in reducing the visibility of anti-vaccine videos. However, there are concerns that anti-vaccine videos are less likely to lead users to pro-vaccine videos due to the homophily effect observed in the recommendation network. Conclusion The study demonstrates the influence of YouTube's recommender systems on the types of vaccine information users discover on YouTube. We conclude with a general discussion of the importance of algorithmic transparency in how social media platforms like YouTube decide what content to feature and recommend to its users.This study contrasted the performance of drivers under actual and simulated driving conditions, in order to assess the validity of the simulators and test the hypothesis that driving is composed of largely orthogonal sub-tasks. Thirty experienced drivers completed an on-road driving test and drove two different simulators, each simulator drive comprising seven difficulty-moderated driving scenarios. Between-simulator contrasts revealed largely absolute validity, the anticipated effects of increased difficulty within driving scenarios, but weak relationships between performance of different driving scenarios. On-road driving was reliably assessed by a nationally-recognised expert driving assessor, as reflected by standard statistical measures of reliability and consistency. However, on-road driving revealed relatively little cross-category correlation of on-road driving errors, or between on-road and simulator driving. Thus, despite the compelling evidence of absolute and relative validity within and between simulators, there is little evidence of criterion validity (i.e. relationship to on road driving, as assessed by the expert assessor). While teleneurology is regularly used in acute stroke care, its application in other branches of neurology was limited. Here we review how the recent pandemic has created a paradigm shift in caring for patients with chronic neurological disorders and how academic institutions have responded to the present need. Method Literature review was performed to examine the recent changes in health policies. Number of outpatient visits and televisits in the Department of Neurology was reviewed from Yale University School of Medicine and Johns Hopkins School of Medicine to examine the road to transition to televisit. Results The federal government and the insurance providers extended their supports during the COVID-19 pandemic. Several rules and regulations regarding teleneurology were revised and relaxed to address the current need. New technologies for video conferencing were incorporated. The transition to televisits went smoothly in both the institutions and number of face-to-face encounters decreased dramatically along with a rapid rise in televisits within 2 weeks of the declaration of national emergency. Here we describe the first series of MSCHs arising in the gastroesophageal junction (GEJ) and discuss their clinicopathologic features in comparison with their colorectal counterparts. We searched the UCLA pathology database from 01/2014 to 12/2018 to identify cases carrying the diagnosis of MSCH. A total of 48 cases (45 in-house, 3 consults) of colorectal MSCHs and 6 cases (1 in-house, 5 consults) of GEJ MSCHs were identified. For GEJ MSCHs, there were 4 males and 2 females with an average age of 70.2 years (range 57-76 years). Clinical indications for endoscopy included history of gastroesophageal reflux disease (n = 2), heartburn (n = 2), dysphagia (n = 1), and iron deficiency anemia (n = 1). Endoscopic findings at the GEJ were available for 5 patients including irregular Z-line (n = 3), mild nodular carditis (n = 1), and normal (n = 1). None of them showed a polyp or nodule. The mean size of the lesion was 2.8 mm (range 2-4 mm) microscopically. None of the colorectal or GEJ MSCH cases had an association with inherited syndromes. In conclusion, MSCH of the gastrointestinal tract is predominantly seen in the colorectum, but also infrequently seen in the GEJ. GEJ MSCH shares histologic and immunohistochemical features with its colorectal counterpart, but is usually an incidental finding with no endoscopically visible lesion. Infants expected effective communication between the two actresses when they belonged to the same linguistic group. When they demonstrated to speak distinct languages, however, only bilinguals expected that the communicator's message would be effectively transmitted to the recipient -they found more surprising the condition in which the recipient gave to the communicator the non-preferred object (vs. the preferred). S-adenosyl-L-methionine (S)-norcoclaurine-6-O-methyltransferase (6OMT) is a rate-limiting step involved in the biosynthesis of tetrandrine. In this study, we identify S-adenosyl-L-methionine (S)-norcoclaurine-6-O-methyltransferase from S. tetrandra, which catalyzes the conversion of (S)-norcoclaurine to (S)-coclaurine. Four 6OMT-like genes were cloned from S. tetrandra. An in vitro enzyme assay showed that St6OMT1 could catalyze the conversion of (S)-norcoclaurine to produce (S)-coclaurine. St6OMT2 can catalyze the production of very few (S)-coclaurine molecules, accompanied by more by-products with m/z 300, compared to St6OMT1. The newly discovered 6OMTs will provide an optional genetic component for benzylisoquinoline alkaloid (BIA) synthetic biology research. The aim of this study was to identify transcription factors regulating pigmentation of the bumps. We identified two R2R3-MYB genes, MYB19Long and MYB19Short, in Lilium leichtlinii, L. lancifolium, and Asiatic hybrid lily cultivars. Their amino acid sequences were similar; however, part of the C-terminal region was triplicated in MYB19Long. Spatial and temporal expression profiles in lilies were strongly associated with anthocyanin biosynthesis gene expression in the bumps, and some defects were found in these genes in L. lancifolium 'Pure Gold' that developed colorless bumps. Thus, both MYB19Long and MYB19Short were likely to be involved in the bump pigmentation.
