Multivariable analyses revealed that Raynaud's phenomenon and myositis independently predicted the development of SDI in patients with anti-ARS antibody. In conclusion, digital ulcers, necrosis, or gangrene seem to be more common presentations in our study, and Raynaud's phenomenon and myositis can predict the complications of SDI in anti-ARS antibody-positive patients.The effects of corn particle size and dietary fibre on the performance, coefficient of apparent ileal digestibility (CAID) and intestinal characteristics in broiler starters fed pelleted diets were studied. The experiment included 10 treatments arranged as a 2 × 5 factorial with two corn particle sizes (GMD of 1071 [CGC] vs. 534 [FGC]) and five diets that consisted in a low-fibre diet and four extra diets resulting from the inclusion of insoluble fibre sources (10 g/kg of lignocellulose (LC), and 30 g/kg of oat hulls; OH, rice hulls; RH, and sunflower hulls; SFH). In coarse grinding, all-fibre sources improved body weight gain and feed intake compared to the control diet (p less then 0.01). Feed conversion ratio (FCR) improved with fibre supplementation (p less then 0.01) and fine grinding of corn (FGC) (p less then 0.01). Coarse grinding of corn (CGC) and inclusion of RH, SFH and OH reduced gizzard pH (p less then 0.01). Fibre inclusion increased ileal fat and Ca digestibility (p less then 0.01), gizzard weight (p less then 0.01), digesta transit time (p less then 0.01) and length of duodenum and small intestine (p less then 0.01). The CAID of phosphorus increased in CGC fed birds and inclusion of RH, SFH and OH (p less then 0.05). The weight of gizzard, proventriculus and pancreas (p less then 0.01) was greater in CGC fed birds. Feeding SFH, RH and OH (p less then 0.01), and CGC (p less then 0.01) increased the villus height (VH) of the duodenum. The OH, RH and SFH supplementation increased the caecal population of Lactobacillus spp. and total anaerobic bacteria (p less then 0.01) only in FGC fed birds. Overall, birds fed pelleted diets containing RH, OH and SFH (3%) exhibited improved performance, and increased nutrient digestibility, which may be caused by developed gizzards and intestine. Furthermore, coarse grinding of corn is beneficial to gizzard development.The protective effect of Lactobacillus plantarum HFY09 (LP-HFY09) on alcohol-induced gastric ulcers was investigated. Gastric morphology observation and pathological tissue sections showed that LP-HFY09 effectively relieved gastric tissue injury. The biochemical indicator detection showed that LP-HFY09 increased superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px), glutathione (GSH), prostaglandin E2 (PGE2), and somatostatin (SS) levels, and decreased malondialdehyde (MDA) levels. Moreover, LP-HFY09 inhibited the levels of inflammatory cytokines interleukin (IL)-1β, IL-6, and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), and elevated the level of anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-10. The quantitative polymerase chain reaction (q-PCR) examination revealed that LP-HFY09 enhanced the mRNA expression of nuclear factor E2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) and downstream genes, including copper/zinc superoxide dismutase (SOD1), heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1), gamma-glutamylcysteine synthetase (GSH1), manganese superoxide dismutase (SOD2), catalase (CAT), and GSH-Px. This study indicated that LP-HFY09 alleviated alcohol-induced gastric ulcers by increasing gastric mucosa defense factor, and inhibiting oxidative stress and the inflammatory response. PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS LP-HFY09 has the potential to be investigated as a treatment for gastric injury induced by alcohol.The confluence of immunology and oncology has led to a lot of uncertainty and questions about relevant biomarkers. Despite the complexity of the tumour microenvironment, most clinical studies have relied on a single-parameter immunohistochemical assay to prospectively select patients for checkpoint inhibitor therapy; the results of this strategy have been highly variable and often less than optimal. While great efforts have been made to identify additional or alternative biomarkers, pathologists, drug developers, and clinicians alike have faced technical, logistical, and regulatory challenges on how to implement them successfully. In this review, we will discuss these challenges; we will also highlight recent advances in dissecting the functional diversity of immune cell populations within the tumour microenvironment and their potential for improved, biomarker-driven therapeutic strategies. The dynamic nature and cellular diversity of the tumour microenvironment may challenge past models of a single biomarker predicting patient response and clinical outcome. © 2021 The Authors. There are strong relationships between overactive bladder (OAB) and psychological factors. The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between OAB and attachment.

Patients who presented with OAB symptoms and were first diagnosed with OAB were included in the study. Patient and control groups were matched in terms of age and gender. A urological and psychiatric examination was performed on each participant. The severity of patients' OAB symptoms was assessed using the Overactive Bladder-V8 Questionnaire (OAB-v8). The characteristics of attachment patterns were evaluated using The Close Relationships Scale Revised.

The OAB and control groups included 41 and 43 participants, respectively. No significant difference was found between the two groups with regard to alcohol abuse, daily cigarette consumption, marital status, and gender. The prevalence of anxious attachment was significantly higher in the OAB group than in the control group (p < 0.001), whereas no significant difference was found with regard to avoidant attachment (p = 0.18). A significant relationship was found between the OAB-v8 score and anxious attachment in OAB patients (r = 0.50; p < 0.001).

Our findings suggest that insecure attachment, especially anxious attachment is associated with OAB and the severity of OAB symptoms. More extensive and longitudinal studies can better show the relationship between attachment and OAB. Future research may focus on the possibility of causality between attachment and OAB.
