Results showed that different degrees of LEA (varying heights, unilateral/bilateral) have diverse effects on the patient's hemodynamic environment. This study explained the potential pathogenesis of cardiovascular diseases after LEA from a hemodynamic perspective and provided a certain reference value for the improvement of the cardiovascular hemodynamic environment and the prevention of cardiovascular diseases in lower extremity amputees.

As in Greek settings there is a need to develop validated patient-reported outcomes (PROs) for pelvic floor dysfunction, this study's aim was to cross-culturally adapt and validate the Australian Pelvic Floor Questionnaire (APFQ) into Greek, a 42-item PRO for routine urogynaecological evaluation of four domains; bladder, bowel, prolapse and sexual function.

Cross-cultural translation was completed through official multistage forward and back-translation process. Validation involved administering the adapted APFQ (APFQ_GR) to women visiting Greek community-based healthcare settings. International Consultation on Incontinence Questionnaire-Urinary Incontinence Short Form (ICIQ-UI SF) was also administered. Comparison between women with and without pelvic floor dysfunction (symptomatic versus control) was also undertaken for exploring discriminatory validity. Test-retest reliability was explored by re-administering APFQ_GR 10-15days following initial testing and internal consistency was explored against eachmptomatic and asymptomatic women. Test-retest reliability was excellent (ICC

=≥0.998). Internal consistency was very good for each domain and total items' score (Cronbach's α=0.714-0.924).

The Greek APFQ was proven appropriate, comprehensible, valid and reliable for women with urinary incontinence and can thus, be used across Greek healthcare settings. Prolapse and bowel domains merit further research.

The results demonstrated that after 8 weeks of horticultural activities, the effect sizes (Cohen's d) of their quality of life, perceived stress, and working memory were 0.92, -1.32, and 0.62, respectively. Among the four domains of quality of life, the social relationships domain improved the most. For perceived stress, the score of the experimental group decreased from 1.70 (0.48) to 1.29 (0.58). For working memory, the score increased from 3.43 (1.13) to 4.14 (1.27), whereas the score of the control group did not change substantially. Statistical analysis conducted using a generalized estimating equation revealed a significant interaction effect between group and time (P less then 0.001). This study provides a reference for improving the quality of life, perceived stress, and working memory in older people. The most hazardous abiotic stress, salinity, restricted the world crop production, and grain chalkiness affected the grain quality to limit consumers' acceptance. The basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) proteins modulate massive biological processes in plants. Here the CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing mutants were obtained to detect the function of OsbHLH044. The loss-of-function of OsbHLH044 mutants showed numerous altered plant phenotypes. Notably, the osbhlh044 mutants resulted in prominently reduced morphological and physiological parameters under salt stress. Lower antioxidant activities and higher lipid peroxidation and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) accumulation in the osbhlh044 mutants caused salinity sensitivity due to elevated reactive oxygen species (ROS). Under salt stress, both shoots and roots of the osbhlh044 mutants acquired higher Na+. Moreover, the expression of ion homeostasis-related genes (OsHKTs, OsHAK, OsSOSs, and OsNHX) and ABA-responsive gene (OsLEA3) was significantly altered in the osbhlh044 mutants after salt stress. The expression levels of genes coding for starch (OsAGPL1, OsSSIIa, OsWx, and OsFLO2) and seed storage proteins (GluA1 and Globulin 1) were significantly decreased, indicating that they synthesize less store starch and proteins, resulting in grain chalkiness in the osbhlh044 mutants. Yeast one Hybrid (Y1H) showed that OsbHLH044 could activate salt- (OsHKT1;3, OsHAK7, OsSOS1, OsSOS2, OsNHX2, and OsLEA3 but not OsHKT2;1), and starch-related genes (OsSSIIa, OsWx, and OsFLO2) by binding to the G-boxes of their promoters. Therefore, the OsbHLH044 gene editing mutants revealed multiple functions, specifically a positive regulator of salt stress and grain quality, which might bring new insights into the breeding of rice varieties.

In families of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) the mother-child relationship can be affected by many factors; however, the impacts of maternal broad autism phenotype (BAP) and attachment styles are unknown. This study investigated predictors of emotional availability in the mother-child relationship in families of children with ASD.

Mothers (N=231) of children with ASD living in Australia completed questionnaires assessing emotional availability in the parent-child relationship (mutual attunement, child involvement, affect quality) and mothers' BAP, mental health, adult attachment style and parenting experiences. Hierarchical multiple regressions and a mediation analysis were conducted.

Parent-reported positive parenting experiences was the greatest predictor of mutual attunement, child involvement and affect quality in the parent-child relationship. Maternal stress and anxiety predicted poorer mutual attunement, stress and depressive symptoms predicted less child involvement and anxiety predicted worse affect quality. Negative parenting experiences, maternal anxiety and stress mediated the relationship between BAP and mutual attunement.

Interventions combining mental health and parenting support for mothers of children with ASD to bolster emotional availability within the mother-child relationship may be warranted.

Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is a severe interstitial lung disease for which two effective antifibrotics, nintedanib and pirfenidone, are available. However, many patients receive a reduced dosage or pause treatment due to side effects although the impact of antifibrotic treatment reduction is uncertain.

We retrospectively investigated the impact of antifibrotic treatment reduction on death in a large real-life IPF cohort. The primary endpoint of the analyses was time until death by any cause. Five patient groups were defined based on treatment intensity (full, reduced or no treatment) and the antifibrotic drug type (pirfenidone or nintedanib). Between group survival was compared using Cox proportional hazards analysis adjusted for age, sex, smoking status, and lung function at baseline.

375 patients from the Danish PFBIO-cohort were followed from April 2016 until November 2021 with a median follow-up time of 1.84 years. Of patients receiving nintedanib and pirfenidone, 80.19% and 67.42% had redue, independent of treatment intensity, was preferable over no antifibrotic treatment in improving survival and reduced dose appears to be a good alternative if full dose is not tolerated.Adjustment disorder (AD) is one of the most commonly diagnosed mental health disorders and is generally conceptualized to be mild and short-lived. Despite the frequent use of AD in clinical settings, little is known about the prognosis of this condition. Our goal was to systematically review research on a range of AD outcomes in order to provide a broad characterization of AD prognosis. We conducted searches in MEDLINE, EMBASE, and PsycINFO. We included 31 cohort or randomized controlled trials with a total of 1,385,358 participants. Many patients maintained an AD diagnosis or were diagnosed with another mental health disorder months to years after initial diagnosis. Patients with AD tended to show symptom improvement at higher rates and to utilize less treatment than did patients with other disorders. AD-diagnosed groups experienced subsequent development of numerous physical conditions, such as infection, cancers, Parkinson's disease, and cardiovascular events, at higher rates than did control groups. Results were mixed regarding suicidality and occupational impairment. We rated most studies as having a moderate risk of bias. Based on limited findings, AD appears to progress as a milder disorder than do other disorders, but it not uncommonly transitions to more severe mental health states and may predict the development of future health issues, both mental and physical. Future prospective research that conforms to prognosis study guidelines is needed to better understand the course of this common disorder.Initial COVID-19 restrictions were associated with declining mental health, particularly in UK emerging adults. Mito-TEMPO Prior research has yet to examine changes in mental health in this demographic over the entire course of the three UK national lockdowns. Drawing upon the Understanding Society COVID-19 Survey, this study examined the trajectory of mental health problems for emerging adults (18-29-year-olds) from April 2020-September 2021. Mental health problems were assessed at nine time-points using the General Health Questionnaire. The analytic sample included 1018 participants (304 males, 714 females). Growth curve modelling was used to examine the trajectory of mental health problems and the associated sociodemographic and health covariates. Females and those with fewer household members, lower income, no private garden, and pre-existing mental or physical health diagnoses reported more mental health problems. Gender differences were evident in the rate of change. Females' mental health problems declined from the first lockdown until just after the relaxation of initial restrictive measures (September 2020), increased until April 2021 (constituting lockdowns two and three), and then slightly decreased until September 2021 during the phased exit from restrictions. Males' mental health problems followed a similar trajectory, with a greater rate of increase in mental health problems from July 2020-April 2021, and a greater rate of decline from April-September 2021. Females reported more mental health problems throughout the three national lockdowns than males. These findings can inform public health policies targeted toward young adult populations and highlight sub-populations at greater risk of worsening mental health. The associations of patterns of depressive symptoms, including trajectories of depressive symptoms and significant depressive symptoms among older adults over a long period of time with incident dementia are not frequently studied. We aimed to examine the associations of patterns of depressive symptoms among older adults with incident dementia. Participants of the Health and Retirement Study from 1994 to 2018 with information of incident dementia and complete measurements of depressive symptoms were included. Depressive symptoms assessed on 8 waves between 1994 and 2010 using the 8-item Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression (CES-D) Scale. Significant depressive symptoms were defined as ≥4 points in the CES-D. Trajectories of depressive symptoms and significant depressive symptoms were identified. Cox proportional hazards models were used to examine the associations of patterns of depressive symptoms with incident dementia. A total of 6317 participants were included in the analysis. Over the follow-up period of 8 years, trajectories of "increase from mild" (hazards ratio (HR) 1.
