The morphology and infraciliature of a new ciliate, Cyrtohymena seorakensis sp. n., discovered in a moss sample from South Korea, were investigated. The new species is distinguished from congeners by having rather fewer, randomly scattered, yellowish cortical granules, 23-30 adoral membranelles, invariably four transverse cirri in morphostatic specimens, and a total of 62 dorsal bristles on average. Phylogenetic analysis based on 18S rDNA sequences showed that the new species clusters with an Indian population of C. citrina.Species descriptions are provided for five new species of Hemerodromia (H. aliaextriata sp. nov., H. deprimatura sp. nov., H. oretenebraea sp. nov., H. pairoti sp. nov. H. samoha sp. nov.). The new species have an apparently obligate association with calcareous streams, rivers and tufa formations in limestone karst landforms in Thailand. Hemerodromia menghaiensis Yang Yang is here reported for the first time in Thailand.The type material of eight species of Empididae described by R. Frey in his 1935 paper referring to the Swedish Kamchatka Expedition 1920-1922 of René Malaise are revised E. (Anacrostichus) pachymorion Frey, E. (A.) vicaria Frey, Empis (Polyblepharis) kamtchatica Frey, E. ( Pachymeria) sjoestedti Frey, Hilara galactoptera Frey, H. ragasides Frey, Rhamphomyia (Pararhamphomyia) albibasis Frey; R. (Ctenempis) malaisei Frey. The lectotype is designated for the following species Empis (Anacrostichus) pachymorion Frey, 1935; E. (A.) vicaria Frey, 1935; Empis (Pachymeria) sjoestedti Frey, 1935; Hilara ragasides Frey, 1935; Rhamphomyia (Pararhamphomyia) albibasis Frey, 1935; Rhamphomyia (Ctenempis) malaisei Frey, 1935. Six valid species are re-described Empis (Anacrostichus) pachymorion Frey; E. (Polyblepharis) sjoestedti Frey; Hilara lactescens Frey (= H. galactoptera Frey); H. ragasides Frey; Rhamphomyia (Pararhamphomyia) albibasis Frey; R. (Ctenempis) malaisei Frey.Peronia J. Fleming, 1822 is an eupulmonate slug genus with a wide distribution in the Indo-Pacific Ocean. Currently, nine species are considered as valid. However, molecular data indicate cryptic speciation and more species involved. Here, we present results on a new species found in the Persian Gulf, a subtropical region with harsh conditions such as elevated salinity and high temperature compared to the Indian Ocean. Peronia persiae sp. nov. is described based on molecular, histological, anatomical, micro-computer tomography and scanning electron microscopy data. ABGD, GMYC and bPTP analyses based on 16S rDNA and cytochrome oxidase I (COI) sequences of Peronia confirm the delimitation of the new species. Moreover, our 14 specimens were carefully compared with available information of other described Peronia species. Peronia persiae sp. nov. is distinct in a combination of characters, including differences in the genital (ampulla, prostate, penial hooks, penial needle) and digestive systems (lack of pharyngeal wall teeth, tooth shape in radula, intestine of type II).Four new species of Nemeritis Holmgren are described, N. ananenkoi sp. nov. from the Balkan Peninsula, N. baranovi sp. nov. from Mongolia, N. bespalovi sp. nov. from Turkey, and N. legasovi sp. nov. from Mongolia. Additionally, the first reports of N. aequalis Horstmann from Republic of North Macedonia, N. caudata (Szépligeti) from Greece, N. lativentris Thomson from Hungary, N. macrocentra (Gravenhorst) from Mongolia and Serbia, N. minor (Szépligeti) from Republic of North Macedonia, N. pygmaea Horstmann from Hungary, N. scaposa Horstmann from Mongolia, N. silvicola Horstmann, N. specularis Horstmann and N. stenura Thomson from Hungary are given. Among them two species, N. macrocentra (Gravenhorst) and N. scaposa Horstmann, are new for the Eastern Palaearctic region.This study describes a new genus and two new species of Tanaidacea that were collected from the Singaporean exploratory area (OMS) of the polymetallic nodule fields in the eastern end of the Clarion-Clipperton Fracture Zone, Pacific Ocean. The descriptions are based on material collected during the research cruise ABYSSLINE II, which was conducted in the year 2015, covering abyssal depths of 4041-4227 m. These new species are paratanaoideans belonging to the genera Unispinosus n. gen. and Portaratrum Guerrero-Kommritz, 2003 of the family incertae sedis.Two new aquatic oligochaete species are described from tufa barriers in Croatia. The lumbriculid Stylodrilus tofaceus Rodriguez et al. n. sp. is mainly distinguished from congeners by the spindle-shaped spermathecal ducts with high lining epithelium, and position of the spermathecal pores. These two new taxa reveal that aquatic oligochaete communities in tufa barriers of karstic regions may be of particular interest with respect to diversity of endemic taxa, and also for study of colonization routes of this interesting habitat, with possible relations with groundwaters. The finding of one specimen attributable to the genus Eclipidrilus may open ainteresting research on the biogeography of this Nearctic genus.The species of Torymus Dalman (Hymenoptera Torymidae) from Japan are revised, of which the following 14 species are newly described Torymus achyranthii n. sp., T. aciculatus n. sp., T. acutissimus n. sp., T. angustitemple n. sp., T. brevicaudatus n. sp., T. hirtipennis n. sp., T. macrops n. sp., T. matsunagae n. sp., T. minamii n. sp., T. quernus n. sp., T. rugosus n. sp., T. sasae n. sp., T. sawadai n. sp., and T. wanggyui n. sp. In addition, T. cerri (Mayr), T. fuscicornis (Walker), T. nitidulus (Walker), and T. rosariae Graham and Gijswijt are newly recorded from Japan. A key to species of the Japanese Torymus based on female characteristics is provided.Phytoecia (Neomusaria) kazaryani sp. nov. similar to Ph. (N.) suvorowi Pic, 1905 is described from Armenia; Phytoecia (Parobereina) kashanica sp. nov. similar to Ph. (P.) vittipennis Reiche, 1877 is described from Iran.
