World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

The item upgrade allows players to boost an item's gear rating up to 700 points and give it a bonus. Items can be upgraded by keeping them in inventory and heading to the kiln.

Certain items can be upgraded for their unique stats (like a perfectly rolled breakpoint armour used in melee PvP) while other items, such as weapons do not vary greatly post upgrade, so they aren't worth upgrading.

Weapons

Weapons can be upgraded to improve their numeric stats, such as the chance to crit, attack damage, PvE and damage from PvP. Weapons come with a flat rate bonus that increases damage per second. Additionally, many weapons have a set bonus that activates when three or more of the same weapon is present on a single unit. This bonus could be more than the damage that a weapon upgrade can do on its own.

The cost of upgrading a weapon varies on its rarity and current level. For example, an +2 weapon requires two standard Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade the gun will increase until it needs a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point it will reset to one.

Upgrades to weapons will also reroll the stats of their base. This is usually a positive factor, but it could also have negative effects. Upgrades can make items unusable, unless you are very lucky.

Armor items can also be upgraded to improve their performance. This will increase the defense base of a chest or helm while belts and gloves will boost their required strength and agility. Armor offers a rerolling option for its Enhanced Defense%. This means that it is able to reduce its value.

The upgrade template of a weapon will display the new stats it will gain when upgrading along with the relative value of those stats. This means that a change from an 8 attack-damage sword to an 11-attack-damage sword would result in the weapon gaining an attack damage of 3. However, the 3% doesn't mean that it will be hit for 3 fewer times, since it is an absolute number.

Rerolling a weapon can be possible by pressing the green button on the item menu, using the arrows that circle. This will roll the item and alter its stats, however, it will not reset the weapon's level or tie it to the account status.

Armor

A few tweaks to your armor can make a huge differences in your ability to survive. Certain sets can offer MASSIVE increases in poison or curse, fire or magic resistance, which can make traversing tough areas a breeze. In general, the greater defense you have for your character, the more health you will gain from each point. Therefore, it is recommended to upgrade your armor.

You can upgrade your armor by visiting one of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four in total, and each requires you to complete a specific side quest that involves the Stable Trotters musical troupe. After you've completed the main quest and the associated fountains, you'll have the option of talking to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the armor upgrade menu.

The amount of materials needed to upgrade each piece of armor is different. You'll require anything from three Red Chuchu jellies and 10 Rupees to upgrade the initial armor piece, and between five Rubies or 10 Fire-Breath Horns to upgrade each subsequent one. The Champion Leathers, as an example, can be upgraded to a 5 defense rating, which will allow you to stay ahead in frigid conditions with a lot of foes. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other is able to be upgraded as high as +20 defense to ensure you can survive a raid with your comrades.

Note that armor can't be upgraded in the same way as weapons, so you'll have to work on upgrading it for physical power if you're a Warrior or Spell Power in the case of Mage. It is recommended to save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor you will still be wearing by the end of the story, such as the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you use in the final boss fight The Monter Parts Merchant Mask.

By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town in Gerudo Town, you can unlock some perks on your armor. It is generally recommended to save these upgrades to the weapon you'll be using to beat the game. For instance the Longsword or Battleaxe. However, it's beneficial to have a few upgrades to the helmets and chest armor to allow you to escape some monsters.

Potions

Potions are bottled substances that, when consumed, provide the user with an effect on their status for a short period of time. There are five types of potions with different effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded to enhance their effectiveness. You can also increase the effects of certain potions by including glowstone dust and redstone.

Potion upgrades cost a certain amount of XP. These can be earned by making them on a crafting table or in the chest of the Alchemist. However, the cost of upgrading is dependent on the type of potion you'd like to upgrade, and also on the item's Mark Level as well as its rarity.

To upgrade a potion to the next level, right-click on it in your inventory and select the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open an GUI that lets you select the potion you wish to upgrade, and the amount of experience they will provide when upgraded. Upgrades to potions can be made in batches of up to five at a time, and the XP they earn will be added to your current XP level.

Once a potion has been upgraded, it will not be degraded until you use it again or break the bottle it's stored in. You can also change the name of the potion by clicking it in your inventory.

Version 1.7.2 introduced a few modifications to the mechanism of potions. Splash potions, for example are now available with a time of zero, not the 22.5 seconds shown on the hover display of the item. The table for potion is now made of four Wood Planks, and two Glass. It can now be used in both Survival and Bedrock. Unlike item upgrader , Bedrock edition potions can't be combined in cauldrons. Also, putting a potion on a full cauldron drains the liquid and replenishes the bottle.

In addition, there are lingering potions that are brewed using dragon breath and splash potions. In the same way, a lingering potion can be enhanced by adding redstone. The table of potion ingredients is now laid out more in line with the Java Edition, and new potions were introduced, including potion of leaping, potion of decomposition, and turtle master potions.

Trinkets

A trinket is a tiny and affordable ornament or piece of jewelry. It can also refer to an ornament or object that has a purpose but isn't essential such as a Thimble. In some cultures, trinkets are used to symbolize affection or friendship, specifically between family members.

In addition to armor, weapons and potions, players are able to upgrade their trinkets. They can be upgraded by visiting an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate currency. As with other upgrades to items trinkets are able to be exchanged at will without losing their stats.

The upgrade vendors are found in major cities and the capital of each zone, as well as in some instances in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be purchased with gold, tokens or fragments of a rare trinket.

Upgrades are a less expensive alternative to buying a brand new trinket. It is possible to upgrade the player for less than 12 tokens. The new trinket will come with the same base ilvl as the previous one, and will include an additional upgrade bonus of 1.

Trinkets can be upgraded when the old ones are no longer needed which allows a player to increase their power and worth over time. They can be traded among players and are a viable alternative to gold.

Players should upgrade their most important items first. This means that the top-in slot items for each class are first upgraded before their secondary gear and finally other pieces of equipment they will not replace anytime soon (such as an earring or a cloak). Players should also consider their class's preferred stats when choosing the items to upgrade. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats for tank players and they want to upgrade their chest, helm, and shoulders.

Trinkets can be upgraded to a higher ilvl after they no longer have value and the new trinket will have an additional 1% upgrade bonus. A re-upgrade, however, will cause the trinket to be destroyed unless it is salvaged with the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a salvage tool. Upgrades to trinkets are more expensive than other upgrades but still cheaper than buying a new one.
