World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

Upgrades to items allow players to increase the gear score of an item to 700 and add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded if they are in your inventory and you bring them to the kiln.

Certain items are worth upgrading due to their distinctive stats. (For instance the perfect roll breakpoint armor is used in melee PvP). Other items, like weapons aren't changed much after an upgrade and therefore aren't worth it.

Weapons

Upgrades to weapons can improve their numerical stats, such as attack damage, crit probability and PvE/PvP damage. Weapons have a flat-rate bonus that increases damage per second. Additionally some weapons come with an added bonus that is activated when three or more of the same weapon are present on a single unit. This bonus may be more than the damage a weapon upgrade can do on its own.

The cost of upgrading a weapon is based on the rarity of the weapon and its current level. For instance the weapon with a +2 rating will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while an upgrade of +3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade a gun will increase until it requires an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point, it will reset back to one.

Upgraded weapons can also alter their base stats. This is usually a good factor, but it could also have negative consequences. Upgrades can make things inaccessible, unless you're exceptionally lucky.

Items of armor can also be upgraded to improve their performance. This can boost the base defense of a chest or helm while belts and gloves can boost their strength and agility. Armor also offers a reroll option for its Enhanced Defense percentage, which means that it can sometimes roll back to a lower number.

The upgrade template of a weapon will display the new stats that it will gain upon upgrading along with the values of these stats. This means that the weapon will gain 3% attack damage if it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. The 3% does not mean that the weapon will strike three times less, since it is an absolute number.

A weapon can also be rerolled by pressing the green button, which is accompanied by arrows that circle in the item menu. The item will be rerolled and alter its stats, but not reset the weapon's level or connect it to an account's status.

Armor

Making a few improvements to your armor could make a a huge difference in your ability to endure. Certain sets provide massive boosts to poison, curse, fire and magic resistance, which makes it easier to navigate through tough terrain. In general, the greater defense your character has, the more value you get out of each point of health you possess, so it's important to improve your armor as much as possible.

item upgrading can upgrade your armor by visiting any of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four Great Fairy Fountains within the game, and to unlock them all, you must complete an additional quest that involves the Stable Trotters. After you've completed the main quest and the associated fountains, you can talk to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the menu for upgrading armor.

Each piece of armor can be upgraded to three levels and the amount of materials and Rupees required for each level will differ. In general, you'll need at anything from three to ten Red Chuchu jellies and 10 Rupees for the initial upgrade, and anywhere between five Rubies and ten Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns for each subsequent upgrade. The Champion Leathers, as an example can be upgraded to an increase of 5 defense rating, which will allow you to remain competitive in frigid conditions with a large number of foes. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other hand, can be upgraded as high as +20 defense to ensure you can survive a raid with your comrades.

It's important to note that armor cannot be upgraded in the same way as weapons, so you'll have to work on upgrading it to gain physical power if you're Warrior or Spell Power in the case of a Mage. It is also recommended to save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor that you'll still wear by the end of the story, for example the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you wear in the final boss fight, the Monter Parts Merchant Mask.

By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town, you can gain some benefits to your armor. Generally speaking, you'll want to keep these upgrades for the weapon you'll be using to win the game like the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer however, it could be useful to have some improvements to the chest armor and helmets that let you stealthy battle certain monsters.

Potions

Potions are liquids that when consumed by a player, give the player with a temporary effect for a short period of time. There are five different types of potions, each with specific effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded to enhance their level of effectiveness. You can also increase the effects of certain potions by adding redstone dust and glowstone dust.

Upgrades to your potion require a specific amount XP. This can be earned through crafting them on a table or by storing them in the Alchemist chest. However, upgrade item of upgrading is dependent on the type of potion you'd like to upgrade, as well as on the item's Mark Level and Rarity.

To upgrade a potion, right-click on it in your inventory and choose the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open a GUI which allows you to select the potions that you wish to upgrade, and the amount of experience they'll provide when upgraded. The upgrade of potions can be completed in batches of up to five at a time and the XP that they generate will be added to your current XP level.

Once a potion is upgraded and stored, it will not degrade until you use it again or break the bottle within which it is stored. You can also change the name of the potion by clicking it in your inventory.

There were a few changes to the mechanics of potions in version 1.7.2. Splash potions for instance, now have a duration 0:08 instead of the 22.5 seconds shown on the hover display for the item. The table of potion can now be made using four Wood Planks and two Glass. It is now able to be utilized in both Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions are not compatible with cauldrons like Java Edition. Similarly, using a potion on a full cauldron drains the contents and refills the bottle.

Finally, there are lingering potions that are brewed with dragon breath and splash potions. Redstone can also be added to lingering potions to enhance their effects. The potion table is now laid out more in line with the Java Edition, and new potions were introduced, including the potion of leaping, the potion of decomposition, and turtle master potions.

Trinkets

A trinket is a small and inexpensive ornament or piece of jewelry. It can also refer to a piece of art or a decoration that serves a function but is not particularly important like a trinket. In some cultures a trinket can be used to express affection or friendship between family members.

In addition to armor, weapons, and potions, players are able to upgrade their trinkets. These can be upgraded by visiting an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate amount in currency. Trinkets, unlike other items that can be upgraded can be swapped at will without losing stats.

Upgrade vendors are located at the capitals of each zone and in some cases in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are bought with tokens, gold or fragments of a rare trinket.

Upgrades to trinkets are an affordable alternative to buying an entirely new one. It can be done by players for just 12 tokens. The new trinket will have the same level of base as the old trinket, however, it will also come with an additional 1% bonus upgrade.

Once the old Trinkets have become not usable, they can be upgraded. This allows players to increase their power and value over time. They can be traded among players and are a viable alternative to gold.

In general players should make upgrades to their highest priority items first. This usually means the best-in-slot items for their class, followed by their secondary items and finally, other pieces of gear that will not be replaced soon (for instance rings or cloaks). Players should also take into consideration their class's preferred stats when choosing which items to upgrade. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats for tank players, then they should upgrade their chest, helm and shoulders.

Trinkets are able to be upgraded to a higher ilvl after they no longer have value, and the new trinket can be upgraded to have an additional bonus of 1% for upgrading. However, a re-upgrade will ruin the previous trinket until it is saved using the Black Lion Salvage Kit or an additional salvage tool of higher quality. Upgrades to trinkets can be more expensive than other upgrades, but still cheaper than buying a new one.
