The breast seldom harbors secondary malignant lesions and is rarer for the kidney to be the origin of the metastatic lesion. Keen Imaging analysis, as well as a high index of suspicion, are critical to differentiate a primary tumor from a metastatic lesion. We describe an unusual case of a recurrent RCC presenting as metastatic lesions to the breast and soft tissue of the right thigh in a 51-year-old patient referred to our breast-imaging unit 10 months after therapeutic surgery. An adequate and close follow-up accompanied by a thorough physical exam and appropriate imaging methods is essential to identify these types of cases.Direct anterior cerebral artery-cavernous sinus fistula is an extremely rare complication of head trauma. We describe a male patient (age 49 years) with a history of head trauma 15 years ago who was hospitalised for a bulging red eye and tinnitus. Digital subtraction angiography showed a direct anterior cerebral artery (fork junction A1 - prior passage)-cavernous sinus fistula. The patient was treated with arterial endovascular intervention, complete sealing of the fistula orifice using coils. He was discharged 5 days later with no symptoms of a bulging red eye, ringing in the ears, or nerve paralysis. Re-examination after 3 months of stable clinical features did not show recurrent fistula. In conclusion, anterior cerebral artery-cavernous sinus fistula is an extremely rare lesion, and arterial endovascular intervention using coils is a safe and effective method for treatment of such lesion.Subependymal giant cell astrocytomas (SEGAs) are the most common intracranial tumors in Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC). Very few cases of solitary SEGA without a diagnosis of TSC have been described. Most of these previously reported solitary SEGAs were located near the caudothalamic groove or in close proximity to the lateral ventricles. Here, we describe a unique case of solitary extraventricular SEGA in a 17-year-old boy who presented with new-onset seizures in the absence of the clinical and genetic diagnosis of TSC. This extraventricular SEGA was involving white matter and cortex of the occipital lobe and was predominantly hypointense on T1 and T2-weighted images with a markedly hypointense signal on susceptibility-weighted images likely secondary to dense internal calcifications. Solitary SEGA can occur in the extraventricular location in patients without TSC and should be included in the differential diagnosis of a densely calcified supratentorial intra-axial tumor in children, especially during the second decade of life.Pleuropulmonary synovial sarcoma is a subtype of synovial sarcomas that commonly arises from the chest wall, pleura, lungs and the heart. They are extremely rare, with only a few cases reported in the literature. CDK and cancer It usually affects young and middle-aged adults with no gender predilection. Chest radiographs usually show a pleural-based mass, parenchymal consolidation, or a near complete opacification of the hemithorax. On contrast-enhanced CT, synovial sarcomas of the chest wall typically appear as a well-defined, heterogeneously enhancing mass with bone destruction and infiltration of chest wall musculature. MRI usually demonstrates a heterogeneous mass with areas of both high and low T1 signal intensities representing areas of hemorrhage and necrosis. We report a case of a 39- year old African male patient who presented to our hospital complaining of chest pain of 4 months duration. The plain chest radiograph showed complete opacification of the left hemithorax. Contrast-enhanced CT and MRI were then performed revealing a large left-sided heterogeneous mass. PET-CT demonstrated avid FDG uptake in the solid components of the mass with no evidence of distant metastasis.. An ultrasound-guided biopsy was performed, and histopathology revealed a locally advanced primary synovial sarcoma of the chest wall. Treatment consisted of neoadjuvant chemotherapy followed by surgical resection.Lymphatic malformations are congenital alterations of normal embryonic lymphatic development. We present a case of a premature 7-week-old male with a large central conducting lymphatic malformation and significant abdominal chylorrhea. He was successfully treated with combined endolymphatic and surgical approaches. To the authors' knowledge, this is the first case to be described.Botryoid Wilms tumors are intrapelvic polypoid masses that are uncommon feature of Wilms tumor. The authors reported a rare case of bilateral botryoid Wilms tumor in a 19-month-old boy who admitted to hospital with acute renal failure secondary to hydronephrosis caused by bilateral botryoid Wilms tumor with ureteral extension. The patient was successfully treated with chemotherapy and bilateral nephron sparing surgery in 2 separate operations. During 15 months follow-up, no evidence of recurrence or metastasis was found. This discussion centers on two desiderata the role of measurement in information-gathering and physical interaction in scientific practice. By taking inspiration from van Fraassen's (2008) view, we present a methodological account of perspectival measurement that addresses empirical practice where there is complex intervention, disagreeing results, and limited theory. The specific aim of our account is to provide a methodological prescription for developing measurement processes in the context of limited theory. The account should be useful to philosophers of science, who are interested in the intersection between representation and intervention; scientists, who are interested in methodological suggestions for theory-development and reliability; and interdisciplinary researchers, who are interested in the intersections between the pandemic, built environments, and social processes. We apply the process-view of measurement to COVID-19, specifically, measuring replication in the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The aim is to show that our account tracks key elements-manipulation/intervention, independence, invariance, and theory-development-by organizing unfolding measurement processes. Additionally, we use our account to make prescriptive suggestions for measurement practice in the COVID-19 context by discussing the need to broaden measurement perspective on interaction, manipulation, and production.
