Results The fistulas were completely obliterated in two patients; both recovered well with no procedure-related complications. The fistula was nearly obliterated in one patient, who developed left superior cerebellum and midbrain infarct due to the reflux of the embolizer into the left superior cerebellar artery. Including our cases, eight cases of TDAVFs with direct embolization through the FPAs have been reported, and ischemic complications occurred in three (37.5%). Conclusions Advancing microcatheter tips as close to the fistula point as possible and remaining highly aware of potential embolizer flow back into the pial artery are key factors in achieving successful embolization. Balloon-assisted embolization may be an option for treating TDAVFs with FPAs in the future.Adamantinomatous craniopharyngioma (ACP) is the most common tumor of the sellar region in children. The aggressive behavior of ACP challenges the treatment for it. However, immunotherapy is rarely studied in ACP. In this research, we performed unsupervised cluster analysis on the 725 immune-related genes and arrays of 39 patients with ACP patients in GSE60815 and GSE94349 databases. Two novel immune subtypes were identified, namely immune resistance (IR) subtype and immunogenic (IG) subtype. Interestingly, we found that the ACPs with IG subtype (34.78%, 8/23) were more likely to respond to immunotherapy than the ACPs with IR subtype (6.25%, 1/16) via tumor immune dysfunction and exclusion (TIDE) method. Simultaneously, the enrichment analysis indicated that the differentially expressed genes (DEGs) (p less then 0.01, FDR less then 0.01) of the IG subtype were chiefly involved in inflammatory and immune responses. However, the DEGs of the IR subtype were mainly involved in RNA processing. Next, immune infiltration analysis revealed a higher proportion of M2 macrophage in the IG subtype than that in the IR subtype. Compared with the IR subtype, the expression levels of immune checkpoint molecules (PD1, PDL1, PDL2, TIM3, CTLA4, Galectin9, LAG3, and CD86) were significantly upregulated in the IG subtype. Selleck Galunisertib The ssGSEA results demonstrated that the biofunction of carcinogenesis in the IG subtype was significantly enriched, such as lymphocyte infiltration, mesenchymal phenotype, stemness maintenance, and tumorigenic cytokines, compared with the IR subtype. Finally, a WDR89 (the DEG between IG and IR subtype)-based nomogram model was constructed to predict the immune classification of ACPs with excellent performance. This predictive model provided a reliable classification assessment tool for clinicians and aids treatment decision-making in the clinic. As the cores of education, teachers' emotions have a critical place in academia. However, the power of EFL (English as a foreign language) teachers' positive emotions and their regulation in online mode of instruction have been ignored by scholars. With the rapid shift of education from face-to-face to remote/electronic delivery, many challenges and emotional problems emerged among teachers and learners worldwide. This entailed the necessity of considering and planning for emotional regulation to generate positive outcomes. To provide a roadmap for this line of research, the present mini-review article presented the theoretical and empirical underpinnings of emotion regulation, its origins and definitions, as well as outcomes for second/foreign language education. The study also presents some implications for EFL teachers, teacher trainers, and avid scholars of this area of research pinpointing the current yawning gaps. The role of self-regulated learning (SRL) in achieving academic success has been widely investigated for campus-based college students. However, research on online learners' SRL is limited, while the number of online learners has been increasing tremendously in recent years, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide. As SRL is context-bound, differences caused by classroom and home environments may be expected. This study investigated the factor structures of online learners' SRL in Chinese as a foreign language education and the existence of SRL profiles in online learners. Data were collected from 378 international students enrolled in online Chinese language courses in 2020. Ten latent factors were revealed by exploratory factor analysis with motivation and learning strategies scales of the Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire (MSLQ). A follow-up latent profile analysis showed three profiles of low, moderate, and high self-regulated learners. The study supports the context-bound nature of SRL and calls for developing adaptive training programs according to SRL profiles of Chinese language learners. The unsafe behavior of construction workers is one of the most important and direct causes of safety accidents. Managers usually develop effective incentives aimed at regulating worker safety behavior. Due to the large number of workers in construction projects, there are multiple differences in fairness preference, risk preference and ability level, which will lead to the complex effect of the traditional mechanism to regulate workers' safety behavior. In order to improve the effectiveness of incentive measures for worker safety behavior, this paper takes into account the multiple differences of individual workers' fairness preference, risk preference and ability level, based on the tournament mechanism to construct a competition incentive model. By designing a tournament reward and salary distribution for heterogeneous workers, the occurrence of unsafe behaviors can be reduced. The study found that in terms of the optimal level of safety investment, workers with risk aversion attitude generally invest higher than that of workers with risk preference, no matter whether they have a strong fairness preference or not; In terms of the distribution of tournament rewards, workers with a risk aversion attitude and a higher level of fairness preference need to be given higher incentives.Recent research has found that the omission of accent marks in Spanish does not produce slower word identification times in go/no-go lexical decision and semantic categorization tasks [e.g., cárcel (prison) = carcel], thus suggesting that vowels like á and a are represented by the same orthographic units during word recognition and reading. However, there is a discrepant finding with the yes/no lexical decision task, where the words with the omitted accent mark produced longer response times than the words with the accent mark. In Experiment 1, we examined this discrepant finding by running a yes/no lexical decision experiment comparing the effects for words and non-words. Results showed slower response times for the words with omitted accent mark than for those with the accent mark present (e.g., cárcel cardil), thus suggesting a bias toward a "word" response for accented items in the yes/no lexical decision task. To test this interpretation, Experiment 2 used the same stimuli with a blocked design (i.e., accent mark present vs. omitted in all items) and a go/no-go lexical decision task (i.e., respond only to "words"). Results showed similar response times to words regardless of whether the accent mark was omitted (e.g., cárcel = carcel). This pattern strongly suggests that the longer response times to words with an omitted accent mark in yes/no lexical decision experiments are a task-dependent effect rather than a genuine reading cost. Objective This study aims to explore the relationship between basic psychological needs and positive emotions of preschool teachers between trait mindfulness and job satisfaction. Methods Three hundred and ninety-eight preschool teachers were tested with mindfulness attention awareness scale, basic psychological needs scale, positive emotion scale, and job satisfaction scale. Results Preschool teachers trait mindfulness can predict job satisfaction (β = 0.265, p  less then  0. 001). Preschool teachers trait mindfulness has an indirect impact on job satisfaction through basic psychological needs (β = 0.059, p = 0.002), and preschool teachers trait mindfulness has an indirect impact on job satisfaction through positive emotions (β = 0.123, p  less then  0. 001). In addition, basic psychological needs and positive emotions play a sequential intermediary role between preschool teachers trait mindfulness and job satisfaction (β = 0.017, p  less then  0. 001). Conclusion Basic psychological needs and positive emotions play a sequential mediating role between preschool teachers trait mindfulness and job satisfaction, and this sequential mediating effect accounts for a high proportion of the total effect.Trajectories of internalizing disorders and behavioral addictions are still largely unknown. Research shows that both disorders are highly comorbid. Previous longitudinal studies have focused on associations between internalizing disorders and behavioral addictions using screening instruments. Our aim was to develop and examine a theory-based model of trajectories, according to which internalizing disorders foster symptoms of Internet use disorders, mediated by a reward deprivation and maladaptive emotion regulation. We applied clinically relevant measures for depression and social anxiety in a prospective longitudinal study with a 12-month follow-up investigation. On the basis of an at-risk population of 476 students (mean age = 14.99 years, SD = 1.99), we investigated the predictive influence of clinically relevant depression and social anxiety at baseline (t1) on Internet use disorder symptoms at 12-month follow-up (t2) using multiple linear regression analyses. Our results showed that both clinically relestulated in our model. One implication of these findings is that clinicians should pay particular attention to the increased risk of developing behavioral addictions for adolescents with depression and social anxiety.Previous studies in taekwondo have considered the use of the manual scoring system or the electronic system with only the use of the electronic body protector. The objective of this study was to analyze the relationship between the color protectors and success in 1,327 taekwondo matches from six World Grand Prix Series of two 4-year Olympic periods when electronic body and head protectors are used. In the total sample, the results did not show a relationship between the match outcome and the color of the protectors (p = 0.97, C = 0.001). For the individual six editions, the results showed a positive and strong relationship between wearing blue protectors and winning matches and one between wearing red protectors and winning matches (p = 0.001, C = 0.19; p = 0.001; C = 0.19). Regarding the weight categories, 8 and 5 of 48 showed higher percentages of blue and red winners, respectively. Regarding sex, male competitors showed a positive relationship between blue color and winning the match in 6 of 24 weight cate matches.Introduction Placebo and nocebo effects are positive and negative health outcomes that can be elicited by the psychosocial context. They can be mediated by expectations, and may emerge in somatic symptoms even when people are aware of these effects. Interindividual differences (e.g., in personality, affective states) could impact placebo and nocebo responding, but findings are inconsistent. Methods The current work examined expectation as a mediator of the association between verbal placebo and nocebo suggestions (VSs) and histamine-induced itch across three experimental studies. Moreover, we examined whether interindividual differences (e.g., in optimism, neuroticism, behavioral activation system (BAS), body ignorance) modulated (1) the direct association between VSs and itch (direct moderation), and (2) the indirect, expectation-mediated association between VSs and itch (moderated mediation). Positive VSs were compared to neutral instructions (Study 1; n = 92) or negative VSs (Studies 2+3; n = 203) in an open-label (i.
