superiority on ORR when compared with atezolizumab, also with significantly higher risk on immune-related AEs.

Results of the study revealed that there was no statistical difference on PFS or OS among agents of atezolizumab, durvalumab, pembrolizumab, and nivolumab as first-line treatment in patients with ES-SCLC. However, durvalumab was shown superiority on ORR when compared with atezolizumab, also with significantly higher risk on immune-related AEs.

Ankylosing spondylitis is a complex and progressive autoimmune inflammatory disease with a worldwide prevalence ranging up to 0.9%. Several systematic reviews and meta-analyses of traditional Chinese medicine alternative therapies, such as acupuncture or moxibustion, have demonstrated the effectiveness of moxibustion and acupuncture in the treatment of ankylosing spondylitis. However, there is no relevant literature to comprehensively evaluate the evidence. The purpose of this overview is to synthesize and evaluate the reliability of evidence generated in the systematic review (SR) and meta-analysis of moxibustion and acupuncture as a primary or complementary therapy for patients with ankylosing spondylitis.

PubMed, EMBASE, the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure, Chinese VIP Information, Wanfang Database, and Chinese Biomedical Literature Database were searched for systematic reviews and meta-analysis that review the efficacy of acupuncture or moxibusence of moxibustion and acupuncture for patients with Ankylosing Spondylitis.

Granulosa cell tumors (GCT) have an incidence of 0.6 to 0.8/100,000. Short-term relapsed ovarian GCT is extremely rare. Herein, this report aims to present 2 rare cases of disseminated ovarian GCT and analyze the causes of recurrence.

The 2 patients presented with abdominal pain.

Both the patients were diagnosed with relapsed ovarian GCT (IIIc stage) in the adult type.

The 2 patients had a medical history of surgery for ovarian GCT by using laparoscopic with power morcellators (LPM). They experienced relapsed ovarian GCT postoperatively. Subsequently, they received a repeated operation through a laparotomy approach. Numerous malignant metastasis neoplasms were detected at the port-sites. Then, tumor resection was performed.

The postoperative pathologies of both case 1 and case 2 reported ovarian GCT (IIIc stage) in adult type. The 2 patients presented disease-free survival for more than 33 months follow-up period.

The application of LPM may be a risk factor of disseminated ovarian GCT. However, laparoscopic surgery is still an optimal treatment strategy for ovarian tumors. Besides, gynecologists should comply with the tumor-free principle during surgery.

Breast cancer, a malignant disorder, occurs in the epithelial tissue of the breast gland. Chemotherapy is the standard treatment for breast cancer, however, the side effect, especially gastrointestinal dysfunction, due to chemotherapy still remain major problems. Traditional Chinese Medicine has been proven therapeutically effective on reducing adverse effects caused by chemotherapy. Shenhuang Plaster.

The study is a randomized, placebo-controlled, blind trial. A total of 160 Chinese breast cancer patients will be enrolled and randomly allocated into the experimental group and control group in a 11 ratio. Patients in the experimental group will be prescribed Shenhuang plaster application on shenque point (CV8) plus chemotherapy treatment. Patients in the control group will be prescribed placebo plaster application on CV8 plus chemotherapy treatment. The acupoint application will last 3 days. The primary outcome will be the form of faces every day, and the secondary outcomes the symptom score of traditional Chinese medicine, the changes of fecal bacteria and metabolites, serum motilin, gastrin and ghrelin levels.

This study is to observe therapeutic effects with Shenhuang plaster application on CV8 to regulate chemotherapy-induced gastrointestinal toxicity in breast cancer patients.

Myocardial strain analysis by 2D speckle tracking echocardiography could determine the left ventricular function. Our purpose is to investigate the global longitudinal strain (GLS) changes during the course of fulminant myocarditis (FM) and evaluate their correlation with cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR).Patients with clinical diagnosis of FM from June 30, 2017 to June 30, 2019 were screened prospectively. 18 survived patients (mean age 34 ± 18 years) who had two scans of transthoracic echocardiography and underwent CMR were included. All patients had severely impaired left ventricular ejection fraction and GLS value at admission that improved significantly before discharge. D-1553 research buy The patients in the healed stage revealed elevated global native T1 and T2 relaxation time and extracellular volume fraction as well, which were 1408.3 ± 88.3ms, 46.56 ± 5.23ms, and 0.35 ± 0.09, respectively. GLS from the second transthoracic echocardiography in the healed stage correlated significantly with global native T1 relaxation tnflammatory myocardial injuries during the course of FM. FM in the acute healed stage has the presence of both chronic fibrosis and oedema which are correlated with GLS, but GLS at admission can't predict the early recovery of myocardial inflammation.

Previous studies showed that microRNA (miR)-449a may function as a tumor suppressor. However, the expression pattern and value of circulating miR-449a in colorectal cancer (CRC) remain unclear. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to measure circulating miR-449a level of CRC patients and evaluate its value for predicting prognosis.Plasma samples of 343 consecutive CRC patients and 162 healthy controls were obtained. Circulating miR-449a levels were measured by using real-time quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reactions. All enrolled patients were followed up in a regular interval after surgery. The clinical data and survival outcome of all 343 patients were collected. The correlation between circulating miR-449a level and survival outcomes was analyzed by univariate and multivariate analysis.Circulating miR-449a level in CRC patients was significantly decreased (P < .05) comparing with healthy controls. Low miR-449a was significantly associated with CEA and CA19-9 level (both P <s a useful diagnostic and prognostic marker for CRC.

To explore the epidemiology of patients with spontaneous intracerebral hemorrhage (sICH) in Chengdu, China, we retrieved the data of patients with spontaneous cerebral hemorrhage admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu Medical College from January 2017 to December 2019. We performed a comprehensive analysis of the location of hemorrhage, demographics, factors of hemorrhage, condition of body, severity of disturbance of consciousness, treatment, length of stay (days), inpatient costs, prognosis, and mortality rate in patients with sICH. In total, data of 561 in patients with sICH were included. The hemorrhage site was primarily located in the basal ganglia and thalamus (64.71%). The mean patient age was 63.2 ± 12.4 years (64.17% men, 35.83% women). Male patients (mean age 62.3 ± 12.5 year) were younger than female patients (mean age 64.9 ± 12.1 year). The age of sICH onset in our sample was between 40 and 79 years; this occurred in 87.70% of the included cases. There were more males than femalesdicated they had a higher likelihood of receiving surgical treatment while in hospital. The median hospital stay was 13.0 days, while the median inpatient cost was USD 3609. The 30-day mortality rate was 18.36%. sICH is an important public health problem in Chengdu, China. A governmental initiative is urgently needed to establish a sICH monitoring system that covers the Chengdu region to develop more effective and targeted measures for sICH prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation.

This study aimed to compare the accuracy and inter- and intra-observer reproducibility of the measured elasticity between 2 shear wave elastography systems. Three breast radiologists examined 8 targets of 4 different levels of stiffness (size 11 mm, 4 mm) in an elasticity phantom (Customized 049A Elasticity QA Phantom, CIRS, Norfolk, VA, USA) using 2 different shear wave ultrasound elastography systems SuperSonic Imagine (SSI) (SSI, Aix en Provence, France) and ShearScan (RS-80A, Samsung Medison, Seoul, Korea). Three radiologists performed ultrasound (US) elastography examinations for the phantom lesions using 2 equipment over a 1-week interval. Intra- and inter-observer reproducibility and the accuracy of the measured elasticity were analyzed and compared between the 2 systems. The accuracy of shape was also analyzed by shape-matching between B-mode and elastography color image. Intra-class correlation coefficients (ICC) were used in statistical analysis. For measured elasticity, the intra-observer and int ShearScan, respectively. In conclusion, the SSI and ShearScan showed excellent intra- and inter-observer reproducibility. The accuracy of the Young's modulus was high in both the SSI and ShearScan, but the SSI showed decreased accuracy in measurement of elasticity in small targets and poor shape-matching between the B-mode image and color-coded elastography image.

Anti-myelin oligodendrocyte protein antibody-associated disease (MOGAD) is a new disease entity with various clinical phenotypes. MOGAD often present with recurrent optic neuritis (ON), and it can also develop as a compartment of neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD). Moreover, multiple autoantibodies such as an anti-myeloperoxidase antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (MPO-ANCA) had been reported in the serum of patients with NMOSD.

We report an 86-year-old woman with a 2-year history of microscopic polyangiitis (MPA). The patient had a rapid loss of vision in her left eye. No abnormal findings were observed on her left fundus, and she tested negative for MPO-ANCA upon admission. However, anti-MOG antibodies were observed in the patient's serum and cerebrospinal fluid.

A diagnosis of MOGAD complicated with MPA was made.

The patient received twice steroid pulse therapy and oral azathioprine as maintenance therapy.

Her vision rapidly recovered, and no subsequent relapse was observed during the 8-month observation period.

To the best of our knowledge, this is the first case of MOGAD complicated with MPA, and steroid pulse therapy and azathioprine therapy were effective for ON caused by MOGAD.
