People living with HIV (PLWH) are generally known to suffer from a lower quality of life compared to the one of general population, but still very few is known about the self-perception of quality of life when comparing HIV to non-communicable diseases. We performed a comprehensive assessment of patient's reported outcomes measures (PROMs) among PLWH and patients affected by other chronic conditions (OC) such as diabetes mellitus type 1, rheumatoid arthritis, breast cancer in hormonal therapy, in order to investigate differences in PROMs outcomes between PLWH and other pathologies.

As TN1 is a direct descendant of the Dee-geo-woo-gen cultivar, the source of the sd1 semidwarf gene, the sd1 gene can be defined through TN1. The morphology, structure, and optical properties of N-CQDs were characterized by transmission electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectrometry, X-ray powder diffractometer, X-ray photoelectron spectrometry, and UV spectrophotometry. The synthesized N-CQDs have excellent characteristics such as strong fluorescence, good dispersion, high stability, and excellent water solubility. The absolute fluorescence quantum yield is 1.02%, the average particle size is 1.63 nm, and the maximum excitation wavelength is 340 nm. The maximum emission wavelengths are 430 nm and 800 nm. As a quencher, lornoxicam (LNX) was used to quench the fluorescence of N-CQDs with the mechanism of inner filter effect. The fluorescence ratio of N-CQDs (F430/F800) shows a good linear relationship to the concentration of LNX. The linear range and the detection limit of LNX are 0.01‒100 and 0.003 μmol/L, respectively. An effective ratiometric fluorescence probe for the detection of LNX was constructed. The method has the advantages of low detection limit, high sensitivity, wide linear range, and can be applied to the determination of LNX in real samples. Accurate measurements of left ventricular (LV) volumes and function are important in the management of patients with various cardiac abnormalities. Two-dimensional (2D) speckle tracking echocardiography (STE) is shown to be accurate in detecting subclinical myocardial dysfunction when most of the conventional echocardiography parameters were normal. Three-dimensional (3D) echocardiography is a new noninvasive imaging technique that has been shown to be accurate in determining cardiac volume and performance. Establishment of normal range values of 3D STE over a different range of ages is crucial before applying this recent technology in clinical applications. This study aimed to assess feasibility of 3D LV STE and establish normal values for the LV systolic function among healthy Egyptian preschool-age pediatric population using 2D and 3D STE.
